Chapter 1633: Rejecting the Martial Alliance
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
Qingfeng Li stared at the stocky man before him, lost in thought. He was considering whether he should join the Martial Alliance.
The Martial Alliance was a powerful organization and its influence spanned over the entire Crimson Fire Continent, with branches in the Imperial Cities of every country, but Qingfeng Li had his own considerations. He knew that, once he joined the Martial Alliance, he would be subject to their control and limitations. There were many stipulations that self-cultivators must obey once within the organization or they will incur punishment from the Martial Alliance.
Beside Qingfeng Li, Black Puppy and Li Yang were quiet; they were both individuals who had ascended to the Crimson Fire Continent from lower-tier planets. As they were unfamiliar with this continent, they could not provide any meaningful suggestions. Qingfeng Li had to make this decision by himself.
After a moment of silence, Qingfeng Li spoke, “Sorry, I don’t plan on joining any organizations for the time being.”
Hearing his words, the stocky man paused in surprise, a hint of disbelief flashing across his eyes. He was the Vice-Commander of the Martial Alliance’s Lingyun Imperial City Branch and held a lot of power.
Besides, the Martial Alliance was renowned across the entire continent. Their Commander-in-Chief, a powerful master of the Spirit Royal Realm, had once battled with the Crimson Fire Emperor over the control of the planet. That was how powerful he was.
Across the entire Crimson Fire Continent, people saw joining the Martial Alliance as something to be proud of; it was their badge of honor.
This was the first time that the he had ever seen someone refusing to join the Martial Alliance. For a moment, the stocky man stared at Qingfeng Li with a strange expression. He couldn’t understand what Qingfeng Li was thinking; this was such a great opportunity. Why did he refuse? Perhaps he did not know the benefits of doing so?
The stocky man looked at Qingfeng Li. “You may not know the perks of joining the Martial Alliance,” he said. “I can explain it for you. Once you become a member of the Martial Alliance, you can enjoy many benefits. You need only to make significant contributions to the Alliance in order to receive credit points. You can use these to exchange techniques, spiritual treasures, talismans, among other things. Even Supreme and Monarch Class techniques can be obtained through these credits.”
The middle-aged man stared at Qingfeng Li, his expression filled with pride. He knew that a self-cultivator’s greatest dream was to reach the Spirit Royal and Spirit Imperial Realms.
The Martial Alliance possessed such Supreme Class techniques, and many self-cultivators joined the Martial Alliance specifically in order to obtain them. He was confident that Qingfeng Li would not be able to resist the temptation.
But, in the next moment, the middle-aged man froze in shock. He saw Qingfeng Li shake his head again, saying, “I don’t plan on joining any organizations right now.”
With that, Qingfeng Li led Black Puppy and Li Yang away from the Phoenix Palace and walked into the distance.
“What an interesting guy.” The middle-aged man mused as he watched Qingfeng Li’s retreating form, a hint of surprise in his eyes.
The bulky man was a master of the Supreme Realm, First Level, but he had not mastered any Monarch Class techniques. It was for these techniques that he had joined the Martial Alliance himself.
Even the bulky middle-aged man himself could not resist the temptation of Monarch Class techniques. How was it that a young man, at the Spirit Emperor Realm Eighth Level, could?
The bulky man did not know that Qingfeng Li had practiced Immortal Class techniques. Whether it was the Heavenly Immortal Chant or the Mortal Purgatory Body, or even the Golden Flames, they were all Immortal Class techniques from the Ancient Era.
These Immortal Class techniques were far more powerful than the Monarch Class techniques the Martial Alliance offered. Naturally, Qingfeng Li wasn’t interested.
Blinking her slender eyes, Li Yang gazed at Qingfeng Li. “Big Brother Li,” she asked, “Where are we going now?”
Qingfeng Li thought for a moment, then said, “Let’s find an inn to stay at first.”
The inns in the Imperial City were exceptionally lavish, each one designed to be luxurious to the extreme. The exteriors were made of veluriyam, and the exteriors were paved in crystal; it made an extremely beautiful sight.
Qingfeng Li chose the biggest inn, called the Spirit Bamboo Inn.
The exteriors of the Spirit Bamboo Inn were also made from veluriyam, except this veluriyam was not white, but green. Amongst the green stone were segments of green bamboo. These were all shafts of Spirit Bamboo, extremely beautiful and exuding a spiritual aura.
What caused Qingfeng Li to choose this particular inn was its spiritual air and the serene environment within.
Qingfeng Li led Li Yang and Black Puppy inside. Just as they reached the door, they were stopped by an attendant.
The attendant was a woman with beautiful, pleasing features. She was tall and wore a qipao. This qipao, however, was no ordinary piece of clothing, but rather a spiritual garment. It had seal scriptures woven into the fabric, which glowed a faint golden light.
“Sir,” the tall woman said to Qingfeng Li, “what type of room would you like?”
Qingfeng Li smiled. “Tell me about the rooms in this inn.”
Nodding, the tall woman spoke again. “Of course. Our inn has three types of rooms. High-class rooms are five vitality stones per night. Mid-class rooms are three vitality stones a night. And lower-class rooms are one vitality stone a night.”
Qingfeng Li checked in the interspatial ring that Qingqing Mu had given him; he had one hundred vitality stones left.
Qingfeng Li knew that these vitality stones were accumulated by the Mu Family over several decades, yet Qingqing Mu had given it all to him. He was rather touched by the thought.
Qingfeng Li took out ten vitality stones and tossed them to the tall woman beside him. “Get me two high-class rooms,” he said.
Reaching out a snow-white hand, the tall woman caught the vitality stones and, after checking them for counterfeits, led Qingfeng Li upstairs.
Walking on the stairs, Qingfeng Li discovered that these steps were all paved with transparent crystals. They were extremely pretty. Crystal seal scriptures were carved into the surface, glittering with a white light.
Qingfeng Li got one room for Li Yang, while he stayed in the other with Black Puppy.
The furnishings in the Spirit Bamboo Inn’s high-class rooms were opulent. Even the mirrors were crafted from bright green spirit bamboo. They exuded wisps of spirit energy. When one took a breath, they could feel the energy opening up their pores.
Inside, the seating, tables, tea-ware, and beds were all made from spirit bamboo as well and exuded the same spirit energy.
Qingfeng Li spoke to Black Puppy beside him, “Before, in the Phoenix Palace, were you sure that the Third Princess was Mengyao Xu?”
Black Puppy blinked its eyes, its black tail wagging back and forth behind him. It said, “I felt that the scent Third Princess gave off was the same as that of Mengyao Xu. But she later used some technique to cover it up, and I couldn’t smell it after that.”
Qingfeng Li nodded, but the questions in his mind continued to pile up. He had a special feeling for the Mengyao Xu he had known on Earth.
On Earth, he had been trying to find Mengyao Xu the whole time. But in the end, he found nothing. He would never have thought that he would find her on the Crimson Fire Continent, on a Top-Tier Planet.

Chapter 1634: Widespread Recognition
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
While Qingfeng was speaking with Black Puppy in their room, deep within the Imperial Palace, in the Palace of the Crown Prince, a young man of about twenty years of age lay resting on a cushioned jade bed.
He was covered in a swan-down duvet, made entirely from natural feathers, that glowed with a soft radiance. The bed below was constructed entirely from high-quality white jade; it nourished the bodies of those who slept on it. The wisps of spirit energy the bed emitted were beneficial for the progression of self-cultivators.
This young man was very handsome. His skin was pale as snow, like that of a woman. His hair was long, his brows thin, but his thin lips made gave him a brooding air.
The man wore a robe with a python pattern. The python it depicted was in fact a Four-Clawed Python-Dragon, indicating him as someone of importance. This was the Crown Prince of Lingyun, first in line for the seat of Emperor.
Not far from him, there stood an average-looking guard dressed in black. He was one of the Crown Prince’s eyes within the Imperial City, in charge of the collection of information and news.
The guard in black knelt on the ground. “Reporting to Your Highness, the Crown Prince.” his voice was humble, reverent. “The Third Princess had just met with a young man in the Phoenix Palace. Subsequently, the son of King Ning, the young prince, went to challenge the young man and was defeated in one blow.”
The Crown Prince smiled faintly, not paying the matter too much attention. Then he spoke, “The young prince spends all day in merrymaking. It is quite normal that someone who doesn’t endeavor to better himself would be defeated.”
The guard in black continued, “Crown Prince, the young man in question is no simple character. His physical power was astonishing. Not only did he defeat the young prince, he had also withstood one strike from the Supreme Realm First Level Master, Profound Theory Cultivator.”
The Crown Prince’s expression shifted. He sat up, a cold glint in his eyes.
He knew that, if someone wanted to confront power of the First Level of the Supreme Realm with their physical strength, the cost of doing so would be great. This young man’s power and combat ability must be terrifying.
The Crown Prince then asked the black-clad man about Qingfeng Li in detail. He finally arrived at the conclusion that Qingfeng Li’s combat prowess was extremely strong.
The Crown Prince thought for a moment, then spoke to the guard in black. “Find Qingfeng Li,” he said. “Then, have him come to the Palace of the Crown Prince. Tell him that I wish to meet with him.”
The guard in black nodded, then turned and left the Palace of the Crown Prince, heading elsewhere.
In the palace of the Second Prince of Lingyun, there was an old man. He was also recounting the events at the Phoenix Palace to the Second Prince.
The Second Prince was also a handsome young man, but he radiated brightness and vigor, without the Crown Prince’s gloom.
When the old man finished his report, the Second Prince stood up without hesitation and walked toward the door.
The old man furrowed his brows. “Second Prince,” he asked, “where are you going?”
The Second Prince smiled. “I’m going to go meet this Qingfeng Li. Someone who could defeat the young prince must be interesting.”
“Second Prince,” the old man said. “Let me go summon Qingfeng Li. Have him come here, you need not go personally.”
But the Second Prince shook his head; he wanted to go see Qingfeng Li himself. This way, he could express his sincerity. He had a great appreciation for the strong and the gifted.
Qingfeng Li did not know that, because of what happened at the Phoenix Palace, he had already attracted the attention of both the Crown Prince and the Second Prince of Lingyun.
Right now, Qingfeng Li was discussing with Black Puppy about how he could see the Third Princess again. There came a knock at the door.
Qingfeng Li frowned. Walking to the door, he reached out and opened it. He saw a black-clad guard standing outside.
The guard was of average build. But his eyes shone brightly, exuding a fierce energy, making him a frightening sight to behold.
Qingfeng Li glanced at the guard, a tad surprised. He saw that this guard was actually a master of the Ninth Level Spirit Emperor Realm, just a hair short of the Supreme Realm. His power was even one level above Qingfeng Li.
Of course, if they were to do battle, Qingfeng Li would certainly be able to defeat this guard with ease.
Qingfeng Li smiled. “May I ask who you’re looking for?”
The guard in black frowned. “Follow me to the Palace of the Crown Prince,” he said haughtily. “The Crown Prince summons you.”
Seeing the guard’s arrogant expression, Qingfeng Li visibly displeased. He simply replied, “I don’t have the time.”
Not paying him any mind, Qingfeng Li closed the door in his face.
He had no interest in the so-called Crown Prince. He knew that, like the Martial Alliance from earlier, they must be here to cajole him.
Qingfeng Li did not intend to join any organizations just yet, not even if it was the Crown Prince who had invited him. He did not want to get involved because he would leave this country sooner or later. He needed to find Xue Lin and Ruyan Liu.
There were a lot of people in the inn. Seeing the scene unfold, the muttered amongst themselves, shocked.
“Who was that man just now? How important must he be to have the Crown Prince’s guard personally invite him to the Palace of the Crown Prince.”
“Didn’t you see? That man just refused the Crown Prince’s summons. And he closed the door right in that guard’s face!”
“This young man has quite the attitude. He has to be the toughest young man I’ve ever seen.”
The surrounding self-cultivators murmured in discussion, pointing here and there. Their eyes were brimming with curiosity.
Hearing the discussion of the crowd, a flicker of fury flashed through the eyes of the black-clad guard standing outside the door. He was a guard of the Crown Prince, respected by many. Wherever he went, people always met him with a smile.
He had just said that this was an invitation from the Crown Prince, the future Emperor of the Country of Lingyun. Unfortunately, this young man seemed to have no respect for them.
The black-clad guard raised his right hand and slammed repeatedly at the door, making a string of banging sounds.
Qingfeng Li originally didn’t intend to pay the black-clad man outside any more mind. But he kept on banging on the door, making a terrible racket. Qingfeng Li was displeased.
Qingfeng Li looked to his side, saying, “Puppy. Go teach this guy a lesson. He’s too freaking loud.”
Black Puppy nodded. Wagging its black tail, it came to the door and reached out a paw, opening the door.
“Shoo!” Black Puppy said to the black-clad guard outside the door.
The servant’s expression darkened, his nose wrinkled up in a snarl. He hadn’t expected that this black dog was shooing him away. This was blatant disrespect.
The black-clad servant’s face filled with rage. He raised his right hand, forming a fist from vital essence and striking toward Black Puppy’s head, intending to smash its head in.
Black Puppy rolled its eyes, staring at the man with disdain. Then, using its demon essence, it threw its right front paw forward in a clawing motion, striking straight at the black-clad man’s vital essence fist.
With a loud crack, Black Puppy had clawed the vital essence fist to shreds.

Chapter 1635: A Cocky Puppy
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
After Black Puppy tore apart the black-clad servant’s vital essence fist, it clawed forward again without a shred of hesitation. Its claw landed directly on the black-clad servant’s chest, leaving five bloody gashes across his torso. Blood spilled to the ground.
Black Puppy’s back paw kicked at the ground and, springing up into the air, it kicked at the black-clad guard. The man was sent flying down the stairs in a tumbling mess.
Seeing this unfold, everyone in the inn was overcome with shock, their eyes filling with disbelief.
They couldn’t understand why this black dog was so cocky. It even dared to attack the Crown Prince’s personal guard. Did it have a death wish?
The black-clad guard crawled up from the ground. His face was like a volcano, filled with flames of rage.
He was the personal guard of the Crown Prince of the Country of Lingyun. He was famous throughout the Imperial City and most people treated him with great respect. But now, he was sent flying by a dog. This was a slap in the face to the Crown Prince.
The black-clad guard glowered at Black Puppy.
“Damn mutt,” he hissed. “I’m going to skin you alive!”
Black Puppy raised a paw and, pointing at the guard in black, spoke in a cocky tone. “Dumbass idiot, come and let your Daddy Doggy slap you to death!”
Enraged by Black Puppy’s cheekiness, the black-clad guard drew out a large black blade. Utilizing the vital essence within him, he formed a beam of fierce blade energy and cleaved toward Black Puppy before him.
Black Puppy didn’t care at all as its body sprang forward. Taking to the air, it raised a right paw in front of him and caught the black blade energy. Clenching down on the beam, it clawed the blade energy to shreds.
Seeing this, the crowd was shocked. They would had never in a million years imagine that a dog would be so powerful. It caught the blade energy attack with its physical power alone. It was unbelievable!
Black Puppy moved quickly, and like a flash of black lightning, it appeared in front of the black-clad guard instantly. Raising its paw, it slapped toward his right cheek.
Pa!
With a loud slap, a dog-paw print appeared on the black-clad servant’s right cheek. The print was extremely clear, and it made the man look extremely silly.
The black-clad guard was stunned by the blow. He was always the one disciplining others, no one had ever dared to do the same to him. To add insult to injury, it was a dog who had hit him.
The black-clad guard let out an infuriated howl as he drew on his vital essence again and swung his right fist at Black Puppy.
Black Puppy swung its paw once again and landed slap after slap on the black-clad servant’s face, leaving his entire face swollen and bruised.
The black-clad guard shrieked, his entire face a red mess, swollen up to the height of a steamed bun. He looked positively pathetic, his hair un-tied, he fell down the stairs and rolled to a stop outside the inn.
Black Puppy glanced at the black-clad guard and cussed, “Garbage.”
Then, wagging his tail, Black Puppy pattered back to Qingfeng Li’s room.
The black-clad guard glowered in the direction of where Black Puppy disappeared, eyes filled with hatred.
“Just you wait,” he growled. “I won’t let you get away with this!”
The black-clad guard turned and left, he needed to get some backup and teach this black dog a lesson, along with Qingfeng Li. He will teach them the consequences of crossing him.
The black-clad man was a guard of the Crown Prince. He had a lot of influence. He directly mobilized the Imperial City’s Imperial Guards and had them surround the inn.
Having taught the black-clad guard a lesson, Black Puppy returned to their room. He was chatting with Qingfeng Li; the two of them were trying to decide what to do next, when they heard a loud noise coming from outside.
A moment later, the owner of the inn walked in. The owner was a pudgy forty-something man, with a massive beer belly. It was evident that he drank and ate well.
At this moment, the pudgy middle-aged man was soaked in sweat. His face was pale, like he was frightened by something.
Qingfeng Li stared at the pudgy owner. “What are you doing here?”
“Uncle… no Grandpa,” the pudgy owner stuttered in dispair. “You just told this dog to attack the Crown Prince’s guard. Now he’s got the Imperial Guard surrounding the inn. If you don’t go outside, they’re going to destroy the building!”
Qingfeng Li smiled.
“Fine,” he said, “I’ll go take a look outside.”
Qingfeng led Black Puppy outside. He knew that, if he refused to go outside, the Crown Prince’s guard would never let it rest. He still needed this inn to sleep in. Of course, he wasn’t about to let the black-clad guard destroy the building.
When Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy exited the inn, they found that the streets outside had been surrounded by more than a hundred black-clad guards.
These black guards either held bows or spears; they exuded a fierce energy. They were setting a powerful array formation.
Their leader was the Vice-Captain of the Imperial City’s Imperial Guard. He was a tall man with stoic features, and he stood with his back straight, his gaze intense as he exuded a piercing energy from all over his body.
Qingfeng Li frowned, a tad surprised. He hadn’t expected these guards to know array formations. Using the theory of arrays to position their troops, their attack power would be multiplied. And it looked like the array formation they were using was not half bad.
The black-clad guard stood at the very front, his face still puffy. The dog-paw print was still clearly visible on his cheek. He glared at Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy in rage, eyes positively spitting fire.
The black-clad guard wave a hand and said to the people behind him. “You all, go! Seize this man and Black Puppy.”
Hearing this, the hundred or so Imperial Guards raised their bows and spears. They approached Qingfeng Li imposingly.
“Stop! Who told you to surround this inn?” Suddenly, a clear voice rang out.
Hearing this voice, the guards all stopped. They put down their weapons and turned around. They saw a young man walking up from behind them.
This man was twenty-two years old. He was handsome, his figure tall. He wore a golden python-patterned robe and exuded a sunny aura.
“All hail the Second Prince,” the leading guard spoke in reverence, kneeling with one knee on the ground.
This young man was non-other than the renowned Second Prince of the Country of Lingyun. People called him a genius; he had provided many constructive suggestions for operating the country and was therefore loved and held in high regard by the Emperor. He was famous across the Imperial City.
The Second Prince frowned as he spoke to the leader of the guards. “You are the Imperial Guard of the Imperial City. Your duty is to protect the Imperial City. What are you doing here, ambushing this inn and this young man?”

Chapter 1636: The Second Prince’s Treat
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
The Second Prince’s questioning had made the Captain of the Imperial City Imperial Guards feel awkward as he did not know how to provide an appropriate answer.
Strictly speaking, the Imperial City Imperial Guards answered solely to the Emperor and could only be redeployed under the command of His Majesty. The act of redeploying the army by anyone else would be in violation of the law.
Yet, the black-clad imperial bodyguard was an important figure who served the Crown Prince. So, they followed his order and surrounded the restaurant in desperation of wanting to please and flatter the Crown Prince. They had never expected to run into and get busted by the Second Prince.
The Captain of the Imperial Guards understood very well that the Crown Prince and the Second Prince were rivals, competing over the throne. For such competition, only until the very end could one tell who the winner would be.
The Second Prince glanced over at the black-clad imperial bodyguard and immediately recognized him to be one from the Crown Prince’s side. His eyes continued to wander, and not after long, he had figured out what happened.
Faintly smiling, the Second Prince demanded, “Captain, without my father’s order, you cannot just redeploy the Imperial Guards as you please. I will pretend I didn’t see anything here today. Now, leave.”
“Thank you, Your Highness.” The Captain of the Imperial Guards saluted the Second Prince respectfully, then turned around to leave.
He left with his back soaked by cold sweat and his eyes full of fear. He felt fortunate that the Second Prince let him off and did not hold him responsible; if he were to be called to account, he would be in serious trouble.
The Second Prince watched in silence as the Captain of the Imperial Guards left. Without a word, he turned around and started eyeing the black-clad imperial bodyguard with an ambiguous and meaningful smile.
With that smile on his face, the Second Prince asserted, “If I remember correctly, you are San Huang, the imperial guard who serves my older brother. Why are you here? You should know very well the consequences if others find out that you have redeployed the Imperial City Imperial Guards without authorization.”
The Second Prince’s words made the black-clad imperial bodyguard flinch. He knew that if others had found out about this and informed the Emperor, he would be a goner without a doubt. Even the Crown Prince would not be about to save him.
The Second Prince watched as the black-clad imperial bodyguard panicked. He smiled elegantly and walked over to the imperial bodyguard. He then reached out his right hand, patted the imperial bodyguard’s shoulder and further whispered something in the imperial bodyguard’s ear before walking away.
The black-clad imperial bodyguard was dumbfounded. He did not hear anything – the Second Prince had only pretended to talk into his ear but did not actually say anything.
Seeing that the Second Prince did not mean to take action against him, the black-clad imperial bodyguard quickly turned around and fled towards the Crown Prince’s Palace.
Having failed his mission, he certainly had to go see the Crown Prince and to give a thorough account of all the events and especially of the Second Prince’s appearance in the end.
The Second Prince walked towards Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy. He spoke when he reached where they were, “The Imperial Guards should be my father’s jurisdiction. I apologize for the inconvenience their unauthorized actions have caused you.”
Qingfeng Li looked to the Second Prince approvingly; the Prince had left a favorable impression in him.
He had already made out from the earlier conversation that the young man before him was the well-renowned Second Prince of the country of Lingyun. What he did not expect was that the Prince would apologize to him for the actions of a captain of the Imperial Guards in such sincere manners.
Qingfeng Li gave a brief smile as he waved his hand and answered, “That’s not necessary.”
With a small smile on his face, the Second Prince inquired, “I would like to meet Qingfeng Li, I wonder if you know him.”
Qingfeng Li was astonished to find that the Second Prince was also there for him. He also found it a little hilarious that the Second Prince could not recognize him in person since the Prince had no idea what he looked like.
Upon hearing their conversation, the owner of the restaurant hurried towards the Second Prince and addressed respectfully, “Your Highness, this very person right before you is Qingfeng Li.”
The restaurant owner’s words brought amazement to the eyes of the Second Prince. He did not expect the young man before him to be Qingfeng Li – the person who could defeat the Young Prince with just a punch. Also, he found Qingfeng Li to be surprisingly young.
Qingfeng Li responded, “Your Highness, what is it that you needed to see me for?”
After a brief moment of surprise, the Second Prince replied, “I would like to treat you to a meal, what do you say?”
Seeing that the Second Prince was gazing at him eagerly, Qingfeng Li nodded in agreement. After all, the Second Prince had just done him a favor by driving away the Captain of the Imperial Guards.
The Second Prince was delighted with Qingfeng Li’s response and suggested, “Let’s go to Yunlan Restuarant, it is the best restaurant in the Imperial Capital.”
With a slight smile on his face, the Second Prince walked towards Yunlan Restaurant in Qingfeng Li’s company.
Yunlan Restuarant was the biggest restaurant in the Imperial Capital and was named after the Yunlan City in the Capital. It was equally famous with the Phoenix Palace – the restaurant where princesses gathered and dined; whereas, Yunlan Restuarant was where princes would feast.
Yunlan Restuarant was very vibrant and prosperous. Various delectable and exquisite cuisines were offered here. These were no ordinary cuisines, as most dishes were made with spirit herbs, spirit greens, spirit fruits, and demonic beasts.
When consumed by self-cultivators, it could help increase the level of vital essence in their bodies and could further help with their self-cultivation.
Needless to say, the price point of the restaurant was also extremely high. The restaurant did not accept money but vitality stones.
It was obvious that the Second Prince was a frequent patron of the restaurant. The moment he stepped into the restaurant, a manservant immediately came up to greet the prince with all smiles.
“Welcome Your Highness! I have already reserved the best table for Your Highness. It is right by the window and has a great view of the neighboring streets,” the server in black said pleasingly.
This guy was only about twenty years old. He looked neat, well-proportioned and handsome. The way he looked to the Second Prince implied a good amount of respect.
The Second Prince acknowledged with a nod and a smile, then started leading Qingfeng Li into the back of the restaurant.
The restaurant had high ceilings and had exactly three stories. It was entirely built with golden marble, making it look splendid and magnificent.
Located at the top of the doorframe, there were four big characters that read “Yunlan Restuarant” – the calligraphy was lively and vigorous, full of power.
Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant were decorated luxuriously and extravagantly. The floor was paved with furs of emperor level demonic beasts, and the tables and chairs were all made with spiritual wood of a cyan color.
The Second Prince directed Qingfeng Li to the seats by the window on the third floor. Those were great seats that allowed them the viewing of the neighboring street sceneries and the streams of the bustling crowd.
As a frequent patron of the restaurant, the Second Prince was constantly greeted by many other patrons who nodded their heads courteously.
As for Qingfeng Li, a young man the other patrons had never seen, they acknowledged his presence with a sense of astonishment in their eyes.
This was the first time Qingfeng Li visited the Imperial Capital. Nothing in the Capital resembled anything he had seen in other ordinary cities. In here, every person was a self-cultivator, and even the food they consumed embodied the atmosphere of self-cultivation.

Chapter 1637: Helping the Second Prince
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
The staple food that the Yunlan Restuarant provided was not long grain rice but spiritual rice. As its name suggested, the spiritual rice contained energy; even the water they supplied was no typical water but spiritual water, which also contained traces of spirit energy.
For both spiritual rice and spiritual water, there were different grades, ranging from low-grade, to mid-grade, and then finally high-grade. Naturally, the higher the grade, the higher the price point.
After consuming the spiritual rice and water, the impurity within a self-cultivator’s body would be eliminated. Thus, the body would become more healthy and fit.
The Second Prince was apparently willing to spare no expense to treat Qingfeng Li to this meal, as he directly took out fifty vitality stones and threw them to the server in black.
Through some more exchange and communication, Qingfeng Li found the Second Prince to be very honest and genuine. In comparison to the conceitedness seen in the Crown Prince’s bodyguard, the Second Prince was indeed down-to-earth.
Besides, the Second Prince was very respectful towards Qingfeng Li and had shown no intention of trying to wheedle Qingfeng Li into being at his beck and call.
For this reason, Qingfeng Li admired the Second Prince even more, the friendship with a gentleman would be pure like water. Qingfeng Li had no intention of joining anyone’s side or affiliation.
However, since the Second Prince was so sensible and thoughtful, Qingfeng Li still favored him over others and would like to help him out more. For instance, he could tell easily that the Second Prince had achieved the Seventh Level of the Spirit Emperor Realm, but there was a little problem with his cultivation; if corrected, he would soon be able to achieve a breakthrough.
After all, Qingfeng Li had even cultivated immortal level techniques, he sure had his own unique, well-informed understanding of emperor level techniques.
Qingfeng Li said to the Second Prince, “Did you feel pain in your third rib on the left when you cultivated techniques recently?”
His words had shocked the Second Prince greatly as his eyes were filled with disbelief.
The Second Prince had been deeply distressed about the fact that he had not been able to break through after he had reached the Seventh Level of Spirit Emperor Realm. He had tried many methods. Yet, none had worked.
Moreover, every time when he tried to cultivate, the third rib on the left side of his body would start aching terribly. He had not told anyone about this, not even his father, he was amazed and confused as to why Qingfeng Li would know.
The Second Prince was absolutely confident that he had never met Qingfeng Li until today. Besides, for their first time meeting, they had merely spent no more than an hour dining together, he wondered how Qingfeng Li found out.
The Second Prince couldn’t help but ask, “How did you know?”
Qingfeng Li smiled coolly and replied, “That is because there is a little mistake in the technique you’re trying to cultivate.”
The Second Prince shook his head and disagreed. He was not convinced by Qingfeng Li’s words because the technique that he was cultivating was of emperor level and was found in the treasure storehouse of the Emperor Palace.
“I heard that father also cultivated this technique back then. I wondered why he was able to do it but I am not.”
Qingfeng Li could tell from the look on the Second Prince’s face that his words did not get through to the prince. Qingfeng Li was not surprised by it since he did speak boldly and blatantly – anyone would have thought that he was talking nonsense.
With a faint smile, Qingfeng Li added, “There is nothing wrong with the technique that you’re cultivating, but your physique is not as compatible with this emperor level technique.
“Your physique was relatively weak when you were still in the womb, and the third rib had been injured then. A lot Yin properties concentrated there and this it had gathered an excessively cold aura; the emperor level technique that you are cultivating is more Yang and overbearing, so the two are in conflict.”
The Second Prince was greatly frightened by Qingfeng Li’s words as his face began to look as if he had just encountered ghosts. That was because the fact that he had been injured when he was still in his mother’s womb was known to no one but his father alone.
At the time, an assassin had intruded, and the Second Prince’s mother was hurriedly rescued by his emperor father’s rescue, yet was injured. He was only a fetus. Still, one of his ribs was struck by the assassin’s cold sword. As a result, he had very weak breathing when he was born.
It was for improving his physique and ridding his body of the coldness that the Second Prince had cultivated the Emperor Level Fire Technique. He had cultivated it for more than twenty years and had believed that all of the coldness in his body had been driven out. Yet, it was obvious now that the third rib still contained some of that coldness.
This time, the Second Prince no longer doubted Qingfeng Li’s words. Qingfeng Li’s ability to discern the fact that the prince had been injured in the womb proved he had great insights. The Second Prince knew that he had encountered a master.
Even though Qingfeng Li was very young, he seemed to have demonstrated even better observation, fighting capacity, and general knowledge than the Second Prince himself.
The Second Prince stood up and bowed to Qingfeng Li respectfully. “Even my father could not cure the illness in me. Now that you could figure it out so easily, please help me cure it.”
Other patrons in the restaurant saw that the Second Prince had bowed to Qingfeng Li and were all in disbelief.
“Who is that young man? How could he make the Second Prince bow to him? What honor…”
“Did you not see? Just moments ago, this young man’s Black Puppy had defeated the Crown Prince’s bodyguard. It was swollen with arrogance.”
“Oh, that guy… I thought he looked familiar. I heard that he had even eaten together with the Third Princess at Phoenix Palace as well.”
The scene had given rise to much discussion among the self-cultivators in the restaurant. Many of them had recognized Qingfeng Li and started pointing their fingers at him as they spoke. In the end, they all stared at him in astonishment.
Unknowingly, Qingfeng Li had gathered some reputation in the Imperial Capital due to his connection and involvement with the Third Princess, the Crown Prince, and the Second Prince.
Paying no regards to all the chattering around them, Qingfeng Li first asked the Second Prince to sit down next to him. Then, he put out his right hand and placed two fingers on the prince’s wrist to take his pulse.
Qingfeng Li could clearly feel a burst of weakened cold air in the third rib of the Second Prince’s body.
Common fire techniques or honor level fire elemental elixirs could not expel this burst of coldness because it was congenital; only sacred level flames were capable of this.
Since Qingfeng Li had the Golden Flames in his body, he was confident that he was able to cure the coldness inside the Second Prince’s body.
Qingfeng Li conducted the Golden Flames inside his body and started releasing them to his right hand. The Golden Flames were summoned onto his index finger and middle finger, bouncing up and down like a couple of dancing fairies.
Dancing along Qingfeng Li’s fingers, the Golden Flames entered the Second Prince’s body, and with scorching high temperatures, they were able to eliminate all possible coldness.
The instant the Golden Flames had entered his body, the Second Prince felt as though he was inside a furnace, or even a volcano. With an agonizing groan, bead-sized drops of sweat started forming and rolling down his forehead. The Second Prince was in great pain.
Qingfeng Li murmured, “Your Highness, stay strong, all of the coldness in your body will be expelled.”
The Second Prince nodded in response. He knew that the flames inside his body were not common flames, as he actually sensed an atmosphere of holiness and purity in them. This atmosphere was even more powerful than that of his father’s, making the Second Prince feel shaken both physically and spiritually.

The Second Prince was going through agonizing pain. He felt that his body was being scorched by magma. Crimson cracks started appearing on his skin and were letting out green puffs of smoke. He looked like he was being torrefied.
Not only his skin, but his muscles, bloodline, viscera, and bones had all started exuding black smoke. It was excruciating.
Still, the Second Prince gritted his teeth and endured. He understood that the coldness in his body was being eliminated little by little.
Some of this coldness had already entered his viscera long ago, and the techniques the Second Prince had cultivated did not help. Now, all Qingfeng Li did was send flames into the prince’s body, yet it was enough to eliminate this coldness.
Qingfeng Li’s Golden Flames contained a horrifying temperature of eight thousand degrees. Within an instant, they had expelled all of the coldness in the Second Prince’s body.
They further traveled to the third rib of the Second Prince’s body. It was where the most dense coldness had gathered, having already seeped into his bone marrow. Nonetheless, the coldness was easily removed due to the Golden Flame’s frightening high temperature.
Qingfeng Li took a deep breath and suddenly put forth his right palm to form a force of gravitation. The force extracted all of the Golden Flames from the Second Prince’s body and stored them back into Qingfeng Li’s.
Qingfeng Li had cultivated the Mortal Purgatory Body, a technique that could allow one’s body to evolve into the immortal level. If Qingfeng Li could master cultivating it, he would be able to suppress hell; naturally, he was able to withstand the extremely high temperatures of saint level flames as well.
The Second Prince was able to withstand the flames for a very short period of time, but definitely not for the long term, as he was already close to being burned to death.
Qingfeng Li smiled lightly as he asked the Second Prince, “How do you feel right now? Try exercising your emperor level technique and see if the third rib still hurts.”
The Second Prince nodded his head and started practicing his fire technique at once. When it got to his third rib, he realized the pain was gone, and the exercise went smoothly.
The fire technique continuously flowed inside his body, faintly advancing his strength and directly allowing him to break through to the Eighth Level of the Spirit Emperor Realm.
Excitement was written all over the Second Prince’s face, the enthusiasm causing his face to become bright red. He had been stagnant at the Seventh Level Spirit Emperor Realm for quite a few years, and it was frustrating. Needless to say, the unexpected breakthrough had made him overjoyed.
The Second Prince stood up, picked up the wine bottle and poured a glass of wine for Qingfeng Li himself to show his gratitude.
Again, all those in the restaurant were extremely shocked by what they saw. They did not think they would live to see the sight of the Second Prince of the country of Lingyun pouring wine for someone else. They found this scene to be unbelievable.
To show his courtesy, Qingfeng Li accepted the glass of wine and started drinking.
After that, Qingfeng Li sat down with the Second Prince again and had more conversations. He even transferred some of his own vital essence into the Second Prince’s body to help mend his injury.
Moments later, the wounds on the Second Prince’s body had been completely healed. Moreover, he had become even stronger and gave off a fierce atmosphere. Nevertheless, he was still no match for Qingfeng Li.
At this time, the Second Prince seemed to have thought of something as he took out a golden invitation card and handed it to Qingfeng Li.
The invitation card was made of a fine gold color. It was twenty centimeters long and ten centimeters wide. Its build was exquisite, with the design of a cloud etched on the front. The aura of seal scriptures were given off from the cloud.
One look at it and Qingfeng Li could readily tell that it had to be a master of the Supreme Realm who had made this golden invitation card, because the Cloud talisman Scripture was of the Supreme Realm.
Furrowing his brows, Qingfeng Li asked, “What is this, Your Highness?”
The Second Prince explained with a small smile, “This is an invitation to the Imperial Capital Auction. The auction will be held one day later at Ji’s. All the influential self-cultivators and royalties in the country will be attending.”
“The auction will include many powerful cultivation techniques, elixirs, spiritual treasures, talisman scriptures, and other rare items; even bloodlines, spiritual bones, and beauties of various ethnicities can be put up for bids. Of course, you can buy as well.”
Qingfeng Li’s eyes were glowing as he asked, “Can information be bought at this auction?”
The Second Prince nodded and told Qingfeng Li that, with enough commission, his desired information could be bought.
Qingfeng Li accepted the golden invitation card from the Second Prince at once, and thanked the prince for it. He had to attend this auction and gain information on the whereabouts of Xue Lin and Ruyan Liu before he could set out to look for them.
Thereafter, the Second Prince conversed with Qingfeng Li again for a long time. In the end, he left Qingfeng Li with a token. It was the Second Prince’s identity token and was representative of the prince himself. It authorized Qingfeng Li to behave the way he wanted all throughout the Imperial Capital,;no one would dare to mess with him.
“Of course, except for the Emperor himself and the Crown Prince.”
At the this time, the black-clad imperial bodyguard had arrived back to the Crown Prince’s Palace. His face was red and swollen, and the dog paw print on his face had not yet faded away.
He had tried to use the vital essence in his body to remove the dog paw print, but to no avail. As it was drawn with Black Puppy’s super power, the print could not be removed for quite some time.
The Crown Prince was sitting safe and secure on his nephrite jade bed when the black-clad imperial bodyguard came in. The Crown Prince asked, “How did it go? Have you brought Qingfeng Li with you?”
The black-clad imperial bodyguard shook his head and replied, “Your Highness, Qingfeng Li refused to come and kept insulting Your Highness, calling Your Highness a good-for-nothing. That Black Puppy by his side even assaulted me, leaving a big paw print on my face…”
As the black-clad imperial bodyguard bewailed tearfully, he kept emphasizing his misery, making Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy sound like the most vicious beings in the world.
The black-clad imperial bodyguard was extremely enraged by Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy and vowed to take vengeance for himself. Thus, he kept spewing venom at them, hoping to deeply anger the Crown Prince, so that the Crown Prince would give orders to kill those two.
After hearing what the black-clad imperial bodyguard had to say, the Crown Prince’s face had turned ghastly pale. He was livid.
He thought sending out his personal bodyguard to call forth Qingfeng Li was the best courtesy he could offer; therefore, he found Qingfeng Li’s rejection and violence against his personal bodyguard humiliating and outrageous.
The Crown Prince questioned, “San Huang, did you not know to summon the Imperial City Imperial Guards to teach Qingfeng Li a lesson?”
The black-clad imperial bodyguard’s face tensed up as he replied loudly, “Your Highness, I did summon the Imperial City Imperial Guards, and we were going to teach Qingfeng Li and that dog an unforgettable lesson.
“However, the Second Prince showed up and turned away the Imperial City Imperial Guards. I feel that Qingfeng Li was friends with the Second Prince, which would make him an enemy. Your Highness, we have to eliminate him.”
Coldness started to grow in the Crown Prince’s eyes. He had already sentenced Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy to death in his heart and started contemplating against them.

Chapter 1639: Planetary Elixir Pharmacy
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
Qingfeng Li was unaware that the Crown Prince of the country of Lingyun had decided to exterminate him. Even if he did know, he probably still would not care. For now, the only people who were worthy of his concerns were those of the Third Level of the Supreme Realm and above; he could efficiently deal with anyone who was below that level.
Qingfeng Li said to Black Puppy who was by his side, “Puppy, take a walk with me to an elixir pharmacy.”
Qingfeng Li had promised Dark Night Emperor that if he ever acquired appropriate elixirs or spirit herbs, he would help him enhance his spirit energy. That was a promise he intended to keep.
The Imperial Capital was huge, its size exactly ten times that of Greater Luo City. The roads and streets were also remarkably wide and were all made of high-grade meteorites.
As Qingfeng Li walked on them, he could feel the denseness of the rocks. Slightly using force on his feet, he noticed that no prints could be left on these meteorites. He figured that it was because they were enchanted with the Imperial Capital Array Formation.
Streams of bustling crowds were coming and going on the broad streets.
The Imperial City was the Capital and the biggest city of the country of Lingyun. Its permanent resident population was above thirty million. The city was also known for its abundant self-cultivator residents and the many shops that self-cultivators favored, such as elixir pharmacies, spiritual treasure shops, spirit herb pharmacies, etc.
Qingfeng Li was dazzled by the varieties. Of the plentiful choices, he decided on the Planetary Elixir Pharmacy, only because there was a star design at the top of the shop.
Qingfeng Li held such designs dear to his heart. Stars belonged to the sky, and the Conqueror’s Finger that he was the heritage of his father’s family was focused on drawing the Power of Stars from the sky into his body to enhance his physical strength.
The Conqueror had now ascended to the Grand World to search for Qingfeng Li’s mother. Qingfeng Li missed his parents dearly. He believed one day, he would go find his parents in the Three Thousand Grand Worlds, and they would all be reunited.
Qingfeng Li led Li Yang and Black Puppy towards the Planetary Elixir Pharmacy. By the entrance, they were stopped by a youth. The youth was in his 20s and was wearing clothes of the cyan color, looking a little aloof.
“The Planetary Elixir Pharmacy only allows self-cultivators – demonic beasts such as that dog are not allowed to enter,” the youth declared to Qingfeng Li.
The youth’s tone implied a hint of condescension. His words made Qingfeng Li frown in discontent. He thought it was unreasonable that he was not allowed to shop while being accompanied by a dog.
Black Puppy also furrowed its brows with rage pooling in its eyes. It was irritated by the youth’s contempt. Ignoring the youth’s statement, it reached out its paws and continued forward.
The youth’s eyes grew cold when he saw that Black Puppy had disregarded his warning. He suddenly used his right hand to strike at Black Puppy, trying to smack him out of the pharmacy.
Yet, Black Puppy continued on carelessly. With a casual wave of its paw, it had forced the youth to step back.
The crowd was amazed by what they saw. No one had thought a puppy could be so strong. All of a sudden, someone had recognized Black Puppy and discussion had broken out among the crowd.
“You see, that is the puppy that defeated the Crown Prince’s bodyguard at the Spirit Bamboo Inn.”
“It really is! I thought I was mistaken, but now it is clear that it is that puppy… still as arrogant as ever.”
“Did you know that the young man next to Black Puppy is also a big deal? The Second Prince personally invited him for food and even poured wine for him.”
The self-cultivators who were shopping in the elixir pharmacy were marveled and continued to chatter among themselves quietly.
The remarks from the self-cultivators in the store startled the youth. He did not expect Black Puppy, which he so carelessly insulted, to be a big shot that would even assault the Crown Prince’s bodyguard.
However, the youth thought of their pharmacy’s high popularity and reputation in the entire Crimson Fire Continent, which was even greater than the influence of the emperor of the country of Lingyun, and he immediately felt inflated again. He glared at Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy disdainfully.
Qingfeng Li had certainly noticed the look on the youth’s face. He was baffled by the youth’s arrogance. It was clear that Black Puppy was immensely powerful; yet, the youth still looked down on them. This angered him a bit.
Qingfeng Li said to Black Puppy, “Go teach him a lesson.”
Black Puppy nodded. It jumped into the air and flew to the youth in no time. Taking out its paw, it slapped right onto the youth’s face and sent him rolling on the ground.
A distinct paw print had appeared on the youth’s face, and he looked miserable.
The youth was in shock. He didn’t think Black Puppy would be so ill-tempered that it would start attacking him without even giving him a chance to speak. Moreover, with its level of power, the youth was quickly sent flying before he could react.
“Fighting in the Planetary Elixir Pharmacy, huh? How audacious.” Suddenly, a majestic voice came from deep within the pharmacy.
Right when the voice died off, an elderly man with completely white hair had walked out. The elderly man had a hunched back, a wrinkly face, and snowy hair and beard. Despite the clear signs of aging, every inch of his body was giving off a powerful atmosphere. He was obviously a master.
The self-cultivators who were shopping for elixirs in the store started backing off as their faces turned grey. They recognized that the elder was a master of the First Level of the Supreme Realm and an emperor level class nine alchemist.
Many of those who wanted to purchase elixirs would look to this elder for help. Therefore, when the elder first appeared, many people looked to him respectfully, and at the same time, fearfully.
Qingfeng Li smiled calmly and sheltered in front of Black Puppy, blocking off for it the Supreme Realm atmosphere given off by the elder.
The elder furrowed his eyebrows as he became astonished. He was positive that Qingfeng Li was only of the Eight Level of the Spirit Emperor Realm, and the fact that Qingfeng Li did not flinch in the oppression of his Supreme Realm surprised him.
The white-haired elder glanced at Qingfeng Li as he asked, “Why did you instruct your black puppy to assault our staff?”
With a faint smile on his face, Qingfeng Li replied, “He wouldn’t allow Black Puppy to enter the pharmacy. You are an elixir pharmacy and should treat your patrons fairly and equally. As long as one can afford to purchase your elixirs, one should be allowed to enter.”
At this moment, a middle-aged man walked out from the side. He seemed like the manager of the elixir pharmacy. Promptly, he went over to the white-haired elder and explained to him all the recent events involving Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy in the Imperial Capital.
The white-haired elder usually only stayed in the back of the elixir pharmacy to focus on making elixirs and pills and rarely came to the storefront, so he was not aware of the recent events that had taken place in the Imperial City.
After listening to the middle-aged manager, the white-haired elder looked to Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy in awe as he knew that they were certainly no commoners if they dared to disrespect the Crown Prince even in the Imperial Capital.

Chapter 1640: Buying Elixirs
Translator: Noodletown Translated Editor: Noodletown Translated
The white-haired elder pondered for a moment and spoke, “You are allowed to come in, and so is your black puppy. The Planetary Elixir Pharmacy welcomes all.”
As he finished, the white-haired elder nodded slightly to Qingfeng Li, removing the Supreme Realm Suppression off his own body and turning around to return to his alchemist room.
In the back of the pharmacy, there was a small room about twenty square meters in size. Inside the room, there was an elixir furnace and piles of elixirs – this was where the white-haired elder made the products.
Many of the elixirs sold in the pharmacy were made by him; others were acquired from elsewhere.
The face of that young staff member in the pharmacy was turning ghastly pale. Just moments ago, he treated Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy in a condescending manner all due to his pride derived from being a part of their elixir pharmacy, which was the biggest branch of the elixir association in the entire Crimson Fire Continent.
However, he was instantly embarrassed by the white-haired elder, who brushed over him but took Qingfeng Li very seriously. The white-haired elder had lived for a few hundred years and was an expert in telling the levels of potential in the young.
For instance, Qingfeng Li was obviously very powerful as he could effortlessly block the Supreme Realm Aura the white-haired elder exuded. Even though the white-haired elder had achieved the Supreme Realm, he was not so sure whether he could defeat Qingfeng Li if it came to that. As a result, he decided to let Qingfeng Li in without causing any further trouble.
Qingfeng Li led Black Puppy into the elixir pharmacy. He noticed that the lobby of the pharmacy was exceptionally spacious – it was more than a thousand square meters in size and the countless counters and shelves were situated on both sides.
The counters and shelves were all made of crystal. They were glimmeringly translucent, neat and elegant, providing clear views of the elixirs stored inside.
The elixirs were also of a vast variety and had to be catalogued in a great range of numbers. From left to right, in that order, there were elixirs for refining the body, spirit, essence energy, and for enhancing the soul.
Qingfeng Li had no need for elixirs that helped refine the body, as he was cultivating an immortal level body cultivation technique.
Dark Night Emperor was now in a soul state, so had no need for this type of elixirs, either. What he needed was soul elixirs that could help refine his soul and to agglomerate his soul power.
Qingfeng Li went straight to the aisle for soul elixirs and immediately noticed the Emperor’s Soul Elixir.
This was an emperor level nineth class elixir. Its ingredients consisted of the soul-draining herb, ecstasy flower, rattan soul fruit, and some other spirit herbs.
Qingfeng Li could vividly sense a jot of powerful soul power from inside of it. However, when Qingfeng Li took note of the price tag beneath the elixir, his mouth started twitching uncontrollably. The price tag stated that the cost of the Emperor’s Soul Elixir was a hundred emperor level vitality stones.
Qingfeng Li had already used up most of his vitality stones, and all he had were king level high-grade vitality stones; he had no emperor level vitality stones on him at the moment.
When he first arrived to the Crimson Fire Continent from Earth, he had actually brought some emperor level vitality stones with him. However, as his spirit energy was completely devoured then, the vitality stones had all disappeared as well.
Qingfeng Li had no choice but to look away from the Emperor’s Soul Elixir and to explore other options. Right next to it was the Soul-lifting Elixir, which was also an emperor level elixir, and it was even more expensive – a hundred and fifty emperor level vitality stones. Again, Qingfeng was startled by the cost.
In the past, his means of enhancing his own strengths and abilities were always through cultivating immortal level techniques, so he did not have much understanding of vitality stones and the pricing of elixirs. Today, he was deeply shocked by the steep price points of some of these emperor level elixirs.
Now Qingfeng Li secretly wished he had utilized the the Alchemy Arts of Saints deep within his brain to produce some emperor level elixirs to exchange for a large amount of vitality stones.
Nonetheless, he realized that the idea was not feasible as he shook his head in the next moment. The making of elixirs required a good amount of precious and valuable spirit herbs which he did not have; and the purchasing of spirit herbs would require a large amount of vitality stones, which he also did not have. It would have become an endless loop.
Qingfeng took a look at the other types of elixirs and found all of them to be extremely expensive. Almost any one of them would cost at least more than a hundred emperor level vitality stones, which were definitely not something Qingfeng Li could afford.
Needless to say, this would not pose a problem to the affluent royalty or powerful self-cultivators of the Imperial Capital – all they had was vitality stones and elixirs were all that they lacked.
At this time, the staff member that had a conflict with them had walked over again. Seeing that Qingfeng Li was only browsing and seemed to have no intention of buying, he realized Qingfeng Li must not have enough vitality stones. Right away, his eyes were filled with disdain.
The youth mocked coolly, “I was just thinking what a big deal you must be and wondering how many vitality stones you must have on you. Acting all cool and powerful. Who knew? You have no vitality stones, yet you dream of buying elixirs.”
The youth staff’s words displeased Qingfeng Li. The gleam of anger made him want to slap the youth. Yet, Qingfeng Li had to admit that the idiot was stating the truth – he did not have vitality stones on him, and therefore could not purchase any of the elixirs.
“Who said Qingfeng Li cannot purchase elixirs? I will pay for whichever elixir he wishes to get with my vitality stones.”
A charming and crisp voice resounded by his side, Qingfeng Li turned his head and saw that Princess Red-Swallow was the owner of the voice.
Princess Red-Swallow left a deep impression in Qingfeng Li, as she was the one who led him to Phoenix Palace to meet the Third Princess. From the Third Princess, Qingfeng Li found out that Red-Swallow was also a princess.
The youth staff member was startled as he instantly recognized Princess Red-Swallow. Although he was only a staff member in an elixir pharmacy, he was a resident in the Imperial Capital after all.
Now that the Planetary Elixir Pharmacy was doing business in the Imperial Capital, naturally, having to deal with a princess from the Imperial Capital was possible.
Princess Red-Swallow paced to Qingfeng Li’s side and asked, “Which elixir do you have your eyes on? I’ll pay for you with my vitality stones.”
Qingfeng Li slightly nodded his head and said, “I would like the Emperor’s Soul Elixir, but it costs a hundred emperor level vitality stones.”
Qingfeng Li’s words made Princess Red-Swallow gasp. She was not expecting Qingfeng Li to have his eyes on such elixir. This type of soul elixir was even more expensive than the normal vital qi elixir – every one of them was at least ten times more expensive.
Usually, emperor level elixirs that helped enhance vital essence only cost about ten emperor level vitality stones; yet, this type costed a hundred.
Princess Red-Swallow took a look at her interspatial ring and realized that she only had a little over ninety emperor level vitality stones. A hint of awkwardness appeared on her face; as after she openly declared to help pay for Qingfeng Li’s desired elixir, she found that she did not have enough vitality stones to do so.
Qingfeng Li certainly noticed the embarrassment on Princess Red-Swallow’s face, but he didn’t mind. He did not plan to let Princess Red-Swallow pay for him in the first place, as it would make him feel like an incompetent, kept-man.
He wanted to be able to pay for the emperor level soul elixir that would help Dark Night Emperor enhance his soul power with his own means and ability.
Qingfeng Li’s eyes wandered for a second, then he turned to Princess Red-Swallow and asked, “Princess, can you tell me the fastest way to earn emperor level vitality stones?”
