Chapter 641: Convenience Store’s Owner

“Qingfeng, this winter is too cold. Have some alcohol and warm yourself up.” Shi Lin took a sip of tea and felt a little weird. His body felt a chill so he told Qingfeng Li to have some alcohol.

Cold?

Xue Lin frowned. The air conditioner was on HOT in the living room and the heater is on. This temperature could not be any better. How can it be cold?

The truth was, her father jsut wanted to have some alcohol. He liked to drink so much he had to have some everyday at home. Sometimes he drinks by himself and other times he drinks with friends.

Xue Lin was not a fan of alcohol. She was even a little against it. When she was little, her dad would always go crazy after drinking too much. She did not like the smell of alcohol nor did she like when others drank. But now that her dad mentioned, she had to let him have this one.

Qingfeng Li sure noticed Xue Lin’s worrying. But his father in law hadn’t visited them for quite a while and now was a good chance for him to play the good man card.

“Dad, wait a moment, I’ll go get some alcohol.” Qingfeng Li said and left the house. He had to go get some more since the alcohol they owned had already been finished a long time ago.

Noble Palace was a high-end place so there was no convenience store or anywhere he could buy alcohol from. So in order to get some, he had to get out of there.

Luckily there was a convenience store at the entrance of the community, called Noble Convenience store. Even though it is named after the community, it was run by someone in the next community.

The owner’s name was Wanru Xu, a widow in her thirties. Her husband died in an accident, which was where she got a large amount of money from.

She could have had a happy and settled life with this amount of money. But her in-laws were very sick and needed to be taken care of. She never re-married in order to take care of them and opened up this convenience store at the door of Noble Palace. On one hand, it was convenient for her to take care of them. On the other hand, she also has something to do.

Qingfeng Li had been here before so he was familiar with the place. Wanru Xu was putting things on the shelf when he walked in.

Wanru Xu had a pretty face. Her eyes shined like two pools of water and her red lips were sexy like a fresh cherry. The white dress she was wearing showed all the beautiful curves on her body. A woman in her thirties was the most sexiest of them all.

The shelf might have been too high for her. Wanru Xu lost her balance trying to put a few bottles of wine on the shelf and fell towards the ground. Not only that, the bottles on the shelf started to fall off towards her as well. In this case, not only would she fall onto the floor but she may also get injured when the wine bottles falls onto the ground.

Qingfeng Li saw this scene just when he walked into the store. Of course he wouldn’t let Wanru Xu get hurt.

Qingfeng Li was already beside Wanru Xu in a blink of eye. He held her around her waist and easily caught the falling bottles like a magic show. Then he put them back onto the shelf.

Wanru Xu thought she was going to fall but then she fell into the arms of a man. The manly smell of his body was setting her off and made her blush like crazy. Her heart beat at a very fast speed as well.

She had never gotten so close to any man ever since her husband passed away, not to mention someone this handsome. She had trouble standing herself up.

Qingfeng Li was feeling a little awkward. He only came to get some alcohol for his father in law and now he helped her out of sympathy since he saw her falling. And now she wouldn’t get out of his arms.

It was alright if she didn’t want to get up. But what’s important is that when he caught her, his palm landed right onto her butt, which was a special yet awkward position.

“What are you doing?” Someone said from behind them when Qingfeng Li was going to put her down.

It was a young man in his twenties, with his hair dyed into bright yellow and arms covered with tattoo. From the first glimpse, you could tell he is not a decent person.

“Sister in law, I didn’t know you are like this. How are you falling around with a man!”He smirked.

“Ping Yang, don’t be absurd. I was about to fall and this man helped me out.”Wanru Xu clumsily got out of Qingfeng Li’s arm and said loudly.

Wanru Xu knew that Ping Yang was her deceased husband’s younger brother. He did nothing all day but gambling. Not a good character after all.

“Sister in law, I did not expect you to hook up with another man so fast now that my brother had just passed away. If he knew, I’m sure as hell he would climb out of his coffin out of anger.” Ping Yang said with a sneaky tone.

“Ping Yang, enough with the nonsense. He saved me just now and that’s all.”

“Saved you, you think you can fool me like a three-year-old. Then what was the deal with laying in his arm just now?”

“I, I, I…”

“I what? Sister in law? No excuses now? I won’t say anything if you hand over the million Yuan from my brother’s accident.” Ping Yang smirked secretly.

As a matter of fact, Ping Yang wanted more than the money. He wanted to have her body too. But he didn’t mention it since Qingfeng Li was still there.

“Ping Yang, that money is to take care of mom, I can’t give it to you.” Wanru Xu frowned and rejected directly.

“Sis-in-law, if you don’t give me the money I’ll tell mom that you are taking care of a sugar baby and spending all the compensation from the accident on your boy toy.” Ping Yang pointed at Qingfeng Li.

Sugar baby? Boy toy?

Qingfeng Li wasn’t happy about this comment. He only came here for a couple bottles of alcohol, and saved her out of a coincidence, and now he was called a boy toy.

Of course, Qingfeng Li got the idea from their conversation. This Ping Yang wants to take the million Yuan compensation and Wanru Xu won’t give it to him since she needs to take care of the mother in law. Obviously, there was this conflict of interest.

“Ping Yang, have some respect. I’m only here to buy some alcohol and I’m no boy toy.” Qingfeng Li glimpsed at Yang Ping and said with dissatisfaction.

Ping Yang smirked and scorned, “Bullshit, alcohol? Are you planning to buy some alcohol from my sister in law’s chest? I can just tell that you are not a good man.”

“I’m just going to say this one last time; I came here for some alcohol. I don’t have time for this nonsense so I suggest you to get out of my way before it’s too late.” Qingfeng Li looked angry with his eyebrows twisted.

Father in law is still waiting for the alcohol and Ping Yang keeps talking. This is really annoying.

 

Chapter 642: Drinking with Father-in-Law

“Brat, how dare you threaten me. You want a taste of my fist?” Ping Yang shouted with a sneer.

Qingfeng Li laughed, feeling sorry for the guy in front of him. How come there were always dumb people like this one. Honestly, he didn’t want to bully them because they are too weak. But they always came up to him themselves.

“Get the hell out of here before I count to three.”

Qingfeng Li looked at Ping Yang and started to count, “1, 2, 3.”

Ping Yang didn’t move a bit but still looked at him with a mocking face. He even waved his fist at him to flex his biceps. Apparently, he didn’t see Qingfeng Li as a threat at all.

Well, now I have to resort to violence since talking did not work.

Qingfeng Li walked to Ping Yang, reached out his right foot and kicked at his belly.

Seeing Qingfeng Li kicking towards him, Ping Yang wanted to block it. However, Qingfeng Li was too fast and he kicked at Ping Yang in no time. Ping Yang was kicked onto the floor quite a distance away and started to shout in pain.

“Sh*t, you dare to kick me, you are digging your own grave.” Ping Yang was mad. He wanted to show off in front of his sister in law but didn’t expect Qingfeng Li to kick him onto the ground with a simple move. This was way too embarrassing.

Ping Yang stood himself up. The pain was giving him a hard time keeping his face straight. He took out a switch blade from his chest and flipped out the blade, pointing it at Qingfeng Li.

“Ping Yang, no blade, put it away!” Seeing Ping Yang taking out the blade, Wanru Xu got scared and yelled. She didn’t want Qingfeng Li to get hurt or lose his life.

Wanru Xu was very thankful for Qingfeng Li. If it weren’t for him, she would have gotten hurt just now. Who would’ve thought Ping Wang was crazy enough to take out a blade. He was quite the bastard indeed.

A switch blade?

Qingfeng Li sneered at him. This kind of weak bastard was nothing for him.

“Here is a taste of my blade, boy.” Ping Yang sneered and reached towards Qingfeng Li.

“Hurry and dodge it!” Wanru Xu was so worried she was about to cry seeing Qingfeng Li staying there and not moving at all.

Qingfeng Li only smiled at her reminder. He stayed still until the tip of the blade almost touched him and clamped the blade with two fingers.

What? Catching the blade with his bare hand?

Ping Yang was shocked. He had no idea the young man in front him was so cocky. Nipping it with your fingers? Who do you think you are? A martial arts expert? Ping Yang used his entire strength to rip the blade through Qingfeng Li’s skin.

But what happened next shocked him completely. The tip of the blade not only couldn’t cut Qingfeng Li’s skin, but the blade’s body also began cracking up.

Qingfeng Li slapped him twice but he still wasn’t satisfied. Another kick landed on Ping Yang. With a shoot of pain, Ping Yang was kicked four or five meters away out of the shop and landed heavily on the ground.

“Get lost.” Qingfeng Li cursed in anger.

Ping Yang stood up in pain with his face swelling like crazy.

He looked at Qingfeng Li in fear and ran away like a crippled p*ssy. Qingfeng Li indeed scared the hell out of him and all he wanted to do is to run away from him now.

“Qingfeng Li, Thank you for that. Otherwise, I was going to be in trouble today.”Wanru Xu thanked him.

Qingfeng Li waved at her, “Don’t worry about it. I’m here for some alcohol. So just quickly get me two bottles.”

Wanru Xu flushed with a little bitterness. Am I so annoying that you can’t wait to leave?

“Qingfeng, I love drinking, here, cheers!” Shi Lin raised the bottle for a cheer.

“Dad, is that all you can drink?” Qingfeng Li looked at Shi Lin and said bitterly.

“Qingfeng, it is cold today, can we stay over at your place?”Xiaoyun Muasked, knowing she couldn’t carry the passed out husband.

Qingfeng Li didn’t expect his mother in law would want to stay over with them. He was okay with it, it was up to Xue Lin.

The velvet duvet was very large and comfortable and it was the perfect size for two people.

Qingfeng Li held Xue Lin’s body up against his. They were so close that they can hear each other’s breath and heartbeat.

Xue Lin’s heartbeat kept speeding up while her face was showing an obvious blushing like a ripped persimmon. She tightened up her body in scare.

“Don’t you worry little red riding hood, the big bad wolf will be nice to you.”Qingfeng Li smirked and reached out his wolf claw, grabbing Xue Lin’s bum.

The seductive smell the Xue Lin emitted got Qingfeng Li very comfortable and dizzy.

“Big bad wolf, don’t bully little red riding hood.” Xue Lin whispered in a tiny voice. Qingfeng Li would have missed it if he wasn’t listening carefully.

“Don’t you worry. The big bad wolf won’t bully the little red riding hood.” That being said, Qingfeng Li’s hands went all over Xue Lin sneakily.

Poor Xue Lin had been taken advantage completely ever since she got into bed with Qingfeng Li.

Qingfeng Li was very happy about this. He wouldn’t let the opportunity of taking advantage of Xue Lin slip away. And her face was as red as the sunset now.

Just when Qingfeng Li was having a great time bullying Xue Lin, they were shocked by a huge sound from downstairs.

Xiaoyun Mu and Hai Lin were too frightened to stop him seeing how crazy Shi Lin was going at everything.

“Mom, what is going on? Did he get kicked in the head by a donkey or is this an epilepsy we didn’t know about?

Xiaoyun Mu didn’t know how to react to Qingfeng Li’s remark. Yes, it is your father-in-law’s fault. But how can you talk about him like that?

He promised himself to never drink with Shi Lin again because he was such a horrible drunk.

Shi Lin was running after Hai Lin around the room and Hai Lin has already gotten hit quite a few times since he was a slow runner. He looked very pathetic running around with several bruises on his face.

Qingfeng Li knew that this had to stop before Hai Lin got terribly injured. This is my own house after all and this shouldn’t happen in here. It would be a giant joke.

Qingfeng Li went straight up to Shi Lin and caught the stick right before it landed on Hai Lin.

Shi Lin was drunk but he didn’t lose his conscious. Seeing his stick grabbed, he turned and hit it towards Qingfeng Li.

Qingfeng Li was aware that he is the father-in-law. But he wouldn’t let Shi Lin hit himself. Therefore, he reached out his right hand and slapped it onto the back of Shi Lin’s head.

Shi Lin rolled his eyes and fainted onto the floor.

“Brother-in-law, did you kill my dad?” Hai Lin shouted seeing Shi Lin fainted.

Xiaoyun Mu ran over in a hurry and said, “Qingfeng, your father-in-law was just drunk. But there is no need to kill him even if he smashed everything you own.”

Xue Lin came downstairs after hearing the loud noise. She heard her mom saying Qingfeng killed her father right when she stepped into the room.

She wasn’t close to her dad but he was her dad after all. The family bond cannot be weakened. She almost fainted when she heard that her husband killed her dad.

“Dear, you actually killed my dad?” Xue Lin asked with a completely pale face.

Chapter 645: Killed Father-in-Law?

Seeing Xue Lin’s pale face, Qingfeng Li didn’t know what to say. Who said I killed my father-in-law? You can eat whatever but shouldn’t say whatever.

“I heard mom said you killed my dad?” Xue Lin pointed at Xiaoyun Mu with her face still looking pale.

“Of course I wasn’t lying. I can wake him up if you don’t trust me.” In order for everyone to believe him, Qingfeng Li found a basin and filled it with water. He poured all the water in it onto his father-in-law to everyone’s astonishment.

His father-in-law was suddenly awakened by the cold water all over him. He struggled to stand up. You have to admit, cold water was the best way to awaken the drunk. He was already half sober.

“Dad, you are alive?” Seeing Shi Lin waking up, Hai Lin asked in surprise.

Shi Lin slapped the back of Hai Lin’s head and yelled, “Your dad is breathing perfectly, how dare you curse me to die!”

Hai Lin looked bitter seeing Shi Lin all full of energy again. I was worried about you because you looked pretty dead just now.

Shi Lin woke up and everyone was relieved. Xiaoyun Mu and Xue Lin knew that they wronged Qingfeng Li so they looked at him with a sorry look.

Qingfeng Li didn’t care much about being wronged by his mother in law. However, Shi Lin wasn’t very happy about being poured on a bucket of cold water out of nowhere.

“Son, why the hell did you pour cold water on me?” Shi Lin looked at Qingfeng Li from an angle. He felt even more angry seeing the empty bucket in his hand.

Qingfeng Li did feel sorry for Shi Lin. There was an obvious bump on Shi Lin’s forehead from his punch and his clothes are soaked with cold water in this cold weather.

“Dad, you were too drunk so I was helping you getting sober.”Qingfeng Li explained.

Shi Lin frowned and wanted to be mad at him but Xiaoyun Mu stopped him, “That’s enough, look around the living room, you smashed the TV, the cups and the table. I’m pretty sure you would’ve set the house on fire if it weren’t for Qingfeng.”

Hearing this, Shi Lin turned towards the living room and realized there was indeed a mess. Almost everything has been broken.

Shi Lin knew that he tended to go berserk when he got drunk and apparently that was what just happened. He felt embarrassed doing this at his son in law’s house and broke everything in their living room. Shi Lin felt so embarrassed that he wanted to find a gap on the floor and hide in there.

However embarrassed he was, Shi Lin would never apologize to his son in law. He knew it was all his fault but it was just too embarrassing to say sorry.

Xiaoyun Mu saw right through him and said, “You are soaked in cold water. Why don’t you go get changed and get the rest so you won’t get sick?”

“Ah..Ah..Son, I’ll go get changed and get to bed then.” Shi Lin smiled at Qingfeng Li and left in a rush.

“Qingfeng, I will pay you back the amount of money the damage costs.” Xiaoyun Mu said after Shi Lin had left.

Qingfeng Li shook his head and said, “Mom, don’t worry about it. We are a family so how could I ask for money from you. I can get some new ones tomorrow.”

Of course, he couldn’t ask his mother in law to pay him back. He had to take care of it himself because it would be bad for his reputation if people found out.

“Qingfeng, I’m going to go take care of your father-in-law. Have a good rest yourself.” Xiaoyun Mu smiled and left in embarrassment as well.

Xun Lin looked around the living room and was upset about her beloved TV and teacup being smashed.

“Honey, don’t be mad. I’ll go shopping with you for a new TV and tea cup set.” Qingfeng held her hand and said.

Xue Lin nodded. There was nothing she could say but to agree.

Due to the huge drama Shi Lin created just now, Qingfeng Li and Xue Lin were both feeling a little awkward after coming back upstairs and forgot about the excitement they were having.

Xue Lin lied in bed with Qingfeng Li holding her. He didn’t take advantage of her since he knew that she wasn’t in a good mood.

“Trash, how can he call himself the King of Assassins of the Tiger continent when he couldn’t even take down the Wolf King.” The Gator King sneered and scorned.

The man in black twitched his lips a little and said with his head down, “Master, there is another piece of news besides the death of Bach. The Wolf King has issued a challenge in the under world and claimed that he wants to challenge you in the dark world arena in three days.”
