“Honey!” Xue Lin was overcame with emotion. “I thought I’d never see you again.”

Tears flowed from her eyes as she spoke. During the time Qingfeng Li was away, Xue Lin had missed him so much that she would dream about him every night. She had been so afraid that something might happen to him, and now that Qingfeng Li was standing in front of her, her heart was finally set at ease.

“Don’t worry, Honey,” Qingfeng Li said, reaching out to wipe away the tears on Xue Lin’s face. “I’m alright now.”

Black Puppy padded over, wagging his tail, and said, “I want tomato-egg noodles.”

Xue Lin jumped when she heard Black Puppy speak. She had seen it before, but she’d never heard it talk. How could a dog talk?

Black Puppy stood awkwardly; it knew that it had just blown its cover. With its eyes, Black Puppy urged Qingfeng Li to hurry up and explain the situation to Xue Lin.

Qingfeng Li rolled his eyes and said, “Baby, Black Puppy is a Godly beast; its very smart, and it has alway been able to talk, but it was afraid that it would scare you. That’s why it never spoken in front of you before.”

Xue Lin nodded. She had seen many things now, things that belonged to the World of Self-Cultivators.

During the past little while, Xue Lin had seen many strange self-cultivators; she had even seen the Vampire Knight. A talking dog seemed normal now that she had experienced all that.

“The house is a wreck,” Xue Lin furrowed her brow as she looked around at the crumbling building. “How do we make food? Should we go out to eat instead?”

Qingfeng Li’s battle with the Vampire Knight just now had destroyed the home. There was nothing left that wasn’t in bits and pieces.

Qingfeng Li nodded. “Let’s go to the Riverview Restaurant.”

With Xue Lin at his side, Qingfeng Li walked out of the estate, chatting with her as they walked. He also borrowed her cellphone and dialled Tianci Zhang’s number.

“Tianci Zhang, this is Qingfeng Li,” he said with a smile when the call went through. “The thirteenth mansion at Noble Palace is damaged. Get some people to come for repairs. Also, get me a table at the Riverview Restaurant, I’m going there for a meal.

 

Chapter 1375: Ruyan Liu Encounters a Devil

“Big Brother Feng, it’s been so long!” Tianci Zhang exclaimed over the phone. “You finally called me! I’ve missed you so much. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of the things you said right away.”

Not having received any calls from Qingfeng Li for so long, Tianci Zhang had been terrified, thinking that something had happened to him. It was only when he finally received the call from Qinfgeng Li today that he had been able to really relax.

Qingfeng Li led Xue Lin and the others out of the mansion. Just as they were about to go to the Riverview Restaurant, Sky-Devouring Snake slithered toward them. It reached out its tail and gave Qingfeng Li a slap.

Qingfeng Li furrowed his brow, displeasure evident in his eyes as he said. “Stinking snake, what’re you hitting me for? You looking for a beating?”

Sky-Devouring Snake didn’t reply. It lifted its tail again and landed another blow on Qingfeng Li.

“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” Qingfeng Li was a little ticked. “You think I wouldn’t hit you for real?”

Here he was taking these guys out for a meal out of the goodness of his heart, so what was this snake hitting him for?

What Qingfeng Li didn’t expect was for the Sky-Devouring Snake to swing its tail at him again, and then to turn and run right after the slap landed.

“Stop, stinking snake!” Qingfeng Li shouted as he chased after the Sky-Devouring Snake. “See what I’ll do to you when I catch you!”

Just as it reached an alleyway, Sky-Devouring Snake stopped.

“Stinking snake,” catching up, Qingfeng Li said. “Why’d you stop running? You really want me to teach you a lesson?”

“Give it a break already.” Sky-Devouring Snake rolled its eyes, looking at him with disdain as it opened its mouth. “Teach me a lesson? Did you forget that we came back to rescue the baby? But now you got the time to go eat with Xue Lin. And you’re asking me why I’m hitting you?”

“I was focused on getting back to save Xue Lin,” Qingfeng Li’s brows knitted together. “I can’t believe I forgot about the baby.”

“Now do you know why I hit you?” Sky-Devouring Snake said moodily. “I had to draw you away. If I said this in front of Xue Lin, she would get jealous again.”

“Well,” Qingfeng Li nodded. “Who’d have thought that you’d be so attentive, Snakey? You’ve helped me big time, I’ll remember to reward you next time.”

Thereafter, Qingfeng Li and Sky-Devouring Snake returned to Xue Lin.

“Honey,” Qingfeng Li said to Xue Lin, slightly apologetic. “There’s something I need to take care of. I’ll come to eat later, okay?”

“Sure thing, Honey,” Xue Lin nodded in understanding. “The Western World of Self-Cultivators are attacking the East. It’s bound to be danger everywhere. If you have to do something then go quickly.”

“Big Brother Li, I’ll skip on the meal,” Flower Fairy said to Qingfeng Li. “I need to hurry home and see if anything has happened at the Hundred-Flower Palace.”

Qingfeng Li nodded. “Alright. When you’ve reached the Hundred-Flower Palace, make sure to keep in contact with me. If anything happens, let me know immediately.”

Nodding, Flower Fairy waved her good-bye at Qingfeng Li and the others. She was the Saintess of the Hundred-Flower Palace and was worried that her own sect would be a target of the West’s attack.

Then, Xianzhi Qin spoke, as well. “Big Brother Li, I need to get back to Fiery Emperor Palace, too. I need to go see my father.”

Qingfeng Li nodded. “Then hurry up and go. If anything happens at the Fiery Emperor Palace, definitely let me know. I’ll go to your aid.”

Xianzhi Qin nodded thankfully, before quickly turning and departing.

Seeing the Flower Fairy and Xianzhi Qin leave, Qingfeng Li felt something within him depart with them.

Qingfeng Li left the Wolf Fang Team, Sky Fate Demon King, Ziyi Miao and the others behind, charging them to protect Xue Lin. He himself then headed toward the hospital with Black Puppy and Sky-Devouring Snake.

With Qingfeng Li’s exceptional speed, they quickly arrived at the hospital. When they arrived, however, Qingfeng Li’s expression changed. He saw that, in the sky above the hospital, there was a black cloud of devilish energy.

“Devilish self-cultivators are here,” Black Puppy said, its brows knitting together.

A hint of worry appeared in Qingfeng Li’s eyes.

“Let’s go inside,” he said firmly. “Once we encounter those of self cultivators of the Devilish Dao, do not hesitate. Kill them all.”

Taking the lead, Qingfeng Li walked briskly toward the hospital. At the entrance, they saw two devilish self cultivators, radiating devilish energy.

“Stop!” The devilish self cultivator on the left said to Qingfeng Li. He stood at a full two meters in height, emitting an fierce aura all over, “This hospital has been quarantined. No one is allowed to enter.”

Without a word, Qingfeng Li lifted his hand and swung it forward, smashing the man’s head with a single blow.

On the other side, the gaunt devilish self cultivator saw the display of Qingfeng Li’s strength and opened his mouth to scream.

Just then, Black Puppy leapt up from the ground. Flying through the air, it reached out with its claws and, with one swipe, tore the gaunt man’s throat out. The man’s body fell to the ground, lifeless.

“Hurry inside. Find Ruyan Liu and the baby.” There was worry in Qingfeng Li’s eyes as he sped in through the door with Black Puppy and Sky-Devouring Snake.

Just a dozen meters in, Qingfeng Li encountered four other Devilish self-cultivators from the West. The hospital was already under their control.

“Who are you guys?” The man in the lead said, his voice full of unbridled arrogance. “Who let you lot in?”

Without a word, Qingfeng Li charged toward them. He swung his hand toward the men, killing each with a single blow.

Stepping off the ground, Qingfeng Li shot forward in a flash of red lightning, dashing toward Ruyan Liu’s room like a whirlwind.

At this moment, within the room, Ruyan Liu, Jiaojiao Liu, the Cat of Fate and Niching Luo were gathered around the baby in a protective circle. They stared coldly at the men standing by the door.

“Who are you?” Ruyan Liu asked, glancing at one of the men who looked like he was in charge. “Why did you barge in here? What do you want?”

The boss in question stood at seven-and-a-half feet. There was a single horn grown from the top of his head and a third eye on his forehead.

This boss had three eyes! He was an extremely evil and powerful figure, the infamous Three-Eyed Fiend from the Western World of Self-Cultivators.

Black hairs grew from all over the Three-Eyed Fiend’s body. His canine teeth were extremely long and thin. His hands were like claws, rough and thin, the sharp black nails glinting with a chilling light.

“Hey sweetheart,” the Three-Eyed Field said coldly, staring at Ruyan Liu. “Your body is something special. I smell the scent of an evolved one. Why don’t you come with me?”

Ruyan Liu’s face fell. With rage burning in her eyes, she spoke icily. “Why should I leave with you? Who are you?”

The Three-Eyed Fiend gave what he thought was a disarming smile. But to Ruyan Liu and Jiaojiao Liu, the expression was downright hideous. Jiaojiao Liu was especially disgusted, her face turned pale as she backed away from the Fiend.

 

Chapter 1376: The Three-Eyed Fiend

The Three-Eyed Fiend and the dozen or so Devilish self-cultivators stared at Ruyan and Jiaojiao Liu, their eyes burning with greed.

The two girls before them were extremely pretty. They were very tempted by their beauty, each wanting the girls for themselves.

These Devils’ favorite things were money and women, especially beautiful women like these two.

A blond self-cultivator walked up beside the Three-Eyed Fiend.

“Lord Three-Eyes,” he solicited. “I’ll go grab the woman on the left for you.”

The blond self-cultivator wasn’t a Devil, but he was a practitioner of Devilish techniques. Devilish energy radiated from his body.

These were Self-Cultivators from the Western World. They had come to Eastern Sea City because they knew that this was Qingfeng Li’s home.

The Three-Eyed Fiend smirked.

“Then go,” he said, “bring Ruyan Liu here.”

The blond self-cultivator nodded and walked toward Ruyan Liu. ”

Miss Liu,” extending his black claw-hand, he reached for her, “let me protect you.”

Walking out from behind her, Niching Luo stood in front of Ruyan Liu.

She swung her right hand, forming a massive palm from her vital essence. At her command, the giant hand flew at the blond self-cultivator.

“Stuck-up idiot,” said the blond self-cultivator. Swinging his own right fist, he threw a punch at Niching Luo’s hand. The blow shattered the vital essence, sending her body flying back. She spat out a mouthful of blood, evidently badly wounded.

In one round, Niching Luo was defeated.

Ruyan Liu and Jiaojiao Liu were both caught by surprise. They knew that Niching Luo was the eldest daughter of the Luo Clan. She was a powerful figure, possessing a certain degree of fame even in the World of the Self-Cultivators. They would never have thought that she could not even withstand a single blow from her opponent.

These Western Self-Cultivators were too powerful.

“Hahaha, you trash from the East, you are no match for me at all. Beauty, why not just come with me?”

A look of glee appeared in the blond self-cultivator’s eyes. He swung his right hand again, preparing to grab Ruyan Liu’s arm.

Ruyan Liu’s expression fell. Just as she was unsure of what to do, the Cat of Fate leapt up from the ground. It swiped with its claws at the blond self-cultivator’s arm, leaving five claw marks on his skin.

“Damn black cat!” The blonde self-cultivator’s expression changed to one of anger. He was surprised a mere cat had wounded him. “You dare to claw me? You’ve got a death wish.”

The blond self-cultivator swung his fist toward the Cat of Fate.

The Cat of Fate swung its claws again, leaving a gash directly on the blond self-cultivator’s fist. The wound was so deep that bone showed through the bloody mess.

Swinging its tail, the Cat of Fate landed a slap on the blond self-cultivator’s body, sending him flying. He was sent into the wall, his body embedding itself in the concrete. He was badly wounded.

“I know who you are now,” the Three-Eyed Fiend’s pupils contracted. “You’re the Cat of Fate from the Western self cultivation world!”

“Clever,” the Cat of Fate lifted its head as it spoke. “You actually recognized me.”

The Three-Eyed Fiend’s forehead furrowed.

“Cat of Fate,” he said, “you are a Godly Beast from the Western World. Why are you helping the East’s self-cultivators.”

The Cat of Fate shook its head. “I belong to Qingfeng Li now. Of course I have to help him.”

“Fantastic, you stinking cat.” The Three-Eyed Fiend sneered, his eyes cold. He was displeased by the Cat of Fate. “You actually refuse to side with the Western World of Self-Cultivators. If that’s the case, don’t blame me if I don’t play nice.”

The Three-Eyed Fiend walked forward. His right fist swung out abruptly, morphing into a massive black fist. With overwhelming devilish energy, it flew at the Cat of Fate.

The Cat of Fate’s expression changed. Its body leapt up, and like a sharp sword, it struck at the black fist.

Boom!

The Cat of Fate’s body was sent flying, and it spat out a mouthful of blood.

The Three-Eyed Fiend’s blow was too powerful; the Cat of Fate couldn’t withstand it at all. It was no match for the Fiend.

Standing beside Ruyan Liu, there were a few other Eastern self-cultivators. They were stationed there by Qingfeng Li to protect Ruyan Liu.

The Eastern self-cultivators walked out, striking toward the Three-Eyed Fiend. However, with only a few casual blows, they were killed by the Three-Eyed Fiend.

“Sweetheart, you’d better come with me.” The Three Eyed Fiend looked at Ruyan Liu, his expression stern.

Of course, the Three-Eyed Fiend didn’t forget Jiaojiao Liu, who was standing to the side. He gazed toward Jiaojiao Liu with an expression of intensity. He was very fond of the pair of pretty sisters.

“You ugly monster.” a mocking voice rang out from behind. “You’re scaring the ladies.”

“Who’s mocking me? You got a death wish?” The Three-Eyed Fiend turned around, glaring behind him with rage burning in his eyes.

From outside, Qingfeng Li walked in. “You ugly thing from the Western World of Self-Cultivators,” he said, staring at the Three-Eyed Fiend. “You make me sick, really. And you actually want to lay your hands on such beauties?”

“Brat,” the Three-Eyed Fiend glared at Qingfeng Li, his expression frigid. “Who are you? You actually dare to mock me.”

Smiling, Qingfeng Li said, “I’m your daddy.”

The Three-Eyed Fiend’s eyes grew cold. He felt that Qingfeng Li was downright despicable. On top of calling himself his daddy, he also mocked him. He wasn’t being taken seriously at all.

Completely ignoring the Three-Eyed Fiend, Qingfeng Li quickly approached Ruyan Liu.

“Ruyan,” he said, “are you alright? Did this ugly thing hurt you?”

Ruyan Liu shook her head. “No,” she said. “But Niching Luo and the Cat of Fate are hurt.”

Qingfeng Li nodded. “Don’t worry,” he said. “I’ll go help them recover in a minute.”

Seeing the exchange between Qingfeng Li and Ruyan Liu, the Three-Eyed Fiend felt humiliated. They were actually ignoring him.

“What are you lot doing standing around?” The Three-Eyed Fiend turned to the dozen or so Western self-cultivators and said. “Go kill him.”

The self-cultivators behind him gave a collective roar as they swung their fists toward Qingfeng Li.

Qingfeng Li smirked. Drawing his Fire Emperor Sword, he drew an arc before him, slicing a bloody hole in the self-cultivators’ necks and killing them all.

Thump, thump, thump…

A dozen or so bodies hit the ground, lifeless. The Western self-cultivators were all dead.

The Three-Eyed Fiend’s face fell. He had never have thought that his subordinates would all be slain by Qingfeng Li in the blink of an eye. His foe’s strength was formidable.

“Who are you? Tell me your name,” the Three-Eyed Fiend said, eyes on Qingfeng Li.

“I just told you,” Qingfeng Li smirked. “I’m your daddy, Qingfeng Li.”

Hearing Qingfeng Li’s words, the Three-Eyed Fiend’s expression turned to one of rage. He was like a volcano, ready to erupt at any moment.

 

Chapter 1377: Killing the Three-Eyed Fiend

The Three-Eyed Fiend had come to the Eastern Sea City today specifically for the purpose of finding Qingfeng Li. Yet, he didn’t think he would see Qingfeng Li here of all places.

“Qingfeng Li,” the Three-Eyed Fiend said, staring at Qingfeng Li with murderous intent boiling in his eyes. “You killed my friend, Augustine, over in the Tiger Continent. Today, I’m going to kill you.”

The Three-Eyed Fiend walked toward Qingfeng Li. With each step, a large hole appeared on the ground. It looked like the floor was about to collapse under his footsteps.

The Three-Eyed Fiend stopped before Qingfeng Li, leaving very little room between them. He intended to kill him.

A flash of cold light danced across Qingfeng Li’s eyes. This damnable Three-Eyed Fiend, he actually intended to fight in the hospital room.

Beside Qingfeng Li were Ruyan Liu and Jiaojiao Liu, as well as the baby.

Qingfeng Li knew that he had to kill the Three-Eyed Fiend in one strike. There was no room for error. Once they both began attacking, the energy would blow outward in all directions, injuring the baby and the people standing around them.

“Three-Eyed Fiend,” Qingfeng Li said, staring at the Three-Eyed Fiend with a murderous expression. “Since you have a death wish, I’m going to grant it for you. Today, I’m going to kill you in one strike.”

“Kill me in one strike?” The Three-Eyed Fiend mocked. “Qingfeng Li, are you sure you aren’t dreaming? Do you have what it takes?”

Before coming to the East, the Sky God Emissary had told the Three-Eyed Fiend that Qingfeng Li was very strong, but the Three-Eyed fiend hadn’t taken the warning seriously. He was an emperor among fiends, a Fourth Level Spirit Emperor Realm master. His own strength was formidable, and there was no way he would be afraid of Qingfeng.

Qingfeng Li smirked; killing intent rising from his eyes. To kill the Three-Eyed Fiend standing before him, he knew he couldn’t rely on his sword or his fists or any other attack. He would have to use the Golden Flames; he couldn’t risk giving the Three-Eyed Fiend an opportunity to escape or retaliate.

Qingfeng Li called forth his Golden Flames. The flames appeared directly over his hands, dancing from his fingertips.

“Three-Eyed Fiend, you can go die now.” Qingfeng Li extended his right index finger. The Golden Flames flew forth like lightning, drawing a burning arc in the air. Like a volcanic eruption, the flames shot upon the Three-Eyed Fiend in an instant.

At first, there was still a hint of a smile on the Three-Eyed Fiend’s face. Thinking that these were merely ordinary flames, he was entirely unafraid.

But once the Golden Flames had fallen upon his body and had begun to burn, the Three-Eyed Fiend’s expression changed. He felt a stinging pain, but when he reached out a hand to brush the flames off, he found that he could not remove them.

The Three-Eyed Fiend let out an agonizing scream as the Golden Flames set his body ablaze. The pain was excruciating. The flames incinerated his feet, hands, skin, flesh, tendon and bone, burning everything on his body

The Three-Eyed Fiend’s shrieks grew weaker and weaker until, finally, they disappeared altogether. His body was reduced to a pile of ashes.

Watching this scene unfold, every face in the room wore an expression of shock. This was especially true for Niching Luo and Cat of Fate, whose eyes widened with disbelief.

Niching Luo and Cat of Fate had just been defeated by the Three-Eyed Fiend. They naturally knew how powerful the opponent was. To them, the fiend was virtually invincible, someone who could kill them with one blow.

But before Qingfeng Li, it was the Three-Eyed Fiend that was slain in one blow. Like a grain of sand, he didn’t even have a chance to retaliate.

The two of them were even tempted to believe that this Three-Eyed Fiend was a fake. The events they had witnessed, however, reminded them that it was all real.

“Qingfeng,” Ruyan’s eyes showed a mix of emotions. “You’ve grown stronger again.”

Beside her, Jiaojiao Liu chimed in as well. “Brother-in-law, you’re amazing! You killed that ugly thing in one blow.”

Qingfeng Li smiled. “Quick, let me see the baby,” he said.

Ruyan Liu nodded as she quickly pulled Qingfeng Li to the baby’s side.

As he watched the unconscious baby, Qingfeng Li’s furrowed slightly. He felt a terrible ache in his heart.

Upon the hospital bed lay the baby, and black talisman scripts flickered all over its head. These were Heavenly Dao Seal Scriptures. Having studied seal scriptures before, Qingfeng Li naturally knew that these were a form of advanced scriptures from the Ancient Continents, Saint tier talisman scripts.

Of course, these were not Saints who orignated on Earth, but Saints from Extraterrestrial Planets who had died on Earth. Their souls are in the process of reincarnating and wanted to seize this baby’s soul.

Black Puppy, Sky-Devouring Snake, and the Cat of Fate all stood beside Qingfeng Li. These three were all Godly Beasts, each having godlike powers, and they naturally saw the baby’s abnormal state.

Qingfeng Li turned to Black Puppy.

“Puppy,” he said. “How do we use the Saint-Perishing Fruit to kill the Saint’s soul fragment within the baby’s mind?”

“We need to refine the Saint-Perishing Fruit,” said Black Puppy. “Extract the juice within the fruit and feed it to the baby. Then use your Black-White Millstone to dissolve the Saint’s Soul.”

Qingfeng Li nodded. He knew that, despite being long dead, the Saint’s Soul was still very powerful. Qingfeng Li was only at the half step Spirit Emperor Realm at the moment and was no match for the Saint’s Soul.

However, within Qingfeng Li’s mind, there was the Black-White Millstone. It was a millstone of chaos, born from the Chaos of the Universe itself. He also had the Soul of the Fire Dragon and the Soul of Dark Night Emperor. Qingfeng Li was not afraid of the Saint’s Soul; as long as he could find a way to force the soul out, he could destroy it.

With a thought, Qingfeng Li retrieved the Saint-Perishing Fruit from his interspatial ring. He channeled his vital essence, trying to refine the Saint-Perishing Fruit. However, he found that he was completely unable to do so with the power of his vital essence.

“Little brat,” the Fire Dragon Soul spoke within Qingfeng Li’s mind. “The Saint-Perishing Fruit is a fruit that can kill a Saint. It’s extremely valuable. If you want to refine it, you’d have to have the spirit energy of a Saint.

Qingfeng Li’s brows furrowed. “Senior,” he said. “My spirit energy is only at the Emperor level, it’s nowhere near the level of a Saint. What do I do?”

“It’s simple,” the Fire Dragon’s soul said. “I’ll help you, and you can tell Dark Night Emperor to come out and help, too. Add that to the Black-White Millstone, and we will be able to refine the Saint-Perishing Fruit.”

“Thank you, Senior,” Qingfeng Li said to the Fire Dragon Soul with heartfelt gratitude.

The other was helping him, and Qingfeng Li knew that it would definitely drain the Fire Dragon’s own spirit energy.

Qingfeng Li swore to himself the, when he gets more powerful, he would be sure to find more heavenly materials and earthly treasures to help the Fire Dragon Soul and Dark Night Emperor recover their bodies.

“Puppy, Sky-Devouring Snake, Kitty,” said Qingfeng Li. “You guys stay here and protect Ruyan Liu and the baby. I’ll go next door to refine the Saint-Perishing Fruit.”

With that, Qingfeng Li turned and left, heading to the room next door.

Qingfeng Li knew that refining the Saint-Perishing Fruit would cause quite the commotion. He didn’t want Ruyan Liu and the others see this, nor did he want them to worry.

After all, he had the Fire Dragon Soul in his mind, along with the Black-White Millstone. These things were too far out of the ordinary and Qingfeng Li was afraid that they’d find it hard to take in.

Of course, there was another cause for Qingfeng Li’s concern. He was afraid that when he refined the Saint-Perishing Fruit, the energies involved would ripple outward and cause them bodily harm.
