Chapter 458: This Woman is Not Simple

 

Qingfeng Li took a closer glance, and a lady dressed in green appeared in front of him. She was very pretty with tanned, tight skin, and eyes like black pearls giving out charming glistens.

On the side of the lady in green stood a young man also dressed in green. They seemed to be together but, they were surrounded by a group of thugs now.

This group of thugs were quite arrogant. The leader was a man with blonde-dyed hair. He looked and at the lady in green and said, “You walked by and damaged my beer bottle. How are you going to repay me, gorgeous?”

Laying beside the bully’s foot was a broken beer bottle. Apparently, it broke as it fell to the ground. Qingfeng Li had no idea how it got broken, as he was shopping in the supermarket and didn’t witness the events that occurred.

The pretty lady didn’t say anything. Instead, the young man beside her went mad and said, “You are bullshitting, it was you that pushed the bottle off the table. Why blackmail my sister?”

The young man looked no older than twenty, he had strong muscles and a very figured face. His body was in great shape, which revealed that he worked out frequently and was from a mountainous area.

Young people in the city used to be either fat or skinny, but neither had solid muscles no matter which kind they were. However, this young man’s muscles were like refined iron, with great power coming out of his tanned skin.

Obviously, only a master like Qingfeng Li was capable to tell that the lady in green and the young man weren’t simple by their look.s Any normal person wouldn’t have their level of abilities.

“Little brat, if I said it was your sister then it was her.” The blonde haired man frowned and said arrogantly.

The fact was, the bottle was pushed off by the blonde haired man purposely when he saw the lady in green coming. He did that just in order to keep the lady around, as she was so pretty that the blonde haired man wanted to hit on her.

To be honest, the blonde haired man had seen countless beautiful ladies in Eastern Sea City, including even movie stars but he had never seen anyone with such elegant charm.

If it was the case of beauty, there were ladies that were actually more beautiful than her. However, talking about charm, the lady in green had a unique charm without a doubt. She was giving out a vigorous scent like a female panther in the forest, triggered his desire to conquer her.

“What do you want?” the lady in green frowned and asked.

Her tone wasn’t very nice, even having some coldness in it. That was because the aggressive way he looked at her made her feel disgusted.

“It is simple, gorgeous. You broke my beer bottle, so you just have to have some drinks with me tonight.” the blonde haired man flirted, his voice couldn’t be any more evil.

The couple of thugs behind the blonde haired man burst into laughter, with their eyes full of malicious intentions. Some even started stirring up trouble, yelling at the lady in green to have some drinks with the blonde haired man.

Disgust flickered in the lady’s eyes and she said in a cold voice, “You are blackmailing me, you broke the bottle as I was walking by.”

“Blackmail you? Hahaha, I am blackmailing you. But what can you do? Don’t expect to leave if you aren’t going to have drinks with me today.” The blonde haired man laughed arrogantly.

They were bullies who just like to make troubles and flirt with pretty ladies. The beer they had made them more aggressive. Therefore, as they ran into this pretty lady, they decided to approach her.

“I’ll say it for the last time, we are going to leave so move out of the way.” the lady in green sneered, a beam of chilling light appearing in her eyes.

Unfortunately, the blonde haired man didn’t notice the coldness in her eyes. Instead, he acted even more arrogantly, and yelled, “dudes, let’s take her away since she isn’t willing to have some drinks with us.”

All the bullies started laughing all of a sudden, wobblingly walking towards the lady, trying to get her.

“Sister, let me teach them a lesson for you.” the young man said in a cold voice, which revealed his anger.

Goddamn the bullies, how dare them to flirt with the sister. It is time to show them a lesson.

“Young man, how can you protect your sister when your hair isn’t even fully grown yet. Be careful or I’ll beat you up.” the blonde haired man scorned at the young man.

Madness flickered in the young man’s eyes, he clenched his fist and was ready to make his move.

“Cheng Wu, just show them a bit punishment, don’t kill them.” the lady in green said carelessly, not showing any emotion.

What? Don’t kill us?

The blonde haired man twisted his eyebrows. Anger appeared in his eyes, the kind of anger from being looked down upon. The blonde haired man was quite well-known in this area as a very tough thug with a dozen of bullies in his gang. Everyone was scared of him.

But now, this lady asked her brother not to beat him to death, isn’t that humiliating?

“Dudes, let’s get him and beat him up so that he can see how strong we are.” the blonde haired man gave his command to the bullies around him.

A fat bully who stood closest to Cheng Wu threw a punch at his chest, trying to show off his braveness in front of the blonde haired man.

“You are just playing with fire.” Cheng Wu gave a cold smile. He then accumulated all the air in his lower abdomen, gathered his strength in his fist, and threw his right fist abruptly at the fat bully’s fist with a sonic boom.

Crack!

The fist of the fat bully broke immediately, and the white bones and red flesh underneath were exposed. He made a miserable cry, then held his fist and screamed on the ground.

Cheng Wu shrugged his mouth, not giving a shit about the fat bully screaming on the ground. He remembered her sister’s words, so he only used half of his strength. The fat bully could have ended up dead if Cheng Wu used all of his strength.

“That wasn’t satisfying, the Heroes List is so much better since we can sharpen our skills without worrying about killing others.” Cheng Wu pondered.

The purpose of their trip to the Eastern Sea City was for the Heroes List Competition. He had already attended and won one so far. They were going for a dinner to celebrate tonight but didn’t expect to see the appearance of those bullies.

“This young man isn’t easy to deal with, go get the lady first.” the blonde haired man waved his arm and made his command.

He could tell Cheng Wu was from a martial art family who was tough to fight against, so he decided to get the lady in green first.

Cheng Wu shrugged his mouth again hearing what the blonde haired man said. “What an idiot, they wouldn’t have any idea how they end up dead if they dare to touch my sister.”

“Go get the lady.”

The blonde haired man yelled and rushed towards the lady with a bunch of bullies.

The face of the lady turned downcast, a cold light flickered in her eyes, as those bullies were so despicable that they reached their hands to her chest trying to take advantage of her.

“Baji Fist.”

The lady groaned, located her abdomen in the middle, set her feet as the base, lifted her arms and shoulders horizontally. She punched with her right fist suddenly, shot hard at the blonde haired man with a strong wind that fired up the air.

Bang!

The blonde haired man fainted event before he could make a scream. His body flew all the way backward into a couple of the other bullies, who fell on the ground and lost consciousness immediately.

Knocking over half of the bullies with a single punch, the rest of the bullies were all left with pale faces and terrified eyes. This lady was incredibly powerful, like a fierce female dragon. They had never seen any woman as strong as she was.

The rest half of the bullies tried to run away, but the lady walked up one step, waved her fist and knocked them over.

The dozen of thugs all passed out by only two punches from the lady.

“This woman is not simple.” Qingfeng Li frowned and his eyes showed his concerns.

Seeing Qingfeng Li standing not far away, the lady asked in a cold voice, “Are you with them?”

Chapter 459: Sleeping With Xue Lin on the Same Bed

 

To respond to the lady’s question, Qingfeng Li shook his head and said, “No, I’m not with them.”

Apparently the lady didn’t believe Qingfeng Li’s answer, as he was quite close to the bullies, like a few dozens of meters away. It seemed that he was part of the bullies, so it was no wonder she had doubts. (TL: then you might as well f*ck everyone at the supermarket)

The lady in green stared at Qingfeng Li with her eyebrows twisted, and the look on her face was getting more and more serious. She sensed a force, which could only be owned by a master. It was impossible to see or touch the force, but it indeed existed.

The way Qingfeng Li stood was quite particular. Although he looked like he stood there casually, his feet were crossed and his chest was leaning forward. That was a standard posture for a front kick, which allowed him to attack in the shortest amount of time once he was in a dangerous situation. Unlike him, normal people would just stand perfunctorily.

“Gorgeous, don’t worry, I see that you are very excellent at martial arts. Was that the Baji Fist?” Qingfeng Li said with a smile on his face.

He learned about the strength generating techniques of the Baji Fist from his master and it looked the same as what the lady just did.

The lady’s pupils suddenly shrunk. He was the first person figure to out her skills ever since she came to Eastern Sea City. This young man wasn’t simple.

“Let’s go Cheng Wu.” the lady grabbed Cheng Wu and left after giving a slight smile.

The young man in front gave her an uncomfortable feeling, which was similar to an encounter with another master. Since this man wasn’t with the bullies, she didn’t want to get in a tangle, so she just left with her brother.

Qingfeng Li wished he could keep the conversation with the lady going, since it was rare to meet a master, and it would be nicer if they could exchange a few techniques over a quick combat. But she just left with no hesitation, which disappointed him.

“Damn, I’m here for grocery shopping. My parents-in-law are still waiting for me at home.” Qingfeng Li smacked his head regretfully and walked back home.

He had already got some stuff at the supermarket, but he was distracted by that marvelous lady. He stopped to watch but didn’t expect it would take him so long.

As Qingfeng Li finally got home with some rice and food. Xue Lin and his parents-in-law had been waiting forever and were starving.

“What took you so long to shop for groceries, Qingfeng?” Xiaoyun Mu asked with a confused look.

As a housewife, Xiaoyun Mu used to go grocery shopping. She had lived here for a while before Qingfeng Li and Xue Lin got married, thus she knew their place was close to a supermarket. It only took about half an hour to bring all the stuff back home but this time it took him over an hour.

“I’m sorry, I got interrupted by something,” Qingfeng Li rushed to the kitchen after apologizing.

What could he do? He was the son-in-law, so he couldn’t let his parents-in-law cook.

Luckily, Qingfeng Li was quite smart since half of the food he got was cooked, all he needed was to warm it up in the microwave, which only took about ten minutes.

While warming up food in the microwave, he turned on the gas and started frying food. He made three dishes, stirred green pepper with egg, spicy sour cabbage, and stewed eggplant in soy sauce, plus three plates of pre-cooked food, which made six dishes.

As soon as the dishes were on the table, his parents-in-law started eating immediately. Seeing Xue Lin having a hard time eating with chopsticks, Qingfeng Li then picked up some food and started feeding her.

It took a short time to finish dinner since everyone was very hungry.

It was over nine o’clock after dinner and his father-in-law wanted to go home. Obviously, Qingfeng would walk out with him.

In terms of the mother-in-law, she wouldn’t go home for now, as she had to stay at Xue Lin’s home and take care of her.

“Qingfeng, please take care of my daughter Xue recently.” Shi Lin said to Qingfeng Li outside the villa.

Xue Lin was a sweet considerate daughter. She planned to go through some corporation documents, but she wanted to spend more time chatting with her mother, so she just put the documents away.

Qingfeng Li sat beside listening to their conversation and chipped in occasionally. What they talked about the most was things happened when Xue Lin was a kid.

“Dear Xue, do you still remember things when you were in elementary school?” Xiaoyun Mu asked with a slight smile on her face.

“There were so many things back then, which one were you talking about mother?”

“I meant the time when you were on your way back, you fell and broke your leg on a heavily snowy day.”

“Of course I remember that. I wouldn’t have been here if you didn’t look for me.” Xue Lin said with great appreciation.

She remembered clearly that when she was in grade one, one day there was a heavy snow, she fell into a huge gap on her way from school, and her leg got broken.

Xue Lin was covered by the thick snow. She thought she would probably be dead, as the path was quite out of the way. However, her mother saved her out of the gap regardless of the heavy snow and darkness.

That moment had always remained fresh in Xue Lin’s memory. She always had so much to talk about when she was with her mother, but they were mainly talking about things happened when she was young.

Xue Lin and her mother didn’t finish their chats and go to bed until eleven o’clock at night.

Qingfeng Li zoned out for a few seconds when he heard it was time for bed, as he couldn’t sleep in a separate bedroom when his mother-in-law was here.

It was very considerate of Xiaoyun Mu asking Xue Lin to sleep in the bedroom with Qingfeng Li instead of her.

Xue Lin tried to refuse, but Xiaoyun Mu insisted that she wanted to sleep alone. As a result, Xue Lin had to sleep in the same bedroom with Qingfeng Li.

Obviously, Qingfeng Li carried Xue Lin to the bedroom on the second floor.

“Okay, got it.” Qingfeng Li mumbled, but apparently he didn’t take what she said, as his hands were still wandering on her body.

It might be fine not having sex when such a beauty laying beside him, however, it was such a misery if he wasn’t even allowed to touch her.

Qingfeng Li had a wonderful night taking advantage of Xue Lin. In terms of Xue Lin, she could hardly fall asleep, since there was a pair of wolf claws touching her, keeping her awake.

Chapter 460: Good to Be At Work

 

The next day, the rising sun and warm air indicated it was another good day.

This was Qingfeng Li’s favourite weather, a beautiful weather set a nice mood. He hated cloudy day, which really irritated him.

He woke up early to make breakfast. It was known that he barely made breakfast in the Wolf Continent. Alice held the responsibility of preparing meals for the Wolf Fang Clan.

However, not making meals often didn’t mean he wasn’t able to. As a child, he prepared meals for his master when he was living with him, and already built his cooking skills.

However, when he walked to the kitchen he found out that his mother-in-law was up and making breakfast already, and the meal was almost done.

It was so nice to have a mother-in-law. It was either him or Xue Lin making breakfast, but now Xiaoyun Mu took care of it.

Since breakfast was taken care of, Qingfeng Li hoped Xue Lin could sleep in, but Xue Lin insisted on getting up. As soon as they finished brushing and washing, breakfast was ready for them.

The breakfast was quite generous: millet porridge with Chinese yam and Goji berries, three steamed buns, and four dishes including two vegetables and two kinds of meats, which were well-sorted and full of nutrition.

Millet helped with digestion and the sweet taste of Chinese yam was good for nourishing without too much grease. Goji berries relieved dizziness, tinnitus, and weakness. The mix of all these food together was perfect for a patient who just got out of the hospital. Moreover, it was even good for normal people to stay healthier.

There was no doubt that Xiaoyun Mu did a really good job taking care of people. All the porridge and dishes were the best for Xue Lin.

Qingfeng Li took a bite, it tasted very delicious. It showed that his mother-in-law cooked a lot at home, as she handled the timing and heating perfectly.

“Mother-in-law, your food tastes really good.” Qingfeng Li praised with a smile.

“Qingfeng, if you like it I will make more for you later.” Xiaoyun Mu said and smiled. She was very delighted with her son-in-law.

Qingfeng Li mumbled and nodded his head, some part in his heart was melting.

This was the feeling of having a family, with the elder generation and a wife. His parents went missing when he was eight years old, and therefore, he never experienced care and warmth from his family.

Breakfast was finished not long after, and Xue Lin changed to a set of professional wear, put on high heels and was getting ready to leave.

“What are you doing?” Qingfeng Li asked.

“I’m going to work now.” Xue Lin replied and showed him a sweet bright smile.

“No, you just got out of the hospital. You aren’t ready to go back to work yet.”

“Can you just let me go? There are so many documents piled up in the corporation waiting for me to review and sign.”

“You aren’t fully recovered yet, you need some more rest at home.”

“Just let me go, I can always work less hard. Don’t you know medical skills? You can give me a massage when I get tired.” Xue Lin said with a smiling face.

Although she had a smile on her face, she was quite stubborn about her decision. Qingfeng Li knew that it was hard to persuade Xue Lin once she made her decision, so he gave in, but only if she let him drive.

Qingfeng Li and Xue Lin walked out of the villa and drove to the corporation in the BMW.

People were all shocked when they saw both of them show up in the corporation. They knew their CEO had a car accident but didn’t expect that she could come back in such a short time, which was incredibly surprising.

The CEO was indeed dedicated to her job. Everyone was staring at Xue Lin with great respect. The CEO played a critical role in the development of the company, as it was up to the CEO to lead the company to a better place.

They punched in, and Qingfeng Li walked Xue Lin to her office. He went back to the sales department after making sure Xue Lin was able to work.

It was fabulous to come back to work.

To some people, going to work could be a torture, but to Qingfeng Li, it was such a pleasure.

He hated the killing and fighting, and all he wanted was a peaceful life. The purpose of coming back from the Wolf Continent was to live his life peacefully.

He had quite a deep attachment to the sales department, as this was the first department he worked at when he came to the Eastern Sea City. He met many friends here, such as Wanqiu Xia and Xiaoyue Zhang.

It seemed he left for a long time to him even though he had just been away for over a week.

“Brother Li, you are back for work.” Seeing Qingfeng Li walk in the sales department, Xiaoyue Zhang blinked her eyes and said with great excitement.

Xiaoyue Zhang hadn’t had a chance to see Qingfeng Li during this time, and therefore she missed him a lot. The excitement in her eyes when she saw him back was completely unhidden.

“Haven’t seen you for a while, sister Xiaoyue. Did you miss me?” Qingfeng Li said with a big smile.

He had a great impression of this innocent girl as she was very nice.

Having a short conversation with Xiaoyue Zhang, Qingfeng Li walked towards his office desk. However, as he got close to his desk, he noticed that there was a young man sitting there already.

“Please move out of the way, this is my desk.” Qingfeng Li asked the young man politely.

Qingfeng Li was polite while the young man wasn’t l. He lifted his head, took a glance a Qingfeng Li, and then kept looking at the files without answering Qingfeng Li.

Qingfeng Li frowned, feeling annoyed as the young man ignored him while taking up his desk.

Bang!

Qingfeng Li reached out his right hand and smacked at the desk directly, he said, “this is my desk, please get out of the way.”

The sudden noise from the desk shocked the young man as he was reading the files, he even dropped the files in his hands.

“Who are you dude? Who said this is your desk?” the young man sneered and said arrogantly.

The young man was very arrogant that even Qingfeng Li got speechless. He was wondering who the hell was this dumbass, how dare he had the guts to act so recklessly.

To be honest, Qingfeng Li had never seen this young man before, he probably came to the corporation recently.

“Yong Huang, I told you this is Qingfeng Li’s desk and you can’t sit here.” Xiaoyue Zhang came and talked to the young man after hearing the argument.

“Xiaoyue, I noticed this desk had been empty for over a week, that’s why I sat here.” Yong Huang put a smile on his face seeing Xiaoyue Zhang, which was entirely different from the look he gave to Qingfeng Li.

Xiaoyue Zhang frowned, said in a cold voice, “don’t call me Xiaoyue, I don’t know you much. You should call me group leader Zhang. Plus, you should leave this desk now since Qingfeng Li is back.”

Yong Huang’s face twisted. Apparently it upset him when Xiaoyue Zhang asked him to leave.

“Group leader Zhang! I like this desk, so can you ask Qingfeng Li to take another desk?” Yong Huang frowned and replied.

Chapter 461: The Grandson of a Veteran Executive at the Company

 

What the hell, this is my desk, why should I move to somewhere else? It really pissed off Qingfeng Li that someone took his desk even though he had just been away for over a week. What a reckless man.

“I mean, is your brain damaged? Did you just have your brain eaten?” Qingfeng Li confronted Yong Huang, anger creeping in his voice.

“Having my brain eaten, what is that supposed to mean?” Yong Huang asked, feeling frustrated. He didn’t understand why taking up the desk had anything to do with his brain being eaten.

Qingfeng Li shrugged, he could tell this young man was just a dumbass. He had to explain to the young man since he had no idea what was going on.

“I mean that you are retarded because your brain was eaten. Isn’t it retarded of you to tell me to move somewhere else when my desk is here?” Qingfeng Li gave him a cold smile.

In Qingfeng Li’s opinion, he would be brought to the same level of intelligence if he talked to this young man who couldn’t even understand what “having someone’s brain eaten” meant.

Chufing!

The people in the sales department couldn’t help laughing when they heard Qingfeng Li’s explanation for retard. They all looked at Yong Huang with mockery. The way Qingfeng Li insulted him was remarkable, as Yong Huang so far had no idea he was being mocked. The people in the office didn’t get along with Yong Huang, since he got the job through some special relations. He had been holding his head high and looking down on others ever since he got the job. What made the men in the sales department even more annoyed was that he was trying to hit on Xiaoyue Zhang.

Although people were annoyed, they couldn’t show their opinions because of Yong Huang’s special relations. All they could do was holding their anger. Luckily, Qingfeng Li came back and dared to humiliate Yong Huang, which released lots of anger from the people’s hearts.

What, you called me retarded?

Yong Huang finally had some reactions hearing the surrounding people’s mocking. He was pissed that someone had called him a retard.

“Dude, do you know who I am? I need you to apologize to me right now.” Yong Huang got up and said, enraged.

“Of course I know who you are, you are a retard. Apologize? I never apologize to a retard.” Qingfeng Li waved his hand and said with disdain. He didn’t take Yong Huang seriously at all.

Yong Huang’s face turned ghastly pale, Qingfeng Li’s attitude made him even more annoyed, he said in a cold voice, “let me tell you, I’m the grandson of Tianxiang Huang, the founder of this corporation. If you dare to swear at me, be careful, because I will report that to the corporation and fire you.”

Hearing Yong Huang’s threats, Qingfeng Li burst into laughter while the others in the sales department remained silent. He was amused by Yong Huang, realizing how many dumbasses he had encountered this year.

“Wanna submit a report against me? Go ahead and get away from my desk.” Qingfeng Li sneered and answered coldly.

A domineering force came out of Qingfeng Li as he was talking, which was so intense that it scared Yong Huang’s face out of shape and terrified him to taking a step back.

“You just wait dude, I’m going to report to the CEO now.” Yong Huang gave a cold smile, left the sales department, heading to the CEO’s office.

What a dumbass. Qingfeng Li shrugged and sat down on his seat. However, all of Yong Huang’s belongings annoyed him.

Whoosh whoosh woosh…

Qingfeng Li picked up Yong Huang’s stuff and threw them all the way to the garbage bin. Seeing a clean desk made him feel happy again.

Xiaoyue Zhang was speechless after seeing what Qingfeng Li just did. She already knew that he was aggressive, since he kicked Bo Wang out of the office in the same way. However, it didn’t seem proper to throw all his stuff in the garbage bin. Yong Huang would probably be mad again seeing his stuff end up in the garbage bin.

“Sister Xiaoyue, is that retard’s grandfather someone influential?” Qingfeng Li asked.

He knew if someone dared to be so reckless in the corporation, then his background was complicated for sure. Otherwise, how could he have the guts to do so.

“Brother Li, who is the retard?” Xiaoyue Zhang blinked and asked.

“Yong Huang is the retard. I just said that, did you forget already?” Qingfeng Li looked at Xiaoyue Zhang in shock and answered with a smile.

Xiaoyue Zhang looked at Qingfeng Li but had nothing else to say. She didn’t understand why Qingfeng Li was still swearing at Yong Huang while he had gone away already.

“The retard’s grandfather, ooops, Yong Huang’s grandfather, Tianxiang Huang was privileged in the corporation. He is a veteran-level member on the executive board and is someone very influential.” Xiaoyue Zhang said after thinking for a while.

Qingfeng Li frowned. He understood someone was definitely incredible if Xiaoyue admitted to it.

“Sister Xiaoyue, can you explain the founder of the board of directors to me, like how senior that position is. What level is that compared with the CEO?” Qingfeng Li asked.

As a matter of fact, Qingfeng Li didn’t know much about the Ice Snow Corporation. The only thing he was aware of was that Xue Lin was the CEO. He had no clue on the founder of the board of directors.
