After hearing his response, Jiaojiao Liu hung up the phone in satisfaction.

Qingfeng Li walked out from the company, stopped a cab and directed it to the supermarket. There he bought a few things for Ruyan Liu.

It was a Sunday, and therefore, there were a lot of people at Walmart.

The number of people at the place provided a perfect opportunity for thieves.

In the crowd stood a suspicious looking man, his eyes staring at a girl. This man was around 20 years old, skinny and not too tall, only about 150cm and did not stand out much in the crowd.

His fingers though skinny, yet were very long. And between his fingers was a pair of silver white tweezers.

With his tweezers, he reached towards the pocket of the girl that he had been staring at. With lightning speed, he grabbed the phone in the girl’s pocket and put it in his own.

The entire process was completed in a matter of seconds. And the long-haired girl did not notice one bit as she continued with her conversation with the short haired girl next to her.

“Eh, Isn’t that Xiaoman Lu?” Qingfeng Li arrived just in time to see that the long-haired girl who had her phone stolen was Xiaoman Lu.

The two speaks out a little too loud thus Xiaoman Lu and the short haired girl notices them.

Xiaoman Lu turned her head and noticed Qingfeng Li. She was pleasantly surprised by her finding out and happily spoke out, “Big brother Li, why are you here?”

Since she hadn’t seen him in so long, she was very happy to see Qingfeng Li. She had been wanting to go to the Ice Snow Corporation to find him but to see him at the supermarket today was a very good surprise for her.

Xiaoman Lu thought that it might be fate for them to have met at the supermarket. Her face turned red and her heartbeat sped up with anticipation.

“Xiaoman, long time no see. How have you been?” Qingfeng Li responded to her.

“Brother Li, I’ve been pretty well. How come you haven’t been to our Jade Finger Emperor Spa Center lately?”

“Xiaoman, I’ve been super busy lately so I didn’t have much time to go visit.”

“Big brother Li, I was waiting for you for so long.”

As they continued their conversation, the skinny man moved his body and started preparing to escape. Just as he shifted his body to escape, Qingfeng Li quickly moved his foot to the left and stopped the man in his tracks.

“Kiddo, you better move aside. I’m not one to mess with.”

“I’ll let you move but not before you hand out the phone that you just stole.”

“I didn’t steal any phones. Stop accusing the innocent.” The man’s face changed with his accusation and loudly responded.

“Eh, where’d my phone go?” Xiaoman Lu suddenly spoke out as she realized that her phone had disappeared.

“Xiaoman, no need to search your pockets, your phone had been stolen by the skinny man.” Qingfeng Li pointed at the man.

Xiaoman Lu suddenly turned her eyes towards the man. Upon being examined, the man stepped back in alertness and loudly spoke out, “What are you looking at me for? Your phone wasn’t stolen by me.”

Qingfeng Li quickly stepped towards the man and reached for his pocket.

He turned his body rapidly in response but Qingfeng Li reached out and grabbed onto the man who tried to escape.

“You, you, you. You, let go of me!” The man’s face turned bright red as he stuttered out.

His neck had been grabbed tightly by Qingfeng Li making it difficult for him to breathe.

Qingfeng Li ignored the man and reaches into his pocket and pulls out the phone.

“Xiaoman Lu, this is your phone right?” He handed out the phone and asked.

“Big brother Li, that is my phone.” Xiaoman Lu happily replied. She did not expect to find her lost phone in the pockets of the skinny man.

Even though the phone itself was not worth much, the information contained within it was priceless to her. It contained her studying material collected over her years of studying.

Having been found out, the thief’s face turned pale white. He knew that he was doomed.

Thieves were most scared of being exposed on the spot. The thief had been stealing things for years but it was the first time that he had been caught red-handed.

To prevent him from escaping, Qingfeng Li broke one of the thief’s legs and handed him over to the security guard.

“Big brother Li, thank you for today. If not for you, my phone would have been lost for sure.” Xiaoman Lu spoke out with gratitude, her face turned red in the process.

In their university, there were a lot of guys chasing after Xiaoman Lu but she had always been very cold and distant. But just then, Xiaoman took the initiative in speaking to that man. It came as a surprise to the short-haired girl.

After bidding goodbye, Qingfeng Li left to buy gifts.

Qingfeng Li walked into the living room and spoke out, “Ruyan, I bought you a box of ejiao. You should eat some, it’s good for the body.”

It was already 7 in the evening. Qingfeng li naturally would not leave so he decided to have dinner at Ruyan Liu’s house.

As for cooking, Qingfeng Li decided to be the one who will make food. He would not make the 2 woman cook for him.

Arriving in the kitchen, he found that they had everything in stock. There were also lots of food in the fridge, meat, vegetables and even seafood.

There are only 3 people and 2 of them are women. Since the 2 women did not eat much so he only made 4 dishes. He made chicken, fish, cucumber and potato slices.

His cooking iwa very good, so very soon, the scent of food floated out of the kitchen and into the living room. The 2 women in the living room suddenly became extremely hungry after smelling the delicious scent.

“Sister, Brother-in-law’s cooking smells very good.” Jiaojiao Liu swallows a mouthful of saliva and she speaks out.

The three grabbed their chopsticks and began eating.

She ate so fast that her face has been stuffed full with food.

“Slow down, nobody is fighting with you.” Qingfeng Li smiles at her.

Jiaojiao Liu did not take in his advice and continued rapidly eating.

From next to her sat Ruyan Liu, who ate in a more ladylike fashion. But her speed in picking up the food, being faster than normal, still betrayed her liking in his food.

Chapter 478: Go to the Medical University

 

After finishing dinner, he walked towards Villa Number 13.

The two villas were very close so he arrived home very quickly. When he arrived, the light in the living room was still on. Both Xue Lin and Xiaoyun Mu were sitting in the living room waiting room waiting for him.

“Qingfeng, have you eaten dinner yet?” Xiaoyun Mu stood up and asked him.

Qingfeng Li nodded in response “Yes, I ate it already.”

Xiaoyun Mu walked towards the kitchen after hearing his response. She and Xue Lin were waiting for Qingfeng Li to come back home to have dinner together but now that Qingfeng told them that he ate already, she went to the kitchen to warm the food up for just her and Xue Lin.

After dinner, Xiaoyun Mu cleaned up the table and Qingfeng Li went to sit beside Xue Lin. “You don’t seem so happy today,” Qingfeng spoke out to Xue Lin.

Xue Lin frowned slightly and said, “I just got news today. There seems to be a problem with the contract between our company and the Phoenix corporation.”

A problem with the Phoenix corporation?

Qingfeng Li furrowed his brows, a look of confusion crossing his face. The CEO of the Phoenix Corporation was Yanzhi Pei, who was Qingfeng Li’s friend. He did not understand how a problem could have occurred.

“What exactly happened?” Qingfeng Li asks further.

“I’m not sure. The Phoenix Corporation sent people here today telling us that they want to terminate the contract.”

The collaboration of the Phoenix Corporation and the Ice Snow Corporation was signed by Yanzhi Pei and Qingfeng Li. Now that the Phoenix Corporation was terminating the contract, it made Xue Lin very displeased.

“Have you given Yanzhi Pei a call? What did she say?” Qingfeng Li asked her. He did not think that Yanzhi Pei would do such a thing. Even though they had not been in contact for a long time, he did not think that Yanzhi Pei was that type of person.

“I did, but she did not pick up. Maybe she changed numbers.” Xue Lin depressingly replied.

Qingfeng Li took out his phone and calls Yanzhi Pei. His phone displays that the number being called was no longer in use.

Qingfeng Li frowned. He did not seem to understand. Even if she did switch numbers, normally he would be notified but since he had not been notified, he found it a bit strange.

“When will the people from the Phoenix Corporation come again?” Qingfeng Li continues questioning.

“They said that they will send representatives to our company a few days later.”

“Okay, I will go and see their representative then and see what is going on.”

“Perfect. I will let you handle it then.” Xue Lin smiled in response.

She was very confident in Qingfeng Li’s abilities. He had helped resolve a lot of conflicts within the company.

The two talks a bit more and went to bed. Even though they slept on the same bed and they have done a few things, they have yet to reach the last step yet. He decided to wait another month before they reached the final step.

The next morning, just as the sun rose, the couple got up from bed.

They were both morning risers and did not sleep too late. After having breakfast, the two parted ways. Xue Lin left for work and Qingfeng Lin left for the Medical University. He had agreed the day before to visit Xiaoman Lu at the medical university.
