Avoid the Protagonist! - Chapter 119
Ch.119 Accident (2)
But Weng Yinlin said, “No one wants this accident to happen. You are also tired. Let me send you home first. Leave this for my secretary.”
“But Sheng Wenyang…”
“I already asked the nurse to contact her family members and assistant. I’ll tell my secretary to call you when she is out of danger.”
Xin Siyue couldn’t find a way to reject so she left first in the end. On her way home, she felt a severe pain in her temple; her brain was filled by the buzzing sound, as if it was about to explode.
As she entered her house, Bai Ning held a handbag, rushing to go outside. “Mother, where are you going?”
“Silly child, you are going to scare me to death! Are you alright? Let me see, let me see.”
Other than her pale face, there wasn’t anything wrong with Xin Siyue. Bai Ning let out a sigh of relief, “You don’t know how frightened your dad and I were when we saw the news. Good thing nothing happened to you.”
“Yeah, mom, I’m fine. I wasn’t hurt, but the person who I crashed into was injured and she’s in the hospital right now.”
“It’s fine. Go rest. Your father will take care of everything in the hospital.” Xin Jinan reassured her.
Xin Siyue nodded with gratitude.
Upon waking up, she went down stairs after a moment of trance. She suddenly realized that Chen Sinan and Xin Qiancheng were all here.
“You guys…”
Hearing the voice, Chen Sinan stood up first, quickly. He walked to the staircase with big strides and held her hand, “Are you injured anywhere?” He asked nervously.
Since the accident, Xin Siyue heard this phrase so many times already. Weirdly, when Chen Sinan asked, she choked with emotions, and then suppressed her unreasonable emotions.
She thought that it might be because of how slow she reacted, or else she wouldn’t feel the fear of the event until now.
Chen Sinan saw her pale face and her eyes slightly sparkling with tears. He can tell that she must’ve felt more scared than she was right now at the time of the accident. He couldn’t resist the urge to reassure her, “As long as you’re fine, it’s all good, I’ll take care of the other things.”
“There’s no need. My father said he will handle it and your mom also said the same.”
Chen Sinan rubbed her head, smiling. “Why separating everything so clearly when we’re a family!”
“Cough cough…”
Upon hearing Xin Qiancheng’s cough, Xin Siyue suddenly remembered that Xin Qiancheng was also there, so she quickly let go of Chen Sinan’s hand.
“Brother, where’s father?” She changed the subject.
“In the hospital.”
“Did Sheng Wenyang wake up yet?” She looked at Chen Sinan as she said the words.
“I came here right after I got off the plane.” Chen Sinan replied, implying that he didn’t know anything about the hospital yet.
Xin Qiancheng had no idea too.
As the three of them were silent, Xin Qiancheng and Chen Sinan’s phone rang at the same time; Xin Siyue can already guess who the phone call was from.
After they both hung up the phone, Xin Siyue guessed, “She woke up?”
“Yes.” Xin Qiancheng replied but his gaze was on Chen Sinan.
Xin Siyue vaguely had a bad feeling.
Chen Sinan looked at Xin Qiancheng, then at Xin Siyue.
Xin Siyue said, “Hm?”
“She wants to see him.” Xin Qiancheng said straightforwardly.
Xin Siyue just understood his meaning: Sheng Wenyang wanted to see him?
“Oh.” She reacted frivolously.
“There’s nothing between me and her.” Chen Sinan explained.
“Oh. Then are you going over?” Xin Siyue asked.
Chen Sinan hesitated.
A smile suddenly appeared on Xin Siyue’s face, “I want to go.”
“I’ll take you.”
Xin Qiancheng looked at the two of them without saying anything. He didn’t care how Chen Sinan will handle this, but if he dared to make Siyue feel bad, he wouldn’t be having it.
Arriving at the hospital, Xin Siyue saw white bandages wrapped around Sheng Wenyang’s head and she laid on the bed, fragile. “I’m sorry.” Xin Siyue said apologetically.
“Did he come?” Sheng Wenyang asked weakly.
The “He” that she was referring to was obvious.
“He came.” Xin Siyue said after a little pause.
“I want to see him.”
Xin Siyue walked out of the ward. “She wants to see you.” She said as she looked at the Chen Sinan who stood outside.
Chen Sinan was silent.
Xin Siyue gave him a last glance, then moved to the side to make space for him.
“Go in together?” Chen Sinan held her hand and asked.
“No.” Xin Siyue forced a smile and then pulled her hand out from his.
Aside from Weng Yinlin’s secretary and Xin Qiancheng’s assistant, Weng Yinlin and Xin Jin were present too. The two parents saw their interactions; although they didn’t say anything, but their eyes conveyed a lot of emotions.
