Ch. 29 An Irritated Cat (2)
Si-yul then lifted his hand and touched my neck. My pulse suddenly jumped at the vivid sensation of his hot skin on my own.
“Wh-what! That’s creepy!”
“You’re alive, right?”
“Of course!” I was a human being!
Before I knew it, Si-yul’s hand slid down my collarbone—then even further downwards. I noticed it too late because my clothes covered me. H-he was now touching my chest!
“You…!” I flinched. And yet, what I felt from Si-yul’s gaze and touch was not of perverse intent, but of pure wonderment. I was unsure whether I should be angry or not. His hands felt out where my heart should be.
“What is this structure? Hm? Is this the heart?”
“I don’t really know,” I admitted.
He seemed a little too excited at exploring my body. Sensing a critical situation, I took a step back.
“You don’t know?” Si-yul asked. “How were you able to make this? Since when have you been able to do it?”
I shook my head. All I understood was that this was a vessel meant for an angel of death, not the kind of thing that humans would be able to understand in the first place.
However, Si-yul’s desire and curiosity needed to be satisfied. He took my wrist and pulled me towards him.
“Open your mouth,” he ordered.
“What?” I said, stunned.
“I just want to see your mouth. It should be quite interesting, shouldn’t it? Just a little bit!”
“No!” I yelled back, but Si-yul didn’t loosen his grip. He was eager to find out more about this mysterious body. I shook my head, clamping my mouth shut when Si-yul held a finger to my face. I couldn’t let a man put his finger in my mouth!
“Well,” Si-yul reasoned, “We have a relationship now, don’t we? Just show me.”
“Don’t be ridiculous! What kind of relationship is that?” I said through my clenched teeth in case of a surprise attack.
Si-yul shrugged and gave his most brilliant smile. “We share secrets with each other.”
“What? I don’t know any of your secrets,” I said with a strange look.
Si-yul slowly walked backwards, pushing me by the hand until my knees bumped into the couch and I was forced to sit down. I tried to avoid his gaze, but Si-yul followed my eyes. There was a glint in his eyes that I didn’t trust.
This guy was dangerous!
“My secret—is that I know your secret,” he said.
My mouth fell open in confusion.
“Huh?”
At that instant, he slipped his finger between my lips, while he held my chin with his other hand to keep me in place. My eyes widened when I felt his finger poking and prodding the roof of my mouth.
It was a merciless touch, and he held my jaw open like an animal so that I couldn’t bite him. I grabbed his wrist that was holding me and tried to push him away, but it was hard to fight against a man’s strength. He worked with quick efficiency, born from his experience as a vet.
“It feels a little cold,” he said in a clinical manner as he continued his examination.
“Ah, uhm…d…don’t!”
I felt like I was choking as his fingers explored my mouth, pressing against the wet tongue and flesh inside. His long digits were deep enough to reach my throat, and I found myself unable to speak properly.
This definitely was not the dignified medical examination a human would receive. His wrists were firm and strong, like a rock. I really was nothing more than a beast to him!
Si-yul pulled back a little and squeezed my tongue with his thumb and index finger. “It’s the same structure as a human mouth,” he mumbled to himself.
“Eub!“
“Oh, just wait a little more, okay?” he said, still wondering if I was different from an average person.
Despite his attempts to further coax me into being his test subject, I suddenly burst into tears. Was I really less than human?
Si-yul withdrew in surprise. “…W-why are you crying?”
He released me like he had been shocked, but the tears continued to pour down my reddened face.
“Because I don’t want this!”
“I assure you I’m well-experienced.”
“Y-you bastard!” I cried. “I’m a person! A person!”
“But you’re a cat, aren’t you?”
How could I make him see otherwise? Hot tears of resentment continued to pour out of me. He had been clasping my head against his chest as if he were restraining an animal.
“I’m not an animal!” I wailed.
Si-yul continued to look perplexed. “Then what are you?”
“You don’t know it when you see it?”
I was a girl! A woman! Did I have to shout it for him to get it?
I had had it with him. With the way things were going, I wanted to tear off these clothes that he had given me as a bribe. No matter how much of a cat I looked like before, I was a human being!
I held back my sniffles, and began to turn red in the face due to the lack of air. I angrily bit down my lower lip and didn’t make eye contact with him.
Si-yul uneasily dropped his hands to the floor, seemingly taken aback by the very real, crying woman before him.
“Oh…” A look of regret crossed his face, and he seemed to have recognized his wrongdoing. He really thought the being before him was just a black cat, but now a strange feeling tugged at his chest.
“H-heug,” I sniffled.
Despite the image of a cat in Si-yul’s head, the fact that a human woman was crying before him was undeniable. The cat wanted to be treated like a woman. So how about a different way?
Si-yul remained in silent thought, before he finally spoke.
“…May I kiss you?” he said.
I jumped, and my tearful eyes turned towards him. My mouth fell open in surprise. It was an astonishing request. But then he went on to explain it in a polite voice, as if he were trying to be courteous.
“Deep kiss.”
Was it possible for someone to be this crazy? I looked at him in stunned bewilderment, but then I found I could not speak.
Because something was blocking my lips.
Something hot and wet that was now in my mouth.
