Ying Gu wanted to flee, but under the Dimension Guardian’s oppressive technique, he couldn’t even move a finger.

Qingfeng’s expressions changed when he heard the Conqueror’s words. He walked over to the Dimension Guardian, bowed, and thanked him, “Thank you for helping me, if you ever need help, know that I’ll do anything.”

The Dimension Guardian smiled bitterly and said, “Go find your father, my body is deeply wounded. I can’t help you anymore.”

Qingfeng bowed again after he heard Dimension Guardian’s words, and then he headed towards the array his father was trapped in.

From his father’s words, Qingfeng knew that it was a king level dimensional array, which was very dangerous as it was situated in an intersection between two dimensions.

Qingfeng carefully stepped inside the dimensional array. As soon as he entered, he felt a great turbulence from the space, as if his body was being torn apart.

Luckily, he was trained in the Mortal Purgatory Body technique, a self-cultivation technique that was able to suppress the powers of hell. His body became extremely powerful, such that it was able to fend off the turbulence inside the dimension.

Ten metres in, a fierce claw suddenly appeared from behind him and swiped at his back.

Qingfeng used Dragon Steps right away, and by forcing strength into the tip of his left foot, he turned 180 degrees, barely escaping the attack of the claw.

The claw had disappeared just as suddenly as it appeared, as Qingfeng didn’t see anything other than the turbulent wind caused by the attack.

Dark Night Emperor passed dimensional knowledge onto Qingfeng, and because of Qingfeng’s great understanding and learning abilities; it wasn’t long until he understood all there was to know about dimensions.

Qingfeng released his dimensional spiritual energy, and saw there was a black demonic monkey on the left of his dimension. This black demonic Monkey was as tall as a human, and was different from average monkeys as it was covered with pitch-black fur and had furious eyes.

This was no average demonic beast, but a powerful existence amongst all types of dimensional demonic beasts.

Qingfeng had already noticed this monkey, but it still jauntily thought that Qingfeng was clueless.

This monkey was as if teasing Qingfeng on purpose, as it jumped around in the space.

Swoosh!

The dimensional demonic monkey swung its sharp claws again and grabbed at Qingfeng’s right foot.

However, Qingfeng had already seen through its attack techniques. He lifted his right foot as fast as lightning, and just as the dimensional demonic monkey clawed towards him, he immediately stepped on its claws with his right foot. The monkey screamed in pain.

The monkey’s attack patterns had always been mysterious, but it had now been noticed by Qingfeng. This shocked it immensely.

Qingfeng’s right foot was the Strangle Hell Foot, and with that one step, it had torn off the dimensional demonic monkey’s claws.

The dimensional demonic monkey was especially decisive and vicious. When it saw that its claws had been broken and trapped under Qingfeng’s foot. It took out a blade with its other claw and directly sliced off his trapped hand.

There were warriors who cut off their wrists amongst humans, and amongst demonic beasts, there are beasts that were willing to sliced off its arm. These beasts were usually incredibly terrifying, and were usually the cruellest of the beasts.

A ray of furious light flashed through the dimensional demonic monkey’s eyes. It only had a claw with a blade, but it still charged towards Qingfeng’s heart. It had to pierce through this human’s heart, and kill this despicable human.

Qingfeng has already acquired dimensional knowledge, he saw the monkey’s blade, and with a snap of two fingers, it got ahold of the blade. With a “ka” sound, the blade broke into half and fell to the ground.

After Qingfeng broke the blade with his right hand, he pulled on the dimensional demonic monkey’s claw and threw it into another space.

“Let me go,” the dimensional demonic monkey pleaded.

Snap!

Qingfeng sneered, immediately snapping its neck and killing it.

He never succumbed to threats, not to mention if it was merely a dimensional demonic monkey.

 

Chapter 1049: Rescued His Father

“You’re so powerful Big Brother Li. You’ve managed to kill the dimensional demonic monkey,” Flower Fairy’s attractive face glowed with joy as her beautiful eyes shimmered in admiration.

Qingfeng pulled out the Red Fiery Sword and, releasing its sword energy, he drew an arc in the sky and stabbed it behind him. The dimensional crocodile had just left the dimension, and was preparing to attack Qingfeng when its body was penetrated by the long sword.

The Red Fiery Sword pierced through the dimensional crocodile’s heart, and tore a big hole into it.

The crocodile had died before it even launched its attack. It was too excited to kill Qingfeng that it was not careful and ran straight into the sword.

Yes, that’s right, suicide. This dimensional crocodile had crashed into the Red Fiery Sword by itself.

Those around were shocked, as this dimensional crocodile died too tragically.

The other demonic beasts hiding in the space around them that had witnessed this scene did not dare to attack Qingfeng anymore because they realized that this young man definitely understood the dimensional laws.

Without the blockades of dimensional demonic beasts, Qingfeng successfully arrived beside his father. Despite his father’s immense power, the top of his head was constrained by the golden talismen, and he couldn’t move at all.

The Conqueror nodded and patted Qingfeng’s back with his right hand. His eyes were filled with gratitude and pride to see his son so powerful.

Just then Dimension Guardian said, “Conqueror, you can’t stay on Earth, you have to leave immediately or the Sky Barren Saint that trapped you will come after you.”

“Father, you’re leaving?”Qingfeng said with confusion.

Qingfeng had just rescued his father, and wanted to bring his father back to Huaxia for his and Xue Lin’s wedding, but his father needed to leave immediately.

The Conqueror looked at Qingfeng, and said, “First I’ve to avoid the saint, if I stay it would only bring you trouble. Second, I have to go find your mother.”

Mother?

Qingfeng’s face blanked, he only remembered that his mother had left Huaxia when he was young, and they never met again.

“Father, where did mother go?” Qingfeng asked, he clearly still had deep sentiments for his mother.

The Conqueror looked at the void in the distance, and said softly, “She is in the Grand World of Phoenix, I have to find her.”

Grand World of Phoenix?

Qingfeng was deeply confused, as he had never heard of this grand world.

“There are hundreds of millions of stars in the universe, and they represent one hundred million planets. There are three thousand grand worlds, ten thousand medium worlds, and one hundred thousand small worlds. Each world is composed of countless planets, and even one small world can have a thousand dimensions.”

“One thousand dimensions represents a thousand planets. The dimensions sorted from low to high are: low-tier dimensions, intermediate dimensions, and superior dimensions. Low-tier dimensions have ten planets, and Earth is one of the ten planets within a low-tier dimension.”

“Three thousand grand worlds belong to the most powerful three thousand stars within the hundred million stars. They have eternal life and cannot be eradicated. From the chaotic birth of the universe, these three thousand stars have existed. It represents the three thousand grand Daos, each with a training path that can turn practitioners into saints or immortals.”

Everyone became sad when they heard the Conqueror’s story. They were excited by Earth’s glorious past, but sad when they heard of Earth’s desolation.

“Little Feng, I have to go now. I’ll wait for you out in the three thousand grand worlds,” said the Conqueror with a smile.

The Conqueror arrived at the intersection between spaces, and he stepped forwards with his right foot, being immediately transported to the Northern Barren Planet.

If one wanted to enter the three thousand grand worlds from an inferior dimension, one must go from one dimension to the next one in order. They must reach intermediate dimension, then into superior dimension, then into small world, medium world, and finally the grand world.

Qingfeng felt melancholic as he watched his father leave. He just saw his father, and before they even had time to share a meal, his father had already left Earth.

“Father, mother, wait for me. One day I’ll enter into the three thousand grand worlds, and make my name known across every star in the universe,” Qingfeng said as he looked into the dimensional intersection.

That was Qingfeng’s promise to his parents.

“Qingfeng you must leave now, the saint that trapped your father is nearly here,” said the Dimensional Guardian with a grim expression.

Qingfeng, himself, had felt the approach of a massive power in the universe.

He had very diligent senses; he felt the threat within the depth of the dimension. Even though it was fairly insignificant, it was still enough to raise the hairs all over him.

He didn’t dare to waste anytime, so he immediately gathered Wind-Edge Demon King, Flower Fairy, and the others to evacuate from the bottom of the Sky Breaking Cliff.

Not long after Qingfeng and the others had left, a massive eyeball projection appeared in the dimensional intersection.

This eyeball was massive, at least three hundred metres in diameter. Countless planets could be seen moving inside the depth of the eyeball, and in the time it turned around, it was complete chaos.

The saint morphed this eyeball; it represented the saint’s will, along with the will of the planet, condensed with horrific energy.

Under the powerful presence, the Dimension Guardian kneeled to the ground; his body trembled, as if his body and soul could collapse anytime.

“Oh glorious Sky Barren Saint,” the Dimension Guardian said with utmost respect, but with terror in his eyes.

He knew that the Sky Barren Saint was almighty, as he could kill him with one look.

The Sky Barren Saint’s eyes looked at the Dimension Guardian coldly and, without any emotion, it said, “How did the Celestial Conqueror Sect’s disciple, Conqueror escape?”

The Dimension Guardian’s face froze as he immediately said, “He broke the seal himself, and fled.”

The deep eye of Sky Barren Saint coldly inspected Dimension Guardian; it said nothing, as it only looked at him coldly for a very long time. Then, the eye disappeared from the dimension intersection.

“He finally left,” the Dimension Guardian said to himself, as he got up and wiped the cold sweat off his head that had already drenched his body and heart. His heart was still beating incessantly.

This Sky Barren Saint was far too powerful, with only a shadow of its eyeball, it terrified the Dimension Guardian without any will to fight back.

Qingfeng along with Wind-Edge Demon King, Flower Fairy and the others left the bottom of Sky-breaking Cliff and climbed up along the cliff walls.

Once they’ve arrived at the top of the cliff, Qingfeng suddenly thought of something, and asked, “Master, where’s the sword king, Wushuang Nie?”

The Wind-edge Demon King paused in confusion and said, “He disappeared at Sky-breaking Cliff after making an appearance.”

Disappeared?

Qingfeng was confused Wushuang Nie was the Sword King, a Earthly Spirit realm peak power! How could he disappear?

Qingfeng searched carefully at the top of Sky-breaking Cliff, when suddenly his eyes froze, and saw that there were strips of clothes not far ahead. Qingfeng clearly remembered it to be the Sword King’s clothes.

From the strips of clothes, Qingfeng felt great amounts of demonic beast energy. He realized that Wushuang Nie didn’t just disappear; a powerful demonic beast might have kidnapped him.

“Black puppy, smell this strip of fabric and lead us to Wushuang Nie,” Qingfeng frowned and said to Black Puppy.

Black Puppy was reluctant, but it still sniffed the strip and tracked the scent in the air while Qingfeng and the others followed closely behind.

Dog noses are exceptionally sensitive; Black Puppy followed the smell and brought the group to the ruins of Kunlun Palace.

Before them was a Palace in complete ruins, with torn apart trees, broken debris, and air that had a massive energy that made people feel depressed.

“Puppy, are you sure Uncle Nie is inside?” Qingfeng frowned as he asked.

Honestly, Qingfeng didn’t want to enter the ruins, because his instincts were telling him about the great dangers residing inside.

Black Puppy nodded, pointing its paws forward, and saying, “I promise Wushuang Nie is inside the ruins.”

Qingfeng had no other options; he waved his hand and said, “Come everyone, let’s go.”

The ruins were massive, and to the naked eye, it seemed endless.

In ancient times, it was a splendid palace called the Kunlun Palace. Despite how glorious it was in the past, it turned into a pile of ruins after a torturous battle.

After a few steps Qingfeng saw a skeleton pinned to the ground by a long spear.

The flesh and blood on the corpse had been sucked clean, but the corpse’s skeleton lied there completely unharmed, glowing like jade with an aura of shimmering light.

This man must have had great power when he was alive as even in death, his corpse still had astounding amounts of energy.

Qingfeng grew heavy with emotions, he even felt sad when he saw this skeleton.

As he continued forward, it wasn’t long until he saw several other white skeletons on the ground.

These skeletons’ blood and flesh were sucked clean as well, but it wasn’t like the first skeleton he saw.

Amongst these skeletons, there was one of about one metre long. Physically, it looked like a seven or eight year old child. The long spear had struck through its heart and pinned it to the ground.

Qingfeng felt overwhelming sorrow as he stood beside these skeletons, and he even heard the indistinctive wailing that came from these white skeletons.

 

Chapter 1051: Earth’s Tragic Past

The wailing from the skeletons was filled with catastrophe, despair, and helplessness, as if they were telling scenes of a great tragedy.

Qingfeng left these skeletons and continued onwards into the ruins.

Along the way, Qingfeng saw many skeletons lying scattered around the ruins. He could tell from the skeleton’s physical traits that it ranged from elders to middle-aged adults to women to children and so on.

These skeletons were all tragically pinned to the ground by long spears.

Not only did Qingfeng feel grief, even Wind-Edge Demon King, Flower Fairy, and the others beside him feel it too.

They all knew these were all living humans before, and they all were powerful self-cultivators, pinned into the ground with long spears.

After five thousand metres, Qingfeng arrived in front of a ruined palace, with a broken-down sign with ‘Kunlun Palace’ written on it.

Different from all other palaces, this was very big, about two times bigger than the other ones. The surrounding had all collapsed, but there were still nine pillars that stood firm, without any cracks or ruinage.

These nine pillars were all golden; its surface gleaming with gold, and on each pillar, there were lively dragons sculpted into it, as if they were about to tear through the void.

These nine golden pillars contained massive dragon energy and force, and it formed a golden defense barrier that barred all those from the outside from entering.

“This is an Ancient Dragon Array, the Nine Dragon Celestial Array. It blocks all from entering,” Black Puppy’s voice rang from the side.

Qingfeng’s expression changed after he heard Black Puppy. Naturally he had heard of the godly dragon arrays, as the myths claimed that only immortals could set such an array. Why would it be on Earth?

Qingfeng was shocked by the array, but also by Black Puppy’s background. It knew of the ancient immortal’s array, further confirming his suspicion that Black Puppy was indeed not simple.

Qingfeng didn’t react to Black Puppy’s words, as he carefully studied the Dragon Formation instead. He heard a voice inside calling out to him, trying to convince him to go in.

Qingfeng walked towards the inside of array, and as soon as he reached its barrier, his body was repelled by the defensive light array of the formation.

“Little brat, if you want to enter the Godly Dragon Formation, you have to activate the dragon blood inside of you. Drop a bit of blood onto it and ask for its permission.” The Fire Dragon’s crippled voice rang inside Qingfeng’s head with hints of sorrow.

This Fire Dragon was one of the Earth’s last surviving ancient godly dragons. It was severely wounded in the ancient battle, and had hid and kept itself alive inside the Nine Dragon Jade Seal.

Qingfeng did as the Fire Dragon told, activating his dragon blood inside and releasing the Dragon Spell as he bit on his finger. He dropped one drop of blood onto the Godly Dragon Formation.

Swoosh!

A beam of golden light flashed by, and Qingfeng’s body was immediately transported inside the Godly Dragon Array.

Black Puppy also bit its paw when it saw Qingfeng had entered, and it dripped one drop of dog blood onto the array and wanted to enter.

Bang!

At a loud bang sound, the Godly Dragon Array sent out a golden beam and repelled Black Puppy a few hundred metres away. It had no place for Black Puppy, and the puppy stood up with awkward rejection.

Wind-Edge Demon King, Flower Fairy, Xianzhi, and Daoist all cut their fingers, and dripped one drop of blood into the Godly Dragon Formation.

With two beams of golden light, Flower Fairy and Xianzhi were taken into the array, whereas Wind-Edge Demon King and Daoist were rejected out.

Daoist frowned and complained, “Dammit, why do Flower Fairy and Xianzhi get to enter, and I get rejected? This is sexism!”

Although the Daoist felt upset, he knew how powerful the Godly Dragon Formation was. Without its approval, there was no chance to enter.

Daoist shook its head, and appeared disappointed. Since they were rejected, they could only wait outside.

At the same time, Qingfeng was in the middle of the Godly Dragon Array.

From the outside, there were only nine Godly Dragon pillars, but the inside was completely different. It was a massive and extremely extravagant palace with golden bricks, glass tiles, jade floors, and crystal walls.

In the middle of the palace sat a massive Dragon Throne in gold, with lively dragons sculpted on it, each with great pride and power.

Of course, these were all an illusion caused by the array; it displayed all that existed before.

Not long after Qingfeng entered, Flower Fairy and Xianzhi appeared beside him, and caused him quite a shock.

“How did you two enter?” Qingfeng frowned as he asked the two.

Flow Fairy smiled attractively, and said, “We dropped our blood inside and got the Godly Dragon Formation’s approval.”

Qingfeng was shocked to hear this, the formation approved him because he had dragon blood inside of him, but how did the Flower Fairy and Xianzhi get in without dragon blood?

Boom!

A massive image of a galaxy appeared before the trio. There were countless dimensions revolving inside the galaxy as time turned backwards.

If one inspected closely, they would see that there were three thousand grand dimensions inside, one of them was of sky blue colour that looked like Earth. That was Earth back in ancient times.

“This is the image of Earth from thousands of years ago,” Qingfeng said with odd suspicion.

Suddenly, the ancient Earth released a beam of rainbow light, and a massive magical tower was conjured up, with “Heaven-Sealing Tower” written on it.

Not long after the Heaven-Sealing Tower appeared, with the blink of an eye, it disappeared from the centre of Earth. However amongst some of the three thousand most powerful stars, they saw the birth of this Heaven-Sealing Tower.

The Heaven-Sealing Tower was the utmost treasure born out of the chaotic galaxy. It had always been there since the creation of all. The legend had it that whoever acquires the Tower would be able to suppress all, and become the truly invincible Emperor.

The celestial emperors and immortals of one hundred planets attacked Earth with the most powerful disciples of their sects, forcing Earth to give up the Heaven-Sealing Tower. However, the Earth’s Sky Emperor disagreed and a great battle was unleashed.

This massive battle lasted for a thousand years. Although the saints and immortals on Earth were extremely powerful, the opponents won in numbers. With all the power, celestial emperors, immortals, and saints from those hundred stars, they totalled to over several billions.

Those from other dimensions were cruel beyond imagination. They massacred the self-cultivators on Earth, not even sparing the weak, young, elderly, or women.

Qingfeng saw a middle-aged armoured man charge at an eight-year-old girl with a long spear.

The little girl was terrified as she ran, such that even her shoes fell off. Just as the armoured man stabbed at the little girl with the spear, the girl’s grandfather blocked the spear with his own body, sacrificing himself.

Qingfeng’s eyes turned red, as all he could do was helplessly watch what had happened a long time ago, in anger.

 

Chapter 1052: Qingfeng’s Promise

The little girl screamed ‘Grandpa, grandpa!’ as she witnessed her grandpa’s sacrifice. She sounded incredibly tragic and helpless.

Splash!

The cruel armoured man then pierced the little girl’s heart onto the ground with his long spear, as the little girl hopelessly looked at the sky with tears in her eyes.

“Why, why, why do you want to kill me and grandpa?” asked the little girl with tears in a shaky voice.

“Because you’re all the descendants of the self-cultivators from Earth,” the armoured man replied with a cold-blooded cruel smile.

“Bastard, you won’t even let an eight year old girl go,” Qingfeng said angrily as tears ran down his face.

These self-cultivators from the other stars were absolute bastards. They massacred all the self-cultivators on Earth, from the elderly, to women and children.

Although these scenes had happened throughout Earth’s long history, Qingfeng trembled as if he experienced this first hand.

Not only did Qingfeng tremble, Flower Fairy and Xianzhi, who were beside him, also shook in anger.

However, this was only the beginning, as more brutality was to come.

One of the black-cloaked self-cultivators raised a newborn into the sky with his spear, and paraded it to the other self-cultivators.

As for the newborn’s mother, she was already brutally murdered by the evil self-cultivator from the other dimensions.

“These invaders are bastards! They wont even let an one year old baby live,” Qingfeng’s face grew pale, with his fists firm but his whole body trembling in anger.

The self-cultivators that invaded Earth were all supremely powerful. They had killed Earth’s Celestial Emperor, countless saints and immortals, and destroyed the Heavenly Court on Earth.

This great battle was called the Battle of Ruins. Earth was crippled, and the Heavenly Court was toppled and turned into a pile of ruins.

The powerful self-cultivators above the saint level were all killed, and the majority of Earth’s cultivation techniques, powerful spiritual devices, treasures, and immortal fruits were all ransacked.

Earth’s self-cultivation culture was lost, with over 99% of the self-cultivators being killed and only a few survivors being able to hide away in the corners of Earth, never to surface again.

With the lost of the self-cultivation culture and spirit essence on Earth, only low-tier vital essence was left. Without an environment to train in, Earth became a self-cultivator’s hell.

Over time, saints and immortals became the myths passed on between generations. People told it like they were fairy tales, and believed that they only existed in fiction.

From then, Earth had developed their civilization on a “cultivation-less” foundation. With thousands of years of progress, humans invented airplanes, trains, cars, ships, rockets, bombs, phones, computers, and had completely forgotten about Earth’s once glorious past.

Qingfeng, Flower Fairy, and Xianzhi all felt sad when they saw Earth’s past.

They had no clue that Earth had such past. It was once so powerful, but now it was weak and had been laid to ruins.

Earth might have advanced technology, but the Celestial Emperor, immortals, and saints have all became myths.

Qingfeng was furious when he realized that his ancestors had been killed and butchered.

Images of the universe disappeared, and the palace returned to normal. Qingfeng had just witnessed what happened on Earth in ancient times, but everything was so vivid in his memory as if he had personally experienced it.

“The three of you are all chosen ones, so here are three cultivation techniques: “Heavenly Immortal Chant”, “Lotus Immortal Chant”, and “Wind Immortal Chant” for the three of you,” said a weathered but simple voice that sounded in the palace. The source of the voice was nowhere to be seen.

Three energy light globes appeared in the sky, with one going into each of Qingfeng, Flower Fairy, and Xianzhi’s minds.

The three then kneeled down to carefully absorb the techniques. Qingfeng had obtained the powerful Heavenly Immortal Chant, which allowed the practitioner to reach the immortal level. Cultivation techniques were different from spells as the techniques turned the vital essence present within the Heavens and Earth into one’s own, whereas spells channeled vital essence from inside one’s body to attack.

There were ten levels to the Heavenly Immortal Chant, and every level had a training realm that corresponded. The first level was the True Spirit Realm, the second was the Earthly Spirit Realm, the third Heavenly Spirit Realm, and the fourth was the Spirit King Realm.

Qingfeng was at the initial stage of Heavenly Spirit Realm, and the technique that suited him best was the Heavenly Spirit Realm techniques. He found the relevant section in the Heavenly Immortal Chant, remembered it, and began practicing it.

Both of Qingfeng’s hands slightly lifted, forming a hand seal from the Heavenly Spirit Realm and his chest slightly lifted as he began to breath in the vital essence from the Heavens and Earth.

Large amounts of vital essence from the sky and Earth rushed into Qingfeng, and his body devoured it all like a whale swallowing water. It frantically sucked in all the vital essence around the space, allow his strength to quickly increase.

Qingfeng’s spirit nucleus was undergoing dramatic change, the once black core had a scratch before, but after massive amounts of vital essence was sucked in, two scratches appeared as he ascended into the intermediate stage of the Heavenly Spirit Realm.

After Qingfeng had reached the intermediate-stage of Heavenly Spirit Realm, the vital essence in the air continued to enter his body, forming massive amounts of vital essence that cracked a third scar onto his core.

Three scars were the symbol of later stage Heavenly Spirit Realm. Undeniably, the vital essence inside this room was too powerful and dense, as it didn’t take long for him to reach the late stage of the Heavenly Spirit Realm.

“This Heavenly Immortal Chant truly is powerful! No wonder it’s the cultivation technique that could turn practitioners into immortals.” Qingfeng sighed as he stood up.

He felt enormous power inside of his body, of about forty thousand kilos of force; he definitely could kill a late stage Heavenly Spirit Realm demonic beast with one punch now.

Along with Qingfeng, Flower Fairy and Xianzhi had all accomplished their trainings.

Flower Fairy had reached the early stage Heavenly Spirit Realm, and so did Xianzhi.

Flower Fairy trained in the Lotus Immortal Chant, and Xianzhi in the Wind Immortal Chant, these were all extremely powerful techniques that only immortals could acquire.

“Thank you ancestors for the cultivation techniques. What can I help you with?” Qingfeng asked as he bowed in respect.

The weak and elderly voice said, “You are Earth’s self-cultivators, I hope you’ll make a sworn oath that if you ever become a saint or immortal, you must avenge your ancestors, and kill the murderers from those one hundred stars.”

Qingfeng nodded, even if that voice didn’t insist, he was determined to kill them.

“I, Qingfeng, hereby solemnly swear, that if I ever become a saint or immortal, I will head to those hundred stars, and kill all those that have attacked and murdered those on Earth.” Qingfeng bit his tongue after the declaration, dripping one drop of blood into the space and disappearing.

Both Flower Fairy and Xianzhi sworn an oath as well. They were Earth’s self-cultivators, so naturally they had to avenge Earth’s ancestors.

 

Chapter 1053: Sky Devouring Snake

Qingfeng’s trio had acquired the Kunlun Palace’s secrets, but they all left in a melancholic mood.

They were saddened to see all of the Kunlun Palace in ruins as, after all, they were descendants of Earth.

When Qingfeng reappeared outside of the Palace, Black Puppy ran forward and asked, “What kind of treasures did you find inside?”

Bang!

Qingfeng kicked Black Puppy several meters away, obviously not in the mood for its antics.

Yes, Qingfeng did acquire treasures when he was in the Kunlun Palace, but the thought of the deceased ancestors of Earth made him extremely sad. He had great burden and responsibility, and at Black Puppy’s questions, he could only respond with force.

“Why did you hit me? I only asked a question,” said Black Puppy gloomily.

This time, Qingfeng didn’t hit it, but Flower Fairy did since she was closer to it.

Black Puppy rolled its eyes in pain, Flower Fairy was clearly upset as well, and this Black Puppy blabbed incessantly. It became a stress toy.

Black Puppy was very upset. It used to rule the immortal realm and everyone knew its name, but now that its powers had decreased, it became so easily bullied. Its dog heart became very depressed by such mistreatment.

Qingfeng and the others left the Kunlun Palace ruins and continued to search for Wushuang Nie.

On the other side of the ruins cliff, they found Wushuang. He lied on top of a rock on the lower part of the cliff, unconscious. Qingfeng then rushed forward to save him.

Swoosh!

A fierce sword energy shot through the cliff, its sword energy tore through the surroundings, and ripped open an endlessly deep crack on the ground before Qingfeng.

“This is the Sword Saint Ruins, no one is allowed in,” said a cold voice that rang through the sky.

Sword Saint Ruins?

Qingfeng’s expressions turned surprised, as he saw many of Earth’s once glorious sects and groups inside Kunlun Palace’s mysterious space.

The Sword Saint Sect was once one of Earth’s most powerful sects, and many sword saint powers were part of it. With one slash of their swords, a powerful bolt of sword energy would shoot out a hundred thousand miles.

However, the Sword Saints had died in the ancient battle on Earth, and the sect completely collapsed.

Qingfeng looked around. The ruins he stood on once inhabited the Sword Saint Sect and were not far from the Kunlun Palace, but it was now in scattered pieces.

“I’m here for Uncle Nie,” Qingfeng said as he pointed at the unconscious Wushuang.

The voice in the air paused, and then said, “Wushuang Nie is my chosen disciple, I can’t let you have him.”

Qingfeng froze when he heard the authoritative voice, and his expressions turned to joy.

He initially thought they planned to harm Wushuang Nie, but it turned out that they had their eyes on Wushuang’s talented swordsmanship and wanted him for a disciple.

Qingfeng bowed and said with respect, “Thank you elder for choosing Uncle Nie, I entrust him to you.”

Qingfeng looked at Wushuang Nie once more, and the group left the ruins. He didn’t want to stay there for too long because, for some odd reasons, he felt that here were great hidden dangers.

In fact, Qingfeng’s feelings were correct. There was an almighty demon trapped underneath Kunlun Palace by the Celestial Emperor a few thousands of years ago.

As the Celestial Emperor was killed in battle, the seal that trapped the ancient demon grew weaker day by day. He was already beginning to wake up, and small streams of demonic energy leaked out from beneath the earth, alerting Qingfeng.

If this almighty demon were to break free, it would bring great turbulent chaos to Earth.

“We should leave the forbidden Kunlun district now. My wife Xue Lin is still waiting for me, and so are Ruyan Liu and my baby.” Qingfeng looked at the ruins one last time, and left.

However, only after a few steps, a powerful demonic beast appeared before Qingfeng.

It was a demonic snake again… For some unknown reason, Qingfeng always encounters snake-like demonic beasts.

However, this one was different from others. It was only a metre long, black all over, and its eyes had rays of black light.

Although the snake was only a metre long, Black Puppy’s expressions changed and yelled, “Careful, it’s the Sky-Devouring Snake, it can swallow anything and everything.”

Sky-Devouring Snake?

Qingfeng’s expressions changed as well when he heard Black Puppy. He learned a lot about ancient history through the Heavenly Immortal Chant in the Kunlun Palace, including information on the ancient demonic beasts.

The Sky-Devouring Snake was an ancient demonic beast with great power. The legend claimed that in ancient times, it could even swallow even the sky. Imagine how overpowered this Sky-Devouring Snake must be to be able to do that!

“Ssssh puppy, how are you not dead?” the Sky-Devouring Snake spat out its tongue as it said to Black Puppy.

Clearly, the Sky-Devouring Snake and Black Puppy knew each other.

“Little snake, how can I die when you haven’t died yet,” Black Puppy smiled as it said coldly.

The Sky-Devouring Snake was angered when Black Puppy called him ‘little snake’, it roared, “I’m the Sky-Devouring Snake, with an actual length of one thousand metres, how dare you call me little?”

Black Puppy pouted its lips, and nonchalantly said, “That was before! Now you’re like a disabled grandpa from being beaten up, and are only a metre long. What do you want?”

The Sky-Devouring Snake’s eyes grew cold as it said, “I’ve sensed the devourer bloodline on this human, and I want to eat him.”

The snake wasn’t talking about anyone else but Qingfeng; his blood enticed its thirst.

Black Puppy coldly laughed, “Little snake, I would advise against that, you’re no match for him.”

“Little dog, you used to rule the immortal realm, and there wasn’t anything you couldn’t do. When did you turn into such a coward and become afraid of a human?” The Sky-Devouring Snake despised Black Puppy as it said with disapproval.

Both the Sky-Devouring Snake and Black Puppy were ancient demonic beasts; they experienced the legendary ancient war, and battled alongside saints and immortals. However their powers had been crippled, only managing to barely survive.

Naturally, the snake didn’t believe Black Puppy’s words. It moved like a streak of black lightning, opened its black mouth and charged at Qingfeng.

The Sky-Devouring Snake might have been fast, but Qingfeng was faster. He reached out with two right fingers, pinched the snake’s neck, and made it bite itself.

The Sky-Devouring Snake was shocked to see itself caught by Qingfeng. It didn’t think that this youth would be so fast, and be able to grab its neck so quick.

“Little snake, weren’t you so arrogant? Why are you in a human’s hand right now?” Black Puppy mocked as its head tilted to one side.

Both Black Puppy and the Sky-Devouring Snake were ancient demonic beasts, but they were naturally born enemies who despised each other. Black Puppy was quite happy to see the snake in such a vulnerable state.
