Even though Ruyan Liu did not know much about Chinese herbs, she trusted Qingfeng. If Qingfeng said that the herbs were too expensive, the herbs must be too expensive.

“I need a large amount of these herbs. Can you give me a cheaper price?’ Ruyan Liu asked.

Because of his past successful attempts, Dacai Sun’s actions have become bolder. He would try to get some advantages from any beauties who walked into the store. He had set his eyes on Ruyan Liu.

“Dacai Sun, who do you think you are?,” Qingfeng said with a cold smile as he walked towards Dacai Sun.

At the moment, he was furious. He has decided to teach Dacai Sun a lesson.

“Fellow, this is my territory. What do you want to do?” Qingfeng said loudly when he saw Qingfeng walking towards him.

“I am going to give you a beating. A bastard like you must have taken advantage of countless women. I will help avenge them today,” Qingfeng said coldly.

Dacai Sun’s expression changed. He finally realized that Qingfeng wanted to give him a beating.

The commotion was quite loud and attracted the attention of everyone in the store. Everyone gathered around them to witness the spectacle.

However, the store was the largest store in the Market. It had the biggest selection of herbs and some specialty herbs that other stores did not stock. Thus, the customers have no choice but to purchase the herbs from this store.

The customers applauded in their heart when they saw Qingfeng giving Dacai Sun a beating. However, they were also worried for Qingfeng since this was Dacai Sun’s territory.

“Security, security! This guy gave me a beating. Beat him up!” Dacai Sun said to the security guards of the store.

The dozen security guards rushed towards Qingfeng and encompassed him when they heard Dacai Sun’s words.

Everyone’s expression changed when they saw the sight. They could predict the sad fate of the young man. A dozen men vs one man. Even if Qingfeng did not die, he would be lying in the hospital bed for a few months.

“You guys are looking to die.” Qingfeng’s eyes flashed coldly as he looked at the security guards.

Qingfeng’s body moved like a flash of lightning. In an instant, he arrived before the first security. Amidst the security’s stunned gaze, he grabbed onto the security guard’s baton.

“Release my baton.” The first guard screamed nervously because he couldn’t get his baton back from Qingfeng Li no matter how hard he tried.

The crowds’ mouths were all opened because they were filled with disbelief. They thought Qingfeng Li was going to be castigated by the guards, but the guards were reprimanded by him instead.
Qingfeng Li smiled and walked towards Dacai Sun.

“You. What do you want?” Dacai Sun said with fear.

“What do you think. You just asked your guards to break my legs off. Now it is time for me to return the favor.” Qingfeng Li smiled, but his smile was like the devil. Everyone was shivering in fear.
Dacai Sun screamed in pain because Qingfeng Li broke his legs.

It was 7:00 pm after they finished shopping for medicine. Qingfeng Li dropped Ruyan Liu back home.

“Brother-in-law, you came?” Jiaojiao Liu said passionately after she saw Qingfeng Li and her sister came back.

Qingfeng Li nodded and walked into the kitchen. He cooked four dishes, two types of meat and two vegetables. Then he cooked another pot of congee.

In a short moment, the room was filled with delicious smells. Jiaojiao Liu was screaming that she was hungry and rushed into the kitchen to bring the dishes out.

Qingfeng Li’s dishes were too tasty and were finished in matters of seconds.

“I am so full.” Ruyan Liu petted her stomach and said.

“Ruyan, you should go on a diet.” Qingfeng Li said.

Ruyan Liu wasn’t happy and said, “I am skinny; I don’t need to lose weight.”

“I am going to sleep.” Ruyan Liu glared at Qingfeng Li and went upstairs to sleep.

Qingfeng Li was baffled. He only said she got fatter, why would she get so angry. He didn’t know why she was so pissed.

Qingfeng Li stopped, then he nodded and said, “Thank you for that. So what do you want me to do?”

“Brother-in-law, I want to go to the bar and have a drink with you.” Jiaojiao Liu said. She didn’t go to the bar for a long time and wanted to go tonight. Coincidently Qingfeng Li was here so she wanted him to tag along.

Qingfeng Li drove to the bar with Jiaojiao Liu in his Maserati.

Qingfeng drove Jiaojiao to the Dream Bar at 8 pm.

Dream Bar was one of the most popular bars in the Eastern Sea City. Many people came here to drink, sing and have fun. Loads of fancy cars were parked at the gate.

Qingfeng almost felt his eardrums break from the blaring music when he just entered the bar. Lots of young guys and girls were dancing crazily in the dance floor and were extremely hyper.

“Teacher, you are here!” the bartender chick greeted Qingfeng excitedly when he came in, as she was obviously thrilled to see her teacher.

“Should I call you Coco or Lingmeng?” Qingfeng asked.

“Teacher, my real name is Lingmeng and Coco is my nick name. You can call me whatever you want,” the bartender girl replied shyly. She was always wild, yet, whenever she saw Qingfeng, she’d be shy and her heart rate would increase for no reason.

“I’ll call you Lingmeng then, it is a beautiful name that matches the bar,” Qingfeng said while smiling.

“Lingmeng, you are biased to my brother-in-law now. How could you forget me? I’m the one who brought Qingfeng here,” Jiaojiao peeked at Lingmeng as she said angrily.

“Jiaojiao, don’t be mad. I’ll get you both a glass of delicious cocktail,” Lingmeng smiled and said.

Lingmeng was actually very grateful to Jiaojiao since she wouldn’t have Qingfeng become her teacher and learn how to make the Cupid’s Arrow cocktail if Jiaojiao didn’t bring him here last time. Now, the bar has more customers because many people would come here mostly for the cocktail.

Lingmeng took out two wine glass and poured 30ml Vodka, 30ml peach liquor, 60ml Pineapple juice and 60ml berry juice into each glass respectively and mixed them up after putting in the ice.

Soon, two glasses of Cupid’s Arrow cocktail were ready to go. They were shining under the dim light in the bar.

“Teacher, let me know how the cocktail tastes,” Lingmeng looked at Qingfeng nervously.

Although she already knew how to make the Cupid’s Arrow cocktail and was approved by lots of customers, she still wanted to be approved by her teacher the most.

Qingfeng took the glass and took a sip. It was sweet and sour and had a spicy kick to it, which made the perfect combination.

“Lingmeng, this is a great cocktail,” Qingfeng complimented while smiling. The reason why Qingfeng taught Lingmeng how to make the cocktail was because she kept insisting learning and he couldn’t push her away. He didn’t expect this little apprentice actually had a talent and could make such a good cocktail.

“Lingmeng, Jiaojiao, you guys drink first, I need to go to the washroom first,” Qingfeng walked towards the washroom after notifying the girls.

He had to pee out the amount of drinks he had tonight.

When Qingfeng just went into the washroom, the bar door was pushed open aggressively. A middle-aged man came into the bar while leading a group of gangsters.

Qilang started to search the reason why his bar began losing customers after he started to pay more money to cover the lost. He figured out that the owner of the Dream Bar, Liuli Su and the bartender Lingmeng had created a new drink that attracted all the customers. Therefore, he decided to disturb their business.

“Liuli Su, come out to me. I’m going to challenge your bar today,” Qilang announced loudly that everyone has heard his voice.

“Qilang, what do you want, are you trying to disturb our business?” a charming woman came down from the second floor.

This woman was around 40 years old. Although she was in her middle age, she looked quite stunning with her fair skin tone and red lips. You could barely see any wrinkles on her face which also indicated that she must have had spend a lot of effort to take care of her skin and body.

She was wearing a red dress that illustrated her curves. The red stilettos she was wearing also increased her attractiveness.

This beautiful woman wasn’t someone else, she was the owner of the Dream Bar, Liuli Su.

Qilang’s attention was caught when he saw this beautiful woman, but he immediately regained his anger once he recalled his customers were all stolen by her.

Liuli Su, you stole all my customers. We have to talk about this serious issue today.”

“Qilang Jiang, You are being unreasonable. Your customers came here voluntarily, I didn’t force them.”

“Liuli Su, I don’t care. Now all my customers have come to your place, You better compensate me,” Qilang said while laughing faintly.

Liuli Su slightly lifted her gorgeous brows since she was obviously pissed by this man. She didn’t expect this dude would actually count his customer lost on her rather than his failing business.

Liuli Su wanted to get mad but she was intimidated by those dozens of gangsters behind Qilang Jiang. She knew that this dude was also a hooligan besides owning a bar and had many minion gangsters. Her bar would be crashed if she got into trouble with him.

“Qilang, what do you want? I can compensate you 10,000 Yuan,”Liuli Su said.

“Only 10,000 Yuan? Liuli Su, are you kidding me?”

“If you think it’s not enough, I can pay you more, 100,000 Yuan.”

“Liuli Su, let me be straight with you. I need no money from you but only one person.”

“Who do you want?”

“I want Lingmeng,” Qilang pointed at Lingmeng and said.

Qilang knew Lingmeng won all the customers’ heart and made them come to Dream Bar with her Cupid’s Arrow cocktail. If he could bring her over to his bar, he must have more customers coming over.

Liuli Su frowned as she knew what Qilang was contemplating. Yet, she wouldn’t give Lingmeng to anyone since she was her treasure for the bar.

“Qilang, give me another deal. I wouldn’t give Lingmeng to you anyway,” Liuli Su affirmed.

Qilang laughed bitterly to her, “Mrs. Lingmeng, I hope you could leave Dream Bar and come to our Men’s Bar. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee you could walk on the street without getting beat up.”

Chapter 549: Challenging Lingmeng

 

Lingmeng felt threatened and took several steps back after hearing what Qilang said.

“Qilang Jiang, what are you doing? How dare you threaten my bartender?” Liuli’s face turned dark and looked discontentedly.

She didn’t expect that this dude would be such an asshole, threatening Lingmeng in front of her as if she wasn’t there.

“Liuli Su, let’s put everything on the table. I’m here to disturb your business today. You either give Lingmeng to us or we will smash your bar,” Qilang said arrogantly while pointed at the gangsters behind him.

In terms of the securities at the bar, they were all knocked down by the gangs before they even came in.

Liuli Su yelled while looking at them furiously,” Qilang Jiang, you are such a shameless ass. I’ll never give Lingmeng to you.”

“If you don’t give us Lingmeng, I can let this go as long as you can sleep with me for one night,” Qilang sneered profanely.

“Qilang, you wish! It will never happen.”

“Alright, then I’m going to smash your bar.”

“Don’t do it!” Liuli Su freaked out.

Qilang laughed insidiously as he said, “Liuli Su, I can give you the last chance. I just hired a new bartender and if Lingmeng can beat him, I’ll leave and will never get into trouble with your bar again. But if she doesn’t, then she will have to be our bartender and you will have to be my woman. Do you accept this bet?”

Liuli Su freaked out when she heard what Qilang said and started to weigh the risks about this bet. Lingmeng was the top bartender in the Dream Bar as well as a one of the most famous ones in Eastern Sea City. No one should be able to beat her.

“Qilang, I’ll take your challenge and let your bartender compete with Lingmeng, but I hope you will keep your words,” Liuli said.

Liuli had to take Qilang’s challenge since that was the only way to have a chance to win. He would definitely smash her bar and take Lingmeng away from her if she rejected him. This was what hooligans do: they do what the want and never consider consequences.

Qilang looked satisfied. In fact, the real reason he came to the bar today was to let his new bartender compete against Lingmeng. All the work he did so far was merely to scare everyone in the bar and set up this bet.

“Tao Jiang, come out here. Compete with Lingmeng with your bartending skills,” Qilang smiled while telling the person behind him to come out.

“Sure, cousin,” a young man in his 20s came to the front.

This young man had an average body shape. He was wearing a casual outfit and somehow looked similar to Qilang. He was Qilang’s cousin, Tao Jiang.

Tao Jiang had just came back from a foreign country. He had been a bartender in a bar overseas and had perfected his alcohol mixing skills. He mainly came back to help his cousin this time.

Tao Jiang’s attention was caught by the beauty of Lingmeng when he saw her. He said to Qilang, “Cousin, I’m getting Lingmeng if I win the competition.”

Qilang nodded and said, “No problem, Lingmeng is yours and Liuli is mine. We each get one.”

Lingmeng was irritated when he heard what Tao Jiang said. She started to have an intense distaste for this guy.

Everyone in the bar started to gather and was ready to watch this competition when they heard someone had challenged Lingmeng.

“Guys, who do you think would win this game, Lingmeng or Tao?

“Lingmeng, obviously. The cocktail she made is undefeatable.”

“Right, I think the same. I came to the Dream Bar for her.”

“Tao Jiang? I haven’t even heard of this dude. We all support Lingmeng.”

The bar burst into discussions. Most of the customers stood on the team of Lingmeng and believed she would win.

While hearing so many people supporting herself, Lingmeng’s little face blushed. She felt slightly nervous and thrilled as this was her first time competing with someone.

“Meng, good luck! You got this.” Jiaojiao cheered for Lingmeng while raising her fist.

Lingmeng nodded with confidence. Her only regret was that Qingfeng would miss her show since he went to the washroom. How nice it would be if he could witness her competing against other with her mixing skills.

“Ms. Lingmeng, you go first,” Tao Jiang said after he walked to the bartender area.

He let Lingmeng start first since he was confident about the mixing skills he learned overseas.

Lingmeng nodded and took out a goblet. She poured 30ml Vodka, 30ml Peach liquor, 60ml pineapple juice and 60ml berry juice in the glass and mixed everything with ice.

Soon, a glass of delicious Cupid’s Arrow cocktail was ready. The red heart in the drink was penetrated by a sharp arrow, which made it look spectacular.

“Wow, what a brilliant Cupid’s Arrow cocktail! The winner must be Ms. Lingmeng.”

“Right, Ms. Lingmeng did a great job this time.”

“See? The cocktail Lingmeng has kept its color for 5 minutes now. Ms. Lingmeng will definitely win the competition.”

Everyone was amazed by Lingmeng and kept complimenting her mixing skills.

“Nice, nice. I didn’t know you could make one of the top ten cocktails in the world,” Tao Jiang clapped for Lingmeng and slightly admired her work.

Mixology was what he specialized in when he was overseas which required lots of work. He knew how to make this Cupid’s Arrow cocktail but he decided to make another one that could make his mixing skills stand out since he was trying to beat Lingmeng.

“Tao Jiang, seems like you do know something about liquor as you could tell what cocktail it is. But I had just made the best one I have ever made, so you’ll definitely lose,” Lingmeng said proudly since she wasn’t scared of Tao Jiang as she had completely mastered the Cupid’s Arrow cocktail from Qingfeng.

“Ms. Lingmeng, you are wrong. The Cupid’s Arrow cocktail is only ranked as the tenth best cocktail in the world. Now, I’m going to show you the top ninth place – the Dry Martini cocktail,” Tao Jiang replied confidently.

Lingmeng and other people looked skeptical when she heard what Tao Jiang said. The world’s ninth best cocktail was an extremely tough masterpiece that barely anyone in Eastern Sea City could make. Could this dude really know how to make it?

Dry Martini, as what it sounds like (TL: in Chinese), turns the liquor into the shape of a pegasus after being pouring it into the goblet. It was way harder than the Cupid’s Arrow cocktail. The ingredients of this cocktail was: 1 single dry gin, one teaspoon of dry vermouth, one cocktail olive, one bottle of martini and some ice.

Tao Jiang took out a goblet and respectively poured the dry vermouth, martini and some ice in first. He then raised up his goblet and shook it in the air.

He shook so rapidly that the only thing everyone could see was an arch in the air.
