Chapter 666: Call From Xue Lin

 

Eastern Sea City, Huaxia.

Xue Lin wasn’t used to the empty villa after work. It seemed like such a long time for her even though Qingfeng Li had only been away for a day. She would start missing Qingfeng if she couldn’t see him for even a single day.

Xue Lin’s charming face turned frowny. Out of a woman’s instinct, she sensed something disturbing for no reason, as if Qingfeng Li had gotten into trouble.

Xue Lin had just got off work and she was exhausted after being occupied for the entire day. However, she took out her phone to call Qingfeng, disregarding the hunger and tiredness, as she really missed her husband.

The call wasn’t picked up no matter how long Xue Lin had been calling, which worried her even more. What gave her more mixed feelings was that an automated message said Qingfeng Li’s phone was out of service.

Xue Lin knew that Qingfeng Li went to the Tiger Continent with Alice, but she didn’t have Alice’s phone number.

Oh right, Alice had been Ruyan Liu’s bodyguard recently. She should have her number.

Xue Lin and Ruyan Liu were rivals in love, and Xue Lin would never call Ruyan Liu if it wasn’t for the sake of Qingfeng’s safety. Therefore, she pulled out her phone and dialed the number.

Ruyan Liu was wandering around in the living room as she had the same concerns. Her phone rang at this time. She thought it was from Qingfeng Li, but it turned out to be Xue Lin as she took a look.

“Huh, why would Miss Lin call me all of a sudden?” Ruyan Liu smiled charmingly before pressing the answer button and asking.

Xue Lin was so anxious that she asked immediately, “Ruyan Liu, do you have Alice’s number?”

“Obviously, I have Alice’s number.”

“Give me her number, I have some emergency here.”

“I don’t get along with you, so why should I tell you.” Ruyan Liu gave a slight smile and replied.

Xue Lin’s face on the other side of the phone darkened, and rage arose in her heart. She would have started trash talking Ruyan Liu if it was before, but she had to tolerate it in order to get Alice’s number.

“Ruyan Liu, I really need Alice’s number.”

“Sure, Xue Lin. But you have to call me Big Sister Ruyan if you want Alice’s number.”

“Don’t push my limit Ruyan Liu. It’s impossible for me to call you Big Sister Ruyan.” Xue Lin said madly as she held the phone, her whole body shivering.

Xue Lin and Ruyan Liu were rivals in love, they both liked Qingfeng Li and wanted to be the one in charge. Ruyan Liu was trying to make her the legal wife and Xue Lin the lady on the side by asking Xue Lin to call her “Sister Ruyan”, which apparently pissed off Xue Lin badly.

“Xue Lin, if you don’t call me Sister Ruyan, then I won’t give you Alice’s number.” Ruyan Liu said casually. She would be in labor very soon and she needed to find a father for the baby. She didn’t want the baby to come to the world without a father.

Looking for a father for the baby, Qingfeng Li would be the first choice with no doubt. All Ruyan Liu wanted to do now was to steal Qingfeng Li from Xue Lin.

“Ruyan Liu, you are so ruthless. I’ll call you Big Sister Ruyan once you give me Alice’s number.”

“Call me Big Sister Ruyan first, let me hear it.”

“Big Sister Ruyan, send me Alice’s number.” Xue Lin tightened her crystal white teeth, her nose almost scrunched out of place. Damn coquette, wanting to be my sister, screw you!

A joyful look arose on Ruyan Liu’s charming face, and she said, “Younger sister Xue Lin, 139 xxxxxxxx is Alice’s number.”

Xue Lin hung up as soon as she wrote down Alice’s number. She didn’t want to waste any more time on Ruyan Liu as she was very discontented with this coquette.

Having the number given by Ruyan Liu, Xue Lin started to call Alice.

The call went through soon, Alice had no idea who it was since she didn’t have Xue Lin’s number.

“Who is this, what is the matter?” Alice frowned while staring at the number and then asked.

“This is Qingfeng Li’s wife, Xue Lin. Can you let Qingfeng Li answer the phone, Alice?” Xue Lin opened her red lips and asked straightforwardly.

Alice frowned upon hearing what Xue Lin said, she didn’t expect that Xue Lin would call her. Alice didn’t know what to do as she looked at Qingfeng Li laying on the bed unconsciously.

“Miss Alice, please let my husband pick up the phone.” Xue Lin asked again trying to rush Alice.

“I’m sorry Miss Xue Lin, Wolf King Highness is busy now, I’ll ask him to call back once he comes back.” Alice lied and didn’t tell Xue Lin that Qingfeng Li was in coma.

“Fine, please remind him to call me as soon as he comes back, and tell him I miss him a lot.” Xue Lin’s tone downcast and hung up the phone.

The look on Alice’s face turned complicated. She had some mixed feelings, and she was jealous of Xue Lin, as Xue Lin was Qingfeng Li’s legal wife with a marriage certificate, and she was just someone who had sex with Qingfeng Li.

Ruyan Liu called to ask about Qingfeng Li not long after Alice hung up on Xue Lin. Alice had no choice but to make another lie to Ruyan Liu.

“Wolf King Highness, please wake up soon. Xue Lin, Ruyan Liu, me and many other people worry about you.” Alice looked at Qingfeng Li who was laying on the bed unconsciously, with her eyes full of tenderness.

Qingfeng Li was laying on the bed, meanwhile, his Wolf King Bloodline was under evolvement.

A black vortex appeared in Qingfeng Li’s Dantian. The black vortex looked very odd as if it was a black hole in the universe that was too pitch dark to see the end of itself.

The black vortex was rounded and unfathomable. It seemed that it connected to an mysterious space.

Any astronomer would be shocked to see this black vortex, since the black vortex inside Qingfeng Li was the exact same as a black hole seen in space.

The black hole could absorb any energy in the universe. Spaceships, asteroids, planets, and even light can’t get away from it.

The black vortex inside Qingfeng Li was just formed like the black hole in the universe. Although it was newly formed, it seemed to absorb energy. The only difference was that it was absorbing the Crocodile Bloodline from the Crocodile King and the Black Ox Bloodline from Jihoon Park.

Qingfeng Li’s power was building up even though he was in a coma.

At the moment, Bernard pushed the door open and ran inside in hurry.

“Miss Alice, we have trouble now. The assassins from the Skeleton League and Hell League are coming. All the security guards at the front door were killed, and they said they would crush the Wolf King Highness’s head.” Bernard’s face turned pale and said with fear.

“Wolf King, come out and die.” Suddenly, a loud shout came from outside, its voice filled with strong murderous tendencies.

“Miss Alice, it’s bad! These assassins are already outside, what do we do?” Bernard said with horror plastered all over his face.

As a mega business tycoon in Paris, he was perfectly aware of these super-assassins from the Skeleton League and the Hell Alliance.

Alice looked at the unconscious Qingfeng Li. She bit her teeth and said, “Stay here and take care of Wolf King, I’m going out to stop them.”

Alice was fully aware that Bernard was just an ordinary person. Sending him out would mean his immediate death. She was at least a level SS fighter so she could at least stall them.

“Miss Alice…” Bernard wanted to say more, but Alice had already gone out the door. She knew of the grave danger in doing so, possibly even giving up her own life, but she had to risk it all for Qingfeng Li’s sake.

As she opened the door, her expression immediately changed, her pupils suddenly shrunk. What greeted her was more than a hundred men in black. These men in black were divided into two teams. The clothes worn by the left was sewn with skull patterns, representing the Skeleton League, and the clothes worn by the left was sewn with patterns of hell, representing the Hell Alliance.

The hundred men came from two of the top four assassin groups. Every one of them emitted a powerful aura that screamed murder. These assassins were all top-tier fighters, at least with a rank of S, with the two leaders at the level of SSS.

“Hahaha, where’s Wolf King? Did he die? How could he send out a woman?” The voice came from the head of the Skeleton League. He was a man in his thirties holding a long knife, with a cold face.

“Armans, have you forgotten? Yoshichiro Izu told us about the Wolf King’s unconsciousness. He’s probably dead by now.” said Luke, the head of Hell Alliance.

Sh*t, upon hearing that it had been Yoshichiro Izu who told these assassins about the Wolf King falling unconscious. Alice’s face grew dark, she was enraged.

She had to admit that Yoshichiro Izu was cunning. He knew that he would be stopped by the Boxing King Shiwei Guo, so he gave the news of an unconscious Qingfeng Li to the Skeleton League and Hell Alliance so that they could kill him.

Armans florished the long knife in his hands and said coldly, “Alice belongs to the Wolf King. Since he’s unconscious, let’s capture her and torture her to death.”

Luke nodded, agreeing with Armans. He also wanted to torture the Wolf King’s woman.

The two assassin groups were both Qingfeng Li’s enemies. Armans was the son of the previous leader of the Skeleton League, and Luke was the son of the previous leader of the Hell Alliance. Both of their fathers were killed by Wolf King, so they naturally hated him.

“Go, get Alice for me. I’m going to torture her right in front of Wolf King.” Armans commanded the assassins with a wave of his long knife.

With Armans’ order, more than a dozen Skeleton League assassins immediately dashed towards Alice. They wanted her alive.

~Shoo shoo shoo~

Suddenly, silver needles shot out from Alice’s hands, piercing the throats of the assassins. The assassins were killed instantly, their necks spewing out blood everywhere.

These were only level S assassins, so naturally they were no match for Alice’s SS abilities.

Seeing that Alice had used her hidden weapon to kill a dozen of his men, Armans’ eyes flashed of anger.

“Alice, you dare to kill my men, I’m going to torture you until you die.” Armans laughed coldly as he walked towards Alice with the long knife in his hands.

~Shoo shoo shoo shoo shoo shoo~

Alice knew of Armans’s powers. She shot out all of her silver needles as she charged towards him.

Unfortunately for Alice, Armans was a level SSS master. Her silver needles posed him no threat. With a swift gash of his black long knife in the air, he sent all of her needles away instantly.

After he repelled the silver needles, Armans shifted his body and arrived in front of Alice in the blink of an eye. Like lightning, he whipped out his long knife and cut off a few strands of Alice’s hair.

Alice was startled, Armans was way too powerful. She was no match for him.

Pang!

Suddenly, Luke came behind Alice and struck her with a hard punch, sending her to the ground.

Puh.

Alice opened her mouth and spat out a huge gush of fresh blood, painting her face red. Her body was heavily wounded and she couldn’t stand even if she wanted to.

“Luke, Alice is my prey, why did you hit her?” Armans said, looking slightly irritated. He wanted to take his time slicing open her clothes. Now that Luke brought her down with one punch, he felt very annoyed.

“Armans, our mission today is to kill Wolf King. We need to be quick … do not waste time.” Luke said, glancing at Armans,

“Alright, we’ll bring Alice to Wolf King’s room, kill him, and play with her in front of him.” Armans sneered. He grabbed the heavily wounded Alice and walked towards Wolf King’s room.

Bang!

Armans kicked down the door to the room. What greeted him was an unconscious Wolf King on the bed and his caretaker, Bernard.

“You, you, how did you get in?” The sight of multiple assassins had Bernard scared out of his wits.

Bam!

Armans slapped Bernard and sent him flying. Bernard puked out a huge gush of blood, his body trembling.

“Wolf King, I thought you were very powerful. I’m going to cut your head off and avenge my father. Then I will torture your woman.” Armans said with twisted grimace on his face as he looked at the unconscious Wolf King.

Alice’s eyes were filled with despair, tears rolling down her pretty face. She decided to kill herself later through tongue-biting. Even in death, she wanted to be with Wolf King. She would not allow herself to be ruined by these scum.

“Baby, don’t cry. After I cut off the Wolf King’s head, we’ll have some fun.” Armans laughed coldly. He waved the long knife in his hands, and stabbed towards Qingfeng Li’s head.

The black vortex in Qingfeng Li’s body had finally completed absorbing the consumed bloodline powers, making his body more powerful than before. He suddenly opened his eyes.

Ka-chak!

Qingfeng Li reached out two fingers, directly grabbing Armans’ long knife. He squeezed with force, and the long knife broke in half.

“Release Alice.” Qingfeng Li stood up, his face cold.

The sight of blood on Alice’s face, obviously heavily wounded, enraged Qingfeng Li.

“Wolf King, you’re awake. This is perfect, I’m going to kill you first, then I will play with your woman.” Armans snickered coldly with a murderous look.

Hearing Armans’ words, Qingfeng Li’s eyes became enraged. His whole entire being emitting a sharp ferocious aura.

Chapter 668: Death By A Slap

 

“A deathwish.” Qingfeng Li smiled coldly. He suddenly struck out with his palm and attacked Armans’ head with a terrifyingly fast blow.

Bang!

Armans’ head instantly split open like a watermelon, exploding from Qingfeng Li’s punch. His body fell limp.

In a matter of seconds, the triumphant Armans, who had threatened Qingfeng Li and his woman, turned into a corpse.

He was the leader of the Skeleton League, a level SSS master. He didn’t even have the time to react before the Wolf King killed him with a single blow. Everyone was stunned, watching Qingfeng Li with terrified eyes, as if they’d seen the devil himself.

As for the assassins at the back, their faces flushed pale and their bodies trembled. They had seen powerful masters before, but none as horrifying as Qingfeng Li.

The ability to kill a level SSS master with one blow. This kind of power surpassed their wildest imagination.

Qingfeng Li killed Armans as if he had slapped dead a fly. He didn’t even look at the dead Armans. He swiftly embraced Alice into his arms, rubbing the blood off of her cheeks, looking concerned.

“Sh*t, Yoshichiro Izu gave us the wrong information.” Looking at the dead Armans, Luke’s face flushed pale.

Yoshichiro Izu had informed Armans and Luke of the Wolf King’s unconsciousness and that his power had weakened. He didn’t tell them about the Wolf King’s truly frightening powers. He was as powerful as a demon from hell.

Luke and Armans shared similar powers, both level SSS masters. Now that the Wolf King killed Armans with one blow, Luke had to escape. He turned his body and began to run.

“You want to run?” As if he was a bolt of lightning, Qingfeng Li arrived in front of Luke with one swift motion, cutting him off from his escape.

“Master Wolf King, please let me go.” Luke begged as his face flushed pale. He didn’t dare to offend the devil standing in front of him.

Bang!

Ignoring his pleas, Qingfeng Li struck Luke with one blow to his head, shattering it into pieces. He was deader than dead.

Luke, the leader of the Skeleton League, a level SSS master, was dead.

Another one-slap death?

All the assassins looked at Qingfeng Li with horror in their eyes. He was more terrifying than the devil. They had just witnessed their masters, whom they thought were second to none, squashed by the man standing in front of them.

“Run!” the assassins yelled, their voices filled with terror, as they began fleeing towards every direction.

They were completely bludgeoned by Qingfeng Li’s abilities, afraid to oppose him. They just wanted to run far away from this monster.

Like black lightning, Qingfeng Li caught up to the assassins with one swift move. He struck out his fists relentlessly, killing one assassin with each hit, directly blowing up their bodies, leaving behind no trace of flesh or bones.

Within ten minutes, Qingfeng Li had killed all of the hundred assassins. The entire red wine estate reeked of blood.

The two assassin organizations, the Skeleton League and Hell Alliance, ruled the Tiger Continent for years. Now that both leaders were killed, they no longer held standings in the top four assassins organizations in the world.

In a mere ten minutes, Qingfeng had ended two of the top four assassins organizations in the world. If word gets out, the news would rattle the entire underworld.

Qingfeng Li returned to his room. He took out nine silver needles and tended to Alice and Bernard’s wounds. He was now at a level of Lower Heaven pinnacle tier and was now able to use Genuine Energy for healing. Not long after, both were restored to complete heath.

“Bernard, tidy up the corpses in the wine estate and find someone to clean up the place.” Qingfeng Li said.

“Yes, Master Wolf King.” Bernard said with a face full of admiration. What he had just witnessed truly stunned him. In his mind, the Wolf King was an unrivaled god.

“Alice, I’m so sorry, you’ve suffered.” Qingfeng Li said apologetically, stroking her face.

“Silly, I belong to you. I wouldn’t regret dying for you.” Alice said with tenderness. In her heart, the Wolf King’s life was worth more than hers. It would be fine if she died, but his death would be disastrous.

Qingfeng Li was touched. He didn’t know how to thank Alice, so he held her head and kissed her.

Waa~~

Alice whimpered into Qingfeng Li’s kiss, immersing herself.

Alice’s lips were soft and sweet, incredibly comforting to kiss. Qingfeng Li kissed her with all his might, as if he was sending all his love through his lips.

“Oh, I see I’ve arrived at a bad time.” Suddenly a teasing voice came from behind.

Qingfeng Li let go of Alice and turned to look. He saw Catherine standing behind the door, watching him with questioning eyes.

Catherine’s face was beautiful, currently ruddy, as if it were a bright red apple. Her eyes were blue like gems, her gold locks curled behind her like golden wicker.

Her body was impeccable, her chest like honeydew, a deep crevice amongst snowy white flesh, incredibly eye-catching. She had a pair of long, slim legs, looking especially beautiful.

“Catherine, why are you here?” Qingfeng Li asked, his admiring gaze fleeting.

Just as he was kissing Alice, Catherine’s sudden appearance proved to be a little bit annoying. Albeit, this third-wheel was particularly beautiful.

“Wolf King, have you forgotten? I am supposed to take you to Albron, the Cardinal. I called your phone and couldn’t reach you, so I came here instead.” Catherine said with slightly curved lips.

Qingfeng Li nodded, suddenly realizing that he had forgotten about Albron. No wonder Catherine came to find him. The power of a Cardinal was immense, even surpassing the president of Wolf Continent.

Upon hearing Catherine description of the phone, Alice suddenly spoke out, “Boss, when you were unconscious, Xue Lin and Ruyan Liu both called. They were very worried. I told them you were out on business. Xue Lin wanted you to call her when you return.”

Qingfeng Li gave Alice an appreciative look. Qingfeng Li knew that Alice had lied to the two women so that they wouldn’t worry. It was the right thing to do.

“Catherine, hold on a second, I’m calling my wife.” Qingfeng Li smiled lightly as he prepared to make a phone call to Xue Lin. He noticed however, that his phone was dead, so he took Alice’s phone and dialled Xue Lin’s number.

When Xue Lin answered her phone, Qingfeng Li said, “Baby, you’ve been thinking about me the whole day?”

When she saw the number on her screen, Xue Lin thought it was Alice who had called. The sound of Qingfeng Li’s voice surprised her, instantly delighting her.

“Dear I’ve really missed you. I can’t sleep if I don’t see you even for a day.” Xue Lin’s beautiful face was full of longing. Although Qingfeng Li hadn’t left for too long, it was as if years had gone by for Xue Lin. She was constantly missing him.

Chapter 669: Honey, Big Bad Wolf is Safe

 

“Little Red Riding Hood, Big Bad Wolf is safe. Don’t worry.” Qingfeng Li said smiling. Hearing the longing and the concern in Xue Lin’s voice, Qingfeng Li was very touched.

Although he’d only left for a day, Qingfeng Li missed Xue Lin as well. He decided to return to Eastern Sea city as soon as his affairs in the Tiger Continent ended.

“Big Bad Wolf, take good care of yourself. There are a lot of bad people out there.” Xue Lin’s pretty face reddened, clearly embarrassed. She felt shy everytime Qingfeng Li called her Little Red Riding Hood.

“Little Red Riding Hood, don’t you worry, those bad men are no match for me.”

“Hm, you’re not allowed to hit on any women.” (TL: WHAT A F*CKING LIAR)

“Don’t worry, I will definitely not hit on any women.”

“Little Red Riding Hood will wait for your return, remember to come back early.”

“Alright, Big Bad Wolf will come back soon. Little Red Riding Hood better wash up and wait for me.” Qingfeng Li smiled and hung up the phone, because Catherine was still waiting for him.

If Catherine hadn’t been waiting, he wouldn’t spoke to Xue Lin much longer.

After Qingfeng Li ended his call with Xue Lin, he called Ruyan Liu and reported his safety to her as well, ensuring her not to worry.

Catherine rolled her eyes, speechless, “I didn’t expect Wolf King, the all-mighty master throughout the dark worlds to play such an infantile game in his spare time.”

In Catherine’s heart, Wolf King was powerful, invincible, and someone who was always stoic. However, Qingfeng Li looked like he was a fool in love.

Qingfeng Li smiled lightly, staying silent. These little games were a secret between him and Xue Lin.

“Alice, you and Bernard stay here and rest. Catherine and I will go and meet Albron.” Qingfeng Li said, turning himself towards Alice.

“King, it’s best if Miss Alice came with us. Master Albron wants to meet her too.” Catherine said, batting her eyes.

Although Qingfeng Li didn’t understand why, he still agreed, heading out with Alice and Catherine.

But as soon as they left the Wine Estate, they met a middle-aged man. This man was handsome, his brows thick. Both his skin color and his hair showed features from the Dragon Continent.

The middle-aged man was dressed in antique clothing, carrying a long sword on his back, appearing to be a swordsman. He was just passing by the Bernard Estate when the pungent smell of blood drew him in.

The middle-aged swordsman stood there, as if he was blended in between heaven and earth. One couldn’t find him without careful observation.

Qingfeng Li only spared the middle-aged swordsman one glance, immediately getting onto the car with Catherine and Alice.

“This guy looks so familiar.” The middle-aged swordsman said thoughtfully as he watched Qingfeng Li drive off.

Suddenly a thought had hit him, he remembered something. This young man looked a lot like the Conqueror, Third Master Li.

“Is it possible that this young man is related to Third Master Li?” Watching Qingfeng Li drive off, the middle-aged swordsman entered deep thought.

Regardless if they are related or not, I have to ask him. After a slight hesitation, the middle-aged man left towards Qingfeng Li’s direction, chasing him. He was incredibly fast, disappearing in an instant.

The Notre-Dame de Paris was the largest cathedral in France. It was where the Holy See operated, and also the place where the three most important Cardinals of the Tiger Continent came to pray.

The Notre-Dame was located in the heart of the city, occupying a prime location. It was incredibly luxurious and prosperous. The entire building was built from white marble, its architectural style typical of Tiger Continent. Smooth, neat, solemn. It impressed onlookers with its stateliness.

At this moment, on the front row benches, there sat an elderly man who looked about 60 years old. He had greyish white hair and a proud nose. He had on a red cloak and in his hands he held <<The Bible>>, silently praying.

This elder was Albron, one of the three most important Cardinals of the Holy Sea. Although he had immense powers, studying <<The Bible>> was part of his daily practice.

Catherine drove Qingfeng Li and Alice to the Notre-Dame de Paris personally. When two of the clergies saw Catherine, they immediately saluted her with respect. Evidently, Catherine held a high status here.

“Master Albron, the Wolf King and Miss Alice has arrived.” Catherine said as she appeared before Albron.

Albron put down <<The Bible>>. He turned and smiled, “My dear princess Alice, we meet again.”

“It’s you!” At the sight of the old man, Alice’s beautiful face appeared shocked, as if witnessing the impossible.

Fives years ago, when Alice was still a Swedish princess, she had met Albron in the palace. Unlike his current red cloak, Albron only dressed in casual clothing back then. Alice later ran away from the royal palace in order to escape an arranged marriage. She then met Qingfeng Li and joined the Wolf Fang team.

“Princess Alice, the King misses you dearly. He wishes for your return to the palace and your acceptance of the marriage.” Albron said to Alice with a serious expression.

“No, I will certainly not agree to marrying Augustine.” Alice rejected, shaking her head,

Augustine?

Qingfeng Li furrowed his brows in surprise. Augustine was the young master of the greatest power in the Tiger Continent, the Sky God League. He held supreme status, and it turned out that Alice was his fiancee.

But of course, now that Alice belonged to Qingfeng Li, he certainly wouldn’t agree to the marriage, even if it was Augustine.

“Wolf King, I brought you here today to persuade Alice. After all, she is a member of your Wolf Fang team. I hope you can bring her back to the royal palace so that she can marry young master Augustine.” Albro smiled lightly, his eyes calm.

In the Tiger Continent, the Sky God League was the most powerful force. The continent had a lot of countries, but the Sky God League remained the strongest.

The Sky God League was highly secretive, and immensely powerful. There were legends of immortal warriors and divinities.

“Wolf King, you should know of the powers of the Sky God League. If you don’t let Alice leave, your enemy would be the greatest force in the Tiger Continent. Chapter 670: Helping Alice

 

As a Cardinal, Albron’s powers came second only to the Pope. He wasn’t afraid to threaten even the Wolf King.

“The Sky God League is indeed powerful, but Alice belongs to me. I won’t let her go even if it means going against the Sky God League.” Qingfeng Li laughed coldly. He grabbed Alice’s hands and prepared to leave.

“Stop right there.” A tall man dressed in armor suddenly came from the side, blocking their way.

The tall man was handsome with sharp facial features, 6 feet tall, muscles firm. The armor he wore made him look even more mighty. He was a Holy Knight of the Holy See, responsible for the safety of the church, and for the safety of Albron.

“Get out of my way.” Qingfeng Li said coldly, glaring at the knight.

If he had known about Albron’s plans to retrieve Alice, Qingfeng Li wouldn’t have come. Alice began to follow him since long ago. The two went through many hardships and life and death situations together. There was no way Qingfeng Li was going to let Alice return to the royal palace to marry someone else.

“Alice stays, you can leave.” The Holy Knight clearly knew of Alice’s identity. He said coldly, his voice full of indifference.

“And if I take her away?”

“Your stubbornness will kill you.”

“Kill me? I don’t believe you can.” Qingfeng Li laughed coldly, his eyes enraged.

Sensing the tight tension between the two men, Catherine said:,”Dave, let the Wolf King leave.”

“Sister-in-law, why let him leave?” The Holy Knight named Dave bowed towards Catherine and asked.

Catherine’s boyfriend was the lead Holy Knight of the Holy See and Dave was just an ordinary Holy Knight. It was natural for him to call Catherine sister-in-law.

“I brought Wolf King, I have to make sure he leaves here safely,” Catherine said, slightly furrowing her brows.

Dave felt unsure of what to do. The woman in front of him was his sister-in-law, but he was also under the command of Albron the Cardinal. He was between a rock and a hard place.

A trace of disbelief appeared on Albron’s aged face. He said lightly, “Catherine, you are the girlfriend of Uranus, the head of the Holy Knights. It seems inappropriate for you to help another man.”

His words irritated Catherine, but Albron was one of the Holy See’s three most important Cardinals, second only to the pope. Not only that, but it was also said that the Pope valued him greatly. Although Catherine had a prestigious background, she didn’t dare to offend him easily.

“Master Albron, I wish for you to let Wolf King leave here safely.” Catherine had a good relationship with Qingfeng Li, she didn’t want him to die here.

“Catherine, since you plead for him, I’ll give him a chance. If he can defeat Dave the Holy Knight, I will let him leave.” Albron said lightly.

Catherine furrowed her brows. The Holy Knights were the strongest fighters in the Holy See. Every Holy Knight possessed immense powers, they were all martial arts masters.

Other than that, Catherine also knew of Dave’s powers. Since he was assigned to protect a Cardinal, he must be immensely powerful, at least a peak-stage Lower Heaven realm master.

“Then so be it, I will defeat the Holy Knight. Give me your best shot.” Qingfeng Li said towards Dave, laughing lightly. He knew that during any negotiations with great powers, words were of little use. If he wanted to gain freedom and respect, he needed strength, and he needed a lot of it.

Dave walked towards Qingfeng Li dressed in armor, holding a spear in his hand. The spear was two meters long, its whole body pitch black, its head glimmering with frosty light.

Shoo!

Dave waved his spear into the air, suddenly stabbing towards Qingfeng Li’s chest. He wanted to stab Qingfeng Li and pick his body into the air.

Qingfeng Li laughed coldly. He held out two fingers and managed to catch the long spear with a gentle clasp.

The spearhead was made of a special material, making it incredibly sharp. Qingfeng Li’s fingers were however, impenetrable. His fingers were totally fine as he clasped the sharp weapon.

Seeing Qingfeng Li’s finger-hold on his spear, Dave’s expression changed, his eyes momentarily stunned.

He suddenly strengthened his force in an attempt to pull the spear out of Qingfeng Li’s hands. Naturally, Qingfeng Li didn’t allow him to pull away. Qingfeng Li clenched his fingers. With a snapping sound, the spearhead broke off, falling to the ground.

The spear of a Holy Knight was finely crafted from a rare kind of iron. Within it, there were also a mix of other rare metals. Now that it broke from a snap of Qingfeng Li’s fingers, everyone was completely stunned.

“Bastard, you dare to cut my spear?” Dave cursed angrily, his face distorted by rage.

The spear was a symbol of the Holy Knight. It was their most prized weapon. Dave had carried his spear with him for many years, defeating multiple enemies. He was deeply connected to the weapon. Now that Qingfeng Li broke it in half, Dave was piqued with rage.

Dave’s body suddenly emitted a powerful murderous air, he was out for blood. He dashed forward, waving his fist and ruthlessly striking towards Qingfeng Li, creating five holes in the atmosphere.

Dave opened his mouth and spewed out a huge gush of blood. His body heavily wounded, unable to stand up. He looked at Qingfeng Li with terror in his face. The young man standing in front was too powerful, greatly exceeding his expectations.

After only one move, the Holy Knight was defeated.

Unfortunately for Dave, he didn’t even get to witness Qingfeng Li’s berserker mode. Qingfeng Li had defeated him with the sheer strength of his body, without the use of Wolf King bloodline.

“How did Wolf King become even more powerful since the fight of the masters at Battle Arena?” Catherine’s expression changed, a touch of surprise in her eyes.

Although Qingfeng Li was powerful during the fight of the masters at Battle Arena, blowing up both Crocodile King and King of Taekwondo, he was nowhere near as powerful as he was now. In that battle, he used Wolf King Totem and he didn’t need to use it just now.

“Blood Swallowing is indeed powerful, I’ve already evolved.” Although Qingfeng Li appeared calm, his heart was excited.
