Jian Lan smiled and said, “So people like me don’t really have anything to say to people like you who was born at a higher starting point.”
Xin Siyue finally understood what Jian Lan was repulsive about.
She continued to smile and answered, “I think that our background can’t determine the commonalities of our conversation topics. Maybe I could understand your feelings too? Whose accomplishments didn’t come from hard work? I can say without a guilt that my accomplishments today was also from my hard work. You dare, I day, and a lot of other people dare to say this too. Your starting point doesn’t determine your life.”
“But, the influences are critical; it determined how much effort and hard work you put in in order to get what you want.” Jian Lan replied.
“But don’t you think that the accomplishments from hard work are more satisfying than attaining them for no reason?”
“Host Xin, I feel like you are very different from the girls who came from affluent families.” Jian Lan smiled.
“So, will you accept my interview?” I think that we will have a great talk.”
“Let me think about it.” Jian Lan replied without directly accepting.
“Alright, Ms. Jian, you can think about it. I hope I can hear your good news.”
Jian Lan gave a gentle smile.
After seeing Jian Lan, Xin Siyue wanted to go home and prepare her script. But she didn’t expect the car in the corner to suddenly rush over while she was calling Bai Ning to tell her that she will be home soon. Not realizing the red light ahead of her, she didn’t have time to hit the brakes. She quickly turned the steering wheel and her car just brushed past the other car. Although the car avoided the accident, Xin Siyue didn’t expect the car to still hit the fence on the road. The front of the car was damaged severely, showing the impact of the crash.
Xin Siyue quickly dialed the police number while running towards the car. As a result of the accident, the road became congested and people started to accumulate.
Xin Siyue ran to the side of the car and saw that the owner of the red car wasn’t responding. She quickly dialed the hospital number because she seemed like she had fainted.
With the help of the public, they were able to get the wounded person onto the ambulance, but Xin Siyue was a bit absent minded: What a coincidence that she crashed into Sheng Wenyang?
After Xin Siyue cooperated with the police to record the accident, she went back to the hospital. When she got there, she just found out that Sheng Wenyang was still in the emergency room.
She was worried about the randomness of this accident. It seemed as if there was someone manipulating behind the scenes! She just arrived at Sheng Jin City within two hours and what a coincidence that she had crashed into Sheng Wenyang? And also, when did Sheng Wenyang come back?
After Xin Siyue waited for a while outside of the emergency room, she took out her phone to check. She saw a lot of unanswered calls from Bai Ning, Xing Qiancheng, and Chen Sinan…
She first gave Bai Ning a call.
Bai Ning asked her why she still wasn’t home yet and she told her that a little accident happened on her way, so she will be home later. Bai Ning didn’t ask any further. She only told her to be careful on her way home.
As she hung up the call, Xin Qiancheng called, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” Xin Siyue was puzzled, “Brother, how did you know that something happened to me?”
“How can I not know when it’s on the news?”
“Then mom… don’t tell her yet!”
“The news is already out. Do you think our parents won’t find out later on?” Xin Qiancheng asked, “Where are you now?”
“The hospital.”
“Ok, good. Go have a check up first. You might have some wounds that you don’t even know about. Regarding Sheng Wenyang, I’ll get some people to take care of her. After you finish your check up, I’ll tell the driver to take you home. Don’t drive anymore.”
“Thank you, brother.” Xin Siyue still hasn’t recovered from the fright.
She sat still for a few minutes until Weng Yinlin rushed to her.
“Aunt? Why are you here?” Xin Siyue asked confusingly.
Weng Yinlin examined her from top to bottom. “Are you hurt anywhere?”
Xin Siyue shook her head.
Weng Yinlin still wasn’t relieved. “Let me take you to do a full body check up. That way, I won’t be worried.”
“Aunt, I’m really fine.”
“Are you really not hurt?”
“No, Sheng Wenyang was the one injured.” It seemed to be severe from the situation.
