Chapter 532: Champion of the Antique Competition

 

“Huh, so it is a dagger from the Warring States if you said it is? How are you going to prove it?” Feiyan asked Qingfeng while sneering.

She didn’t want Qingfeng to win the game since she didn’t like him. It would be a pleasant thing for her if he lost too.

After all, the loser would have to apologize to the other as they had a bet. It’d be shameful and embarrassing.

Qingfeng knew that Feiyan Liu would try to give him a hard time, so he was already prepared.

“Feiyan Liu, let me ask you, you should have heard that Madam Xu was a famous sword artist and the swords she made would turn red once they come into contact with blood, right?” Qingfeng looked at Feiyan while sneering. Yet, it was a chilling sneer.

“If so, then I’m going to test it by using your blood.”

Qingfeng rushed right at front of Feiyan rapidly and slightly scratched her face with the dagger while she was panic. The dagger turned completely red once it contacted with the blood.

“It is authentic, the dagger is authentic. It is the one Madam Xu made during the Warring States.”

“This Qingfeng dude is incredible. He dared to test the dagger with Feiyan’s blood.”

“Oh Jeez, this young man was a bit impulsive. He’s going to get into trouble with Feiyan even though he proved the authenticity of the dagger.”

The crowd burst into discussion and many people were amazed with how intelligent Qingfeng was that he proved the authenticity of the dagger, yet, they were also mocking his impulsivity simultaneously.

You could certainly prove the authenticity of the dagger, but why would you scratch Feiyan’s face while you could scratch others among this huge crowd?

“Qingfeng, you jerk. I won’t let it end like this,” Feiyan roared furiously while covering her face.

As a woman, her beautiful face was her life. She would definitely be mad to have her face scratched by Qingfeng.

Qingfeng simply ignored Feiyan since this woman always got him into trouble first. He would have killed her if he didn’t plan to spare her life so that he could have her apologize to Xue Lin and the Ice Snow Corporation. What position did she have to roar like a crazy sow?

“Judge Lei Tang, now I have proved the dagger is authentic, could you announce the winner now?” Qingfeng asked while smiling faintly.

Lei Tang took a deep breath and announced loudly, “The winner of the Antique Competition in Hu Jiang Province this year is—Qingfeng Li!”

The lobby burst into applause once the Lei Tang finished his words.

Beast, he was definitely the beast of the year. Before the competition has started, nobody approved Qingfeng and all expected him to lose. Now, he turned the table on everyone and actually won the competition.

All the reporters rushed to the stage and surrounded Qingfeng in a flash. They pointed dozens of microphones in his face and wanted to interview him.

All the reporters kept asking Qingfeng crazily and hoped that they could receive his answer.
However, Qingfeng ignore all of them yet took the microphone of Xiaoli Wang and asked, “Xiaoli, do you have any questions for me?”

Xiaoli was thrilled and didn’t expect Qingfeng actually took her microphone after winning the competition.

Qingfeng smiled and approved Xiaoli with his gaze. His main purpose to participate the Antique Competition was to win the game and have Feiyan apologize to Xue Lin and Ice Snow Corporation in public. What Xiaolu asked at the moment was exactly what he asked for.

Qingfeng thought for a while and said proudly with the microphone, “I guess everyone has known the bet between Feiyan and I, right? Feiyan would have to apologize to Xue Lin and Ice Snow Corporation if I won the antique competition.”

Qingfeng tried to speak as loud as possible so that everyone in the lobby could hear him. Everyone looked at Feiyan curiously and wondered whether this woman would apologize.

“Xue Lin, I’m sorry. It’s my bad to have wronged you and the Ice Snow Corporation. Please accept my apology,” Feiyan said to Xue Lin.

She fled away once she finished her sentence since she felt extremely embarrassed for apologizing to Xue Lin in front of hundreds of people.

“You are such a jerk, Qingfeng Li. I won’t just let it end like this,” Feiyan glared at Qingfeng viciously before leaving.

Qingfeng walked up to Xue Lin and smiled, “Fortunately but not despicably, I am champion of the Antique Competition.”

“You are awesome,” Xue Lin raised her big thumb at Qingfeng while praising him with a faint admiration.

in fact, Xue Lin used to be highly arrogant and would never admire or look up to anyone. Yet, she started to admire Qingfeng since she was surprised that Qingfeng had actually beat Feiyan.

“Qingfeng, thank you for beating Feiyan and redeeming my dignity,” Yunchang Xu also said gratefully.

At the same time last year, Yunchang was defeated and humiliated by Feiyan when he came for to participate Antique Competition that made him feel extremely ashamed. Now, his revenge was finally taken after seeing her being beaten by Qingfeng.

Chapter 533: Disappearance of Yanzhi Pei

 

All the media and TV Stations continued reporting that Qingfeng won the antique competition, which made him a little celebrity.

Qingfeng’s phone suddenly rang while he was being interviewed. He was shocked once he saw the screen since it was from Red Butterfly Yip.

“Red Butterfly, what’s up?” Qingfeng pressed the answer button and asked.

He knew there must be something wrong as long as he was called by Red Butterfly since she usually wouldn’t call him if there was no emergency.

“Wolf King, we just saw somebody was chasing and trying to kill Jing Tang and she was saved by us, But she is severely injured so now she is in the emergency room in the hospital,” Red Butterfly said urgently.

Jing Tang?

Qingfeng freaked out since he knew who she was. She was Yanzhi’s secretary and she was the one who was driving Yanzhi when she came to Eastern Sea City.

Jing Tang must know where Yanzhi was. If she was chased by someone, then Yanzhi must be in danger now.

“Where are you? I’ll be right there,” Qingfeng said anxiously.

“I’m in the People’s hospital in Beiyang City.”

“Which room on which floor?”

“Room 5 at the 3rd floor.”

“Alright, wait for me. I’ll be going there now,” Qingfeng hung up as he finished speaking.

Qingfeng rejected the interviews and got in Yunchang’s car with Xue Lin before heading to the hospital.

Although Qingfeng had never been to the Beiyang City, they wouldn’t get lost since they had a GPS in the car and they just simply needed to dial the address of the People’s hospital.

Qingfeng was speeding because he was worried, and they arrived at the hospital in less than an hour.

He parked the car and rushed to room 5 with Xue Lin.

Meanwhile, in room 5, several doctors and nurses were rescuing Jing Tang and Red Butterfly was guarding the room.

“Wolf King, you’re finally here,” Red Butterfly Yip rushed up and said respectfully when she saw Qingfeng.

Qingfeng nodded and said, “Tell me how injured Jing Tang is?”

“Jing Tang was being attacked by a man in black. That man’s martial arts were incredible and he seemed to be at least an “AAA” level ace. Fortunately, I arrived on time and Jing Tang only got stabbed in her stomach. Her artery was injured and she is being treated now,” Red Butterfly briefly explained the condition of Jing tang and the situation.

AAA Level ace?

Qingfeng frowned and felt something was a bit strange. Honestly, Jing Tang was just a female secretary that could even be knocked down by a regular guy. Who would send such a formidable ace to kill this vulnerable woman?

“What about that man in black?”Qingfeng asked.

He knew the whole point was the man in black now. As long as they caught him, they could easily find out who was controlling everything behind the scene and find out where Yanzhi Pei is.

Red Butterfly shook her head and said, “I’m sorry, he moved very fast and escaped.”

Qingfeng looked disappointed. They had lost one clue since the man in black was gone. That being said, there was only one clue left at the moment, which was Jing Tang. They hope that she could tell them where Yanzhi was, once she woke up.

The surgery lasted more than one hour since Jing Tang was severely injured. It would take a while before she regained consciousness.

“President Xu, it’s not good for your health to stay in the hospital since you’re a senior. Why not take some rest in the hotel first? We can go back to Eastern Sea City together when this thing is done,” Qingfeng asked.

Yunchang did feel a bit exhausted since he was already in his 70s. Age was a problem.

“Alright then, I’ll take a nap in the hotel. Let me know when you guys are ready to go back to Eastern Sea City,” Yunchang smiled and walked back to the hotel.

Qingfeng asked Red Butterfly Yip to go with him since he worried about letting him leave alone.

“Xue Lin, do you want to take a nap?” Qingfeng asked.

Xue Lin shook her head and implied she didn’t need to since she was still really concerned about Yanzhi.

Xue Lin had good impressions of Yanzhi since she helped her company a lot when she partnered up with her before.

“You two wait for me here, I’m going to get some water,” Qingfeng said to them.

Since no drinking water was provided in the operation room, Qingfeng would have to get water from another room.

Qingfeng saw someone he knew when he was getting water. This person wasn’t anyone else but Xiaoli Wang.

“Huh, Xiaoli, why are you here?” Qingfeng asked confusedly.

He remembered clearly that Xiaoli was just interviewing him in the Phoenix Corporation a while ago, what brought her to the hospital within such a short amount of time.

Yet, he found that she didn’t look well based on her pale face.

“My sister is sick and is living in the hospital now. I’m coming to visit her and to tell her that you’ve won the antique competition,” Xiaoli said in a heavy tone.

“How sick is your sister, Xiaomei?” Qingfeng asked since he could tell that it wasn’t something light based on her voice.

Xiaoli looked hopeless and replied, “The doctor said it is really bad. She got cancer and won’t live more than 3 months.”

What? Cancer? Won’t live more than 3 months?

Qingfeng freaked out. He liked that girl since they had participated the antique competition together before. He didn’t expect that she would be diagnosed with cancer at such a young age. What a poor girl.

“Xiaoli, what room is your sister in, I’ll go to visit her later,” Qingfeng said since he still wanted to spend some times with Xiaomei as her friend.

Xiaoli looked grateful once she heard Qingfeng was going to visit her sister, “Thank you, you are the one Xiaomei wants to see the most. She must be really glad that you would want to spend time seeing her.

Qingfeng smiled and got the room number of where Xiaomei was. He then went back to give the water to Xue Lin and Red Butterfly.

Qingfeng explained the situation to Xue Lin and then went downstairs to buy a fruit basket. Later, he was heading towards room 10.

At the moment, in room 10.

Xiaomei was getting excited while lying on the bed, “Sister, you just met Qingfeng and he said he was coming to visit me later?”

“Yes, he’ll be coming. You can’t be too excited, you are still sick,” Xiaoli asked her sister. She felt heartbroken when she saw her sister’s pale face.

Even though Xiaomie’s pretty face looked pale, she still had some redness on her cheeks since she couldn’t hold her excitement.

Xiao replied as she almost cried, “I was diagnosed with uterine cancer by Dr. Liu. He said I wouldn’t be able to live more than 3 months.”

Qingfeng was familiar with Chinese Medicine and knew Uterine Cancer was also known as Endometrial Carcinoma. It was a rather rare woman’s health disease and was extremely hard to treat.

“That white-gown, what’s your name?” Qingfeng asked while staring at the junior doctor.

The junior doctor didn’t notice Qingfeng until now, he still replied to Qingfeng even if he was not content with the way Qingfeng asked him. “My name is Ming Liu, I’m Xiaomei’s doctor.”

“Ming Liu, right? I think you are high now. Who told you that Xiaomei had cancer? What did you learn in class? How did you even graduate?” Qingfeng sneered sarcastically at the junior doctor.

Ming Liu was mad when he heard what Qingfeng said, “What do you mean? I am the one who diagnosed cancer form Xiaomei. I just finished my grad school at the University of Medicine this year.”

“Huh, I’m telling you. the tumor in Xiaomei’s body isn’t malignant, it is a benign one! What the heck did you diagnose it with? Did you cheat throughout school?” Qingfeng sneered viciously as he glared at the junior doctor.

Qingfeng was so mad, and even felt furious about Ming Liu. Thank god he happened to visit Xiaomei today, otherwise, she would waste her life in the treatment by this stupid ass.

What? I don’t have cancer?

Xiaomie looked astonished and surprised. Aren’t I diagnosed with cancer by Dr. Liu? Why would big brother Li oppose it?

Qingfeng explained to Xiaomei since she seemed confused for what he said, “Xiaomei, you are indeed, sick, but your tumor is benign, not malignant. I can treat it for you.”

Qingfeng nodded and said, “How would I lie to you with something concerning your life?”

Ming Liu didn’t seem quite happy about this. I just diagnosed Xiaomei with cancer and you said I was wrong, what do you mean? Are you trying to go against me and look down on me?

“Qingfeng Li, my result was proven by medical equipment! Xiaomei does have cancer. You are making things up and I won’t allow this irresponsibility to happen,” Ming Liu yelled at Qingfeng while looking gloomy.

Chapter 535: Curing Xiaomei Wang

 

“Ming Liu, I can cure Xiaomei. Instead, you are just harming her even though you try to make it seem like you’re helping her,” Qingfeng sneered while looking at him sarcastically.

Although Qingfeng had never been to any hospitals nor been a doctor, he was sure that two requirements had to be met to be qualified as a doctor in a hospital. First, you have to be an exceptional medical professional with a tremendous wealth of experience. Secondly, you have to be either a senior medical professor or a retired medical expert.

New graduates like Ming Liu would only be given one position in the hospital — as an intern, who were the ones that assisted the chief doctor.

However, Ming Liu had become Xiaomei’s chief doctor once he started working in the hospital. It was obvious that he got this position through networking.

“Ming Liu, I wonder who assigned you to become the chief doctor?”

“This is not your business, you don’t need to know.”

“Oh, yeah? But how could I disregard it if it concerns other’s lives? If I guessed it right, you became the chief doctor through your connections, right? I don’t think you are qualified with your medical expertise and skills yet.”

Ming Liu freaked out as Qingfeng guessed it right. He obtained this position by pulling some strings. Otherwise, he would never be able to hold this position.

Qingfeng nodded and replied, “Yes, I can.”

“Yes, I do,” Xiaomei nodded as she responded.

Xiaomei knew this man was reliable when she looked into his sincere eyes. This man always kept his words just as how he has told her that he would win the antique competition.
