“Master, the bottom of the cliff is filled with evil spirits. How can we get down there?” Qingfeng Li asked Wind-edge Demon King with a frown.

Glancing down at the cliff, Wind-Edge Demon King said, “The evil presence is very powerful. We must cling to the stone surface of the cliff when we climb down and avoid any contact with it.”

After hearing Wind-Edge Demon King’s words, Qingfeng Li nodded and walked towards the Sky Breaking Cliff.

The Sky Breaking Cliff was extremely steep and ranged more than three thousand meters. Because of the evil presence, Qingfeng Li and the others climbed slowly. After a while, they had only climbed five hundred meters from the top of the cliff.

When they climbed to the five hundred meter mark, a humanoid creature appeared out of the black evil presence. It looked exactly like a human and seemed to be conscious, rushin towards Qingfeng Li and the others.

Wind Edge Demon King’s expression changed and said, “This is a demonic spirit, an extremely strong demon formed by evil presence.”

The demonic spirit opened its black mouth and bit towards Qingfeng Li with a sharp snap.

Qingfeng Li’s face became serious when he found out that the demonic spirit was at the pinnacle tier of the Earthly Spirit Realm. Qingfeng Li pulled out the Red Fiery Sword and hacked forward, killing the demonic spirit in one blow. It disintegrated into countless streams of evil presence and disappeared into the air.

“Qingfeng, let’s hurry to the bottom. The demonic spirits live in groups. This one is only a scout, there are plenty more coming,” said Wind Edge Demon King to Qingfeng Li as his expression changed.

Hearing Wind-Edge Demon King’s advice, Qingfeng Li was surprised. He had not thought that the demonic spirits lived in groups and that more would appear if one was killed.

Qingfeng Li and the others climbed down at a fast speed. However, not long after, countless demonic spirits began charging towards them.

The demons were large in numbers. Looking from afar, the black sea of demonic spirit had hundreds of thousands in number. They were all late stage or pinnacle stage of the Earthly Spirit realm.

Qingfeng Li pulled out his Red Fiery Sword and quickly slayed the demonic spirits close to himself. Sometimes he slayed ten or more with one blow.

Not only Qingfeng Li, but the Wind Edge Demon King, Xianzhi Qin, Flower Fairy, and the others killed the demonic spirits as well.

Even though the demonic spirits were no match for them, they were too large in number. Appearing one after another, there was no way they could wipe them out clean.

While killing the demonic spirits, Qingfeng Li and the others climbed down the cliff. Due to the spirits blocking in their path, they climbed down slower than before.

“Brat, you can use an array formation to attack,” the sound of Dark Night Emperor’s voice rang in Qingfeng Li’s head.

“Senior, I don’t know any.”

“I can teach you some simple knowledge about array formations. Because these demonic spirits have low intelligence, a simple illusion array can mesmerize them.”

Dark Night Emperor knew that time was precious, so he quickly recited to Qingfeng Li some simple information about arrays.

The array formation that Dark Night Emperor taught Qingfeng Li was the illusion array. Through four simple vitality stones, a mirror could be formed and reflect one’s appearance elsewhere.

Since Qingfeng Li did not have any vitality stones, he asked Flower Fairy and his master for four. Then, he threw them towards the opposite cliff wall, forming an illusion array.

When the array formed, projections of Qingfeng Li and his companions’ were reflected on the opposite cliff wall.

The demonic spirits were not intelligent and could not tell that the shadows on the wall were not Qingfeng Li and the others.

Countless demonic spirits opened their mouths and revealed their sharp claws before charging towards the cliff wall.

Their mouths and claws torn into the cliff. However, the stones of the cliff were made of fallen meteors, there were no way the demonic spirits could get past the walls. None of their claws even left any scratches.

Without the demonic spirits attacking, Qingfeng Li and the others climbed down at a much quicker pace.

After a short period of time, they’ve climbed down a thousand and five hundred meters. If they climbed a thousand and five hundred more, they would be at the bottom.

However, before Qingfeng Li could celebrate, danger approached. From underneath them, a giant demonic spirit appeared.

This particular demonic spirit was about fifteen meters tall, much taller than the rest of the demonic spirits. It was much stronger as well, as it was the leader of the demonic spirits.

“This Demonic Spirit King is actually in the mid stage of the Heavenly Spirit Realm,” said Qingfeng Li as color drained from his face and shock appeared in his eyes.

He could never have guessed that he would encounter the Demonic Spirit King here. Now, Qingfeng Li was not able to retaliate as he was on the walls of a cliff, not having a firm foothold. There was nothing he could do.

The Demonic Spirit King was extremely intelligent and saw through Qingfeng Li’s illusion array immediately.

“Human, you are very smart, knowing how to use the illusion array. But, you’ll die to me today anyways,” said the Demonic Spirit King with a cold voice. Disdain filled his eyes.

Though the Demonic Spirit King was composed of evil presence, he had already acquired consciousness and possessed intelligence comparable to a human.

Suddenly, the Demonic Spirit King pushed his right palm forward, transforming it into a gigantic black palm and slapping towards Qingfeng Li.

Qingfeng Li concentrated vital essence in his right fist and swung it out suddenly but could not shatter the palm made of evil energy.

The Demonic Spirit King was too strong, an entire realm above Qingfeng Li. Although Qingfeng’s Strangle Hell Fist was strong, he had too little vital essence to break the Demonic Spirit King’s defence.

The Demonic Spirit King smiled coldly and slapped out once again. However, he did not slap Qingfeng Li this time, but instead aiming for Black Puppy. The Demonic Spirit King actually recognized the black dog with one glance.

Black Puppy rolled his eyes and said, “Are you stupid? The Demonic Spirit King is made of evil energy so it’s vulnerable to thunder. You can smite him with thunder and kill him.”

After hearing Black Puppy, Qingfeng Li’s expression changed as realization dawned upon him. He actually forgot about the thunder pearl. Taking it out, he channeled vital essence into it and awakened the power within the pearl.

A red thunder shot out from the Thunder Pearl, exploding in the sky and fiercely smiting down onto the Demonic Spirit King.

The body of the Demonic Spirit King was hit by lightning and exploded, turning into countless strands of evil energy.

Seeing their king die to a thunderbolt strike, the other demonic spirits all disappeared.

Without the Demonic Spirit King hindering them, Qingfeng Li and the others continued to climb down. When they reached 2000 meters, danger approached them once more.

Suddenly, a gigantic python climbed out from under the Sky Breaking Cliff.

The python was covered in black scales and was huge. It was at least a hundred meters long and twenty meters thick. Its eyes were the size of Qingfeng’s entire body, and it could easily eat Qingfeng Li as its mouth was nearly thirty meters long.

Black Puppy’s face changed as it said, “It’s the Dark-Hell Snake King.”

After hearing that, Qingfeng Li, Flower Fairy, and the others’ faces all changed. They clearly had heard of the tale of the Dark-Hell Snake King before. It was said that the Dark-Hell Snake King was a strong demonic beast that originated from the depths of hell. It was baffling that such a beast was residing underneath the Sky Breaking Cliff.

The Dark-Hell Snake King coldly said, “You bastards are looking to die. How dare you come underneath the Sky Breaking Cliff? Don’t you know that this is the Forbidden district of the Kunlun Mountains?”

Sneering, Qingfeng Li said, “I’m here to save my father, and he is underneath the cliff.”

The Dark-Hell Snake King shook his head and said, “I am the Demonic Beast Guardian of the cliff and I forbid anyone from entering.”

After listening to the Snake King. Qingfeng Li’s expression changed as he knew that a fight was inevitable.

Opening his mouth, the Dark-Hell Snake King spat out a mass of black fire. The temperature of the fire reached three thousand degrees celsius as it gushed towards Qingfeng Li.

Qingfeng Li was surprised, and he immediately used the Dragon Steps technique to dodge to one side. The black flame missed Qingfeng Li and hit the cliff wall, scorching the wall black.

“Human, you cannot escape my attack!” The Dark-Hell Snake King sneered as it looked at Qingfeng Li with disdain.

Qingfeng Li’s face was dark and a bit gloomy. The Dark-Hell Snake King was a legendary demonic monster from hell and its strength was beyond their belief.

The black flames’ temperature was extremely high as if it had been taken straight from the depths of hell. It was hot enough to melt the cliff that was made out of meteor stone, sending chills down Qingfeng’s spine.

One had to know that the Sky Breaking Cliff was composed of extremely hard meteorite ore, and even Qingfeng Li could not dent the walls with his sword. No wonder the Dark-Hell Snake King gained the reputation of a demonic beast from hell. It was extremely strong, since it was even able to burn off a piece of the Sky Breaking cliff.

“Master, how can we defeat the Dark-Hell Snake King?” Qingfeng Li frowned and asked Wind Edge Demon King.

After thinking for a bit, the demon king said, “Use your emperor-grade spiritual device but be careful. Although the Green Tower can limit its realm level, it only has a range of fifty meters. Since the Snake King is about a hundred meters long, you can’t limit its whole body.”

Qingfeng Li smiled bitterly. He knew that he was only at the peak of the Earthly Spirit Realm and could not use the green tower to its full extent. The area it currently covered was too small.

Although he felt sharp pains in his shoulders, Qingfeng Li’s Mortal Purgatory Body began activating on its own. Emitting a faint green light, his shoulders began healing on their own.

Feeling his skin tingling, Qingfeng Li’s eyes grew in delight.

He suddenly remembered the cultivation method for the Mortal Purgatory Body. The method for practice was extremely harsh, as the first level required thunder to cleanse his body, the second level required lava to temper the body, and the third level required a three-thousand-degree fire to roast the body to fortify it even further.

Qingfeng Li had always wanted to practice to the third level, but he had never encountered an opportunity to do so until now. The fire the snake spat out was exactly three thousand degrees, the perfect temperature for practicing.

Laughing comically, he said, “I see green light emanating from your head. It’s as if you are wearing a green hat! Did your wife cheat on you?!”

Hearing Qingfeng Li. the Dark-Hell Snake King spat out blood. He had seen people curse, but he had never seen anyone like Qingfeng Li. It was an insult to his dignity.

“Although I am a snake, I still have dignity! I’ll kill him, I’ll kill him, I’ll kill him!” the Dark-Hell Snake King angrily screeched in his head.

The Dark-Hell Snake King spat out countless streams of black flame, three thousand degrees hot, towards Qingfeng Li’s body.

This time, Qingfeng Li did not dodge, but rather dashed madly towards the flames instead. They instantly burnt his clothes and his body, turning his body black like charcoal.

Chapter 1044: The Shy Beauties

 

Qingfeng Li’s body was roasted by hellfire as pained screams erupted from his mouth. His entire body felt like it was being ripped apart, as some parts of his skin exploded as a scent of burnt was dispersed.

He was being cooked alive but, thankfully, Qingfeng Li’s physique was extremely strong. Although he did not die, he suffered immense pain.

Under so much pain, Qingfeng Li quickly activated the third level of the Mortal Purgatory Body and absorbed the power within the flames of the Dark-Hell Snake King. He used the fire to cleanse his inner organs.

Qingfeng Li’s skin, muscles, bones, heart, lungs, stomach, liver, and kidneys were all cleansed by the fire as impurities were taken out. All his body parts became more dense and solid.

“Dark-Hell Snake King, no wonder your wife cheated on you. You are too weak, and your flames don’t have any attack value. You are just too impotent,” Qingfeng Li coldly said, as he looked at the Snake King with disgust.

“Human, I will burn you to death! To your death!” the Dark-Hell Snake King had a gloomy expression on its face as it roared angrily.

It suddenly opened its mouth and spat out a black demonic pill.

The pill was quite large, at least twice the size of the normal demonic pills. The normal pills were the size of eggs, but this one was the size of a fist. It was raven black and dark flame circulated around the surface, emanating a terrifying aura.

Rumble~

The Dark-Hell Snake King controlled the demonic pill and shot out a ray of black flame. The flame’s temperature reached four thousand celsius, a thousand higher than the black flame it spat out previously.

Facing the black flame, Qingfeng Li’s face did not change. Happiness appeared on his face.

“Come here, you useless Dark-Hell Snake King, give me some more violent flames,” laughing loudly, Qingfeng Li said arrogantly.

The demonic pill’s speed was extremely fast, overcoming Qingfeng Li at a blink of an eye. The temperature was even higher than before.

Loud popping sounds erupted from Qingfeng’s body as his skeleton, muscle, and skin all began tempering from the heat. This time, his wounds were even deeper. Bones were broken in some parts of his body as he felt sharp pains shoot through his limbs.

After it absorbed the energy of the black flames, his spirit nucleus mutated, changing from red to black.

The black spirit nucleus was a sign of breaking through to the Heavenly Spirit Realm. On the nucleus, a dent could be seen. It was another sign of breaking through. Feeling enormous strength in his body, happiness appeared on Qingfeng Li’s face.

Qingfeng Li was now in the early stage of the Heavenly Spirit Realm and possessed immense strength. His Strangle Hell Fist would be strong enough to do even more damage now.

Not only so, because of this increase in power, Qingfeng Li could now control the Green Tower even better. The range increased from fifty meters to one hundred, the length of the Dark-Hell Snake King.

The Dark-Hell Snake King’s face was dark as coldness flashed through its eyes. It was the king of snakes, but it was being insulted, being called a little snake by Qingfeng Li. It shook from the anger.

The Dark-Hell Snake King knew that its fire was useless against Qingfeng Li. It dashed towards Qingfeng Li and opened its gigantic mouth, planning to eat Qingfeng Li whole.

“All beings are equal, realm suppression,” taking out the Green Tower, Qingfeng Li used the emperor spiritual device to shoot out two green beams. They enshrouded the Dark-Hell Snake King and himself.

Underneath the Green Tower’s light, the Dark-Hell Snake King’s level rapidly decreased and finally stopped at the first stage of the Heavenly Spirit Realm, the same level as Qingfeng Li.

Since Qingfeng Li broke through to the first stage of the Heavenly Spirit Realm, he could cover a hundred meters with the Green Tower.

Seeing the Dark-Hell Snake King’s power decrease, coldness appeared in Qingfeng Li’s eyes. He was undefeated in his realm. Since the Snake King was in the same realm as him, it would be no match for Qingfeng Li.

Pained screams came out from the mouth of the Dark-Hell Spirit King. It was the first time it got hurt since it had taken over underneath the Sky Breaking Cliff. It whipped its tail in a curve towards Qingfeng Li’s body.

This time, Qingfeng Li did not use his fist. He kicked very hard with his right foot and stomped on its tail, breaking open the scales as black blood flowed out.

Legends had it that the Dark-Hell Snake King was a demonic beast from hell and it had black blood as opposed to red. One would not have imagined it to be true.

“Human, how dare you wound me, I will kill you,” the Dark-Hell Snake King angrily shouted and charged towards Qingfeng Li.

Boom, boom, boom, boom…

Qingfeng Li was fast as lightning. He jumped onto the back of the Dark-Hell Snake King and, waving his Strangle Hell Fist, he punched the Snake King continuously. After a while, the body of the Snake King was filled with holes.

The Dark-Hell Snake King’s body became broken as black blood spewed out of its body. Its eyes dimmed as its breath became nonexistent. With a boom, its body fell beneath the cliff.

“Boss, you are so strong! But being naked isn’t good, hurry up and put your clothes on,” Daoist looked at Qingfeng Li and said while laughing.

Qingfeng Li was extremely happy when hearing the first half of Daoist’s sentence. However, embarrassment appeared on his face as he heard the second half.

All of his clothes were burnt by the fire. Flower Fairy and Xianzhi Qin both saw Qingfeng Li naked as day. They both blushed as they turned away.

“Eww, why would Qingfeng Li just stand there naked? Isn’t he ashamed?” Flower Fairy thought as her heart began beating very fast, as if it was a little deer skipping.

As for Xianzhi Qin, her beautiful face became blood red as if it was a ripe apple giving off a rich aura.

The two women looked shy and embarrassed. They did not dare to look at Qingfeng Li although their hearts told them to do otherwise.

Thankfully, when the group entered the the KunLun Mountains, Daoist had brought a backpack which contained clothes.

Qingfeng Li took a shirt from Daoist and put it on quickly, dissolving the embarrassment.

“I am done dressing, you can look now,” Qingfeng Li said as he smiled at the two women.

Upon hearing that, Flower Fairy and Xianzhi Qin turned around and looked at Qingfeng Li’s body. Their charming faces were still blushing; it was clear that what happened just then had impacted them both.

Chapter 1045: Reaching the Bottom of the Cliff

 

Qingfeng Li smiled slightly, leading everybody in their climb down. Since they had killed the Dark-Hell Snake King, the trip down the cliff became quite smooth.

Three hours later, Qingfeng Li and the rest reached the bottom of the cliff. It was a broad and endless space, with a dim shadow in front of them, full of a furious turbulence.

It was extremely unstable under the Sky Breaking Cliff. Space became weak and chaotic here with numerous dimensional cracks appearing.

These rifts were powerful, with space fissures inside. Once sucked into them, any humans or beasts would immediately be torn apart by the strong forces, with flesh and spirit turning into nonentity and leaving nothing left.

Qingfeng Li led Wind-Edge Demon King, Flower Fairy, and the rest to carefully walk forward, trying to avoid those rifts.

Meanwhile, a mid-aged man in black showed up on the Sky Breaking Cliff. This man had a dark face, with the aura of a corpse around him.

Seeing all the corpses lying on the cliff, a touch of cruelty shined in the eyes of this mid-aged man. He forcefully waved his right hand, and a giant corpse golem was formed. It then swallowed in all the blood and flesh of these corpses, converting it all into energy.

The only thing left on the Sky Breaking Cliff then were only hundreds of bare skeletons, looking extremely terrifying. This man in black was a big shot. He was Wuxie Shi, a powerful master in the late-stage of the Heavenly Realm and the Guardian of the Sky Corpse Sect.

“Conqueror, I’m here to kill you,” Wuxie Shi said with a smirk and jumped off the Sky Breaking Cliff.

Shortly after Wuxie Shi jumped off, another ghastly elder in black arrived.

This elder had a pallid face and surly eyes, looking like a zombie. He reached out his right hand and summoned a white skull, absorbing all the skeletons. All those bones turned into ashes and vanished away.

This elder was no ordinary man. His name was Ying Gu, the Senior Elder of the White Bone Sect, with the ability to convert skeletons into his own power.

Those that died on the Sky Breaking Cliff were pitiful, with their blood and flesh consumed by Wuxie Shi and bones by Ying Gu.

“Conqueror, you shall not leave,” Ying Gu looked down the cliff, and jumped off, too.

Wuxie Shi and Ying Gu both came from heaven-tier self-cultivation sects, which were more powerful than the earth-tier sects. They held enmity towards the Conqueror and had came here to kill him.

At the bottom of Sky Breaking Cliff, Qingfeng Li, Wind-Edge Demon King, Flower Fairy, Xianzhi Qin, and the rest were pacing cautiously forward.

The bottom of this cliff was a separated space, with dimension fragments all around. Daoist carelessly dropped his sword into the crack of this dimension, and it turned into a nonentity at once.

“This is where the dimension intersects. Leave right now,” a hoarse voice suddenly came from the sky.

Qingfeng Li glanced around but didn’t find the one talking; neither did Wind-Edge Demon King.

“You can’t see me. I’m the Dimension Guardian here,” the voice rose again.

Qingfeng Li’s face turned dark; he said, “I’m looking for my father, the Conqueror, Third Master Li.”

“The Conqueror, Third Master Li?”

That voice halted with surprise. It didn’t expect the young man to be the son of the Conqueror.

“Black Puppy, why are you with him?” the voice eventually ignored Qingfeng and asked Black Puppy.

Black Puppy clearly had a powerful backing; not only was the demonic beasts in Kunlun knew him, but the Dimension Guardian here also knew him.

“Dimension Guardian, Qingfeng Li is the destined person, recognized by Heavenly Dao with the potential of becoming the future Celestial Emperor,” Black Puppy said to Dimension Guardian telepathically.

Though Black Puppy was always fiddling around, even sometimes calling himself ‘Grand Daddy Dog’ superciliously, he was actually quite clever. He noticed Qingfeng Li’s potential long ago which was why he followed Qingfeng for so long.

After hearing Black Puppy’s words, the guardian became quiet. There were numerous dimensions in this universe, and there was one guardian between every two dimensions.

This elder under Sky Breaking Cliff was the Dimension Guardian between Earth and the North Barren Planet. He certainly knew what a destined person meant. These people were all chosen by Dao, with bloodlines of certain ancient Heavenly Dao contained inside their bodies.

The turbulence above the dimension fragments kept gathering, shaping an illusion of an elderly. His eyes were profound, with two eyeballs that were as if turning like planets, containing special power.

The elder gazed at Qingfeng Li quietly, seeing planets rotating, sun and moon reversing and time backflowing. He seemed to have the ability to observe the past, the present and the future.

But with his eyes, he could only see chaos in Qingfeng Li’s past, present, and future, with everything being dim and blurry.

“Em, nothing?” The elder was shocked.

As the Dimension Guardian, the elder knew everything about every self-cultivator on both Earth and the North Barren Planet, including their past, present, and future.
