Settled?
The members of the literature and art club walked out of the cabin and had no idea what happened outside. However, they did hear the painful cry off in the corner. Ye Qingxue attempted to get out to get a grasp of the situation but she had been interrupted by Bingxin.
All of them were curious as they were oblivious. They did not understand why Xia Tian would inform them that everything was settled.
Brother Bao was already taken away by the staff when they walked out of the cabin. His underlings and bodyguards had already left and the corridor was completely empty.
“Where are those people?” Ye Qingxue glanced around the scene and did not see a single soul. She had just heard someone screaming in agony earlier but now she could not spot a single person.
“Perhaps they’ve all gone to pray in the temple.” Xia Tian smiled gently.
“Are you sure?” Ye Qingxue was in disbelief.
“Qingxue, I think we should leave first.” Bingxin reminded.
“Yes. Let’s leave this place for now. Everybody should head home. I’ll inform of Sister Wen of what happened today.” Ye Qingxue was incredibly furious of the sports club’s actions that day.
Everyone started leaving Emperor KTV one after another.
Xia Tian found the situation rather strange. Since a major incident happened here earlier, the other cabins far away were still packed with people and the owner of this place never appeared from the beginning until the end. It was as if nothing had happened at all.
However, everything was clear as day when Xia Tian and the other two got out of Emperor KTV.
There were three police cars parked nearby and drove in from three directions the instant Xia Tian walked out of the KTV. They had already been hiding there, waiting for Xia Tian to appear.
The three police cars immediately surrounded Xia Tian the instant he came out.
“You’re suspected of third-degree assault and you’re required to follow us to help with our investigation.” One of the policemen took out a handcuff as he tried to chain it on Xia Tian.
“Hold on a second, since I’m helping you out with the investigation, is it really necessary to handcuff me?” Xia Tian’s expression turned cold. He would not have resisted if Ye Qingxue and Bingxin were not beside him. Furthermore, he noticed that Mr. Liu sitting behind the car. It was obvious that everything was a set up by him. He had already hired a lawyer beforehand and was specialized in these activities.
He would be in a tough situation if he were to follow along.
However, he himself could not follow him yet as Bingxin and Ye Qingxue would be in trouble if he were to do so.
“I can’t do that. We’ve received a report that you’re an extremely dangerous man and has to be brought in with handcuffs.” Although the police did not make it overly difficult with Xia Tian, he insisted that the handcuffs must be put on.
“An extremely dangerous man? Fine, I’ll follow you guys but I must see these two leaving this vicinity safely.” Xia Tian nodded.
“No. You’ve to come with us now.” The policeman was incredibly persistent.
“Don’t make me do it.” Xia Tian shifted his gaze and stared at the policeman as he spoke coldly.
The policeman felt that he was being targeted by a beast. He was sweating bullets as he felt incredibly uncomfortable. “F-fine.”
“Cousin sister, why don’t you two head home for now. I’ll be fine.” Xia Tian smiled gently. He had to make sure that Ye Qingxue and Bingxin returned safely or it would spell trouble when the KTV staff were to come out again.
“What about you?” Ye Qingxue looked at Xia Tian worriedly.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.” Xia Tian called a taxi for Ye Qingxue and Bingxin. He had even used his Insight to check the police car before getting into it.
“Qingxue, what should we do?” Bingxin asked.
“I’ll give my mother a call.” Ye Qingxue tried calling her mother but no one responded.
“What is wrong with everybody today. Sister Wen didn’t pick up the call earlier and now mother is doing the same as well.” Ye Qingxue frowned as she lamented. “Looks like I’ll need to make a trip back home.”
Xia Tian started resting to attain his mental composure when he entered the police car. He had to make enough preparation since no one could tell what would happen later. They had hired a lawyer and there was this mysterious Mr. Liu as well. They would definitely not let him off the hook that easily.
Inside the police station.
“What’s your name?”
“Xia Tian.” Xia Tian responded as he sat lazily on the stool.
“Do you know where you are right now?”
“The police station.” Xia Tian answered.
“You know that you’re in the police station; how dare you act imprudently. Answer my question.”
“I’m merely here to assist with your investigation, but I wish to know for what crime I have been charged with. Besides, I have been answering your questions.” Xia Tian sat straight as he answered seriously.
“Assault and battery. Thirteen people were sent to the hospital, and one of them is even in the ICU.”
“What does that have to do with me? Do you really think that I’m capable of sending so many people to the hospital all on my own?” Xia Tian had no plan to confess. If he were to admit guilt of this incident, he might as well live the rest of his life in prison.
“It’s best for you to cooperate with us or you’ll never see another sunrise ever again.”
“Mr. Policeman, are you threatening me? Perhaps you have proof that I’m the one responsible for this.” Xia Tian looked at the policeman in disdain.
The interrogation room’s door was opened as that Mr. Liu and another policeman entered the room. When Mr Liu entered, he signaled the interrogating policeman to leave and let him handle the rest.
Xia Tian knew that the main show was about to begin the instant he saw Mr. Liu.
Mr Liu signaled the other policeman with his eyes as the latter had temporarily shut off the video recorder. Xia Tian started shaking his head as he watched their every action.
That day, he finally saw the world.
“B*stard, now that you’ve fallen into my grasp, prepare to get a taste of me. If you’re being honest with me, I’ll instruct my men to charge you two counts less. If not, you’ll rot for the rest of your life here.” Mr Liu looked at Xia Tian cunningly. He was utterly embarrassed by what had happened in Emperor KTV earlier. To top it off, Brother Bao’s shoulder had been broken.
Brother Bao was Mr Liu’s sworn brother. Brother Bao had been severely harmed, and his future would be over if he did not settle this issue properly.
“That Brother Bao said the same thing earlier.” Xia Tian smiled gently.
“How dare you bring up Brother Bao. My work is now ruined because of you.” Mr Liu looked at Xia Tian. “I was planning to request something from Brother Bao today, but you’ve harmed him to such a pitiful state.”
“Oh. It seems like I’ve gained more than I anticipated.” Xia Tian smiled gently.
From Xia Tian’s perspective, it was a joyful moment if he were able to destroy the enemy’s plan. Coincidentally, this was his favorite thing as well. Although he had handcuffs on, he was not worried in the slightest.
“You b*stard. If kneel down, kowtow to me three times and beg for your life, you might just be able to not rot in this place forever.” Mr Liu felt that he had lost all of his face since he had to run away for his life earlier. That was why he demanded Xia Tian to kowtow before him.
“If you kneel down and kowtow to me three times and beg me to spare your life, you might be able to not rot in this place forever.” Xia Tian replied Mr Liu with the same threat.
“You f*cking b*stard, do you really think that I can’t do anything to you? I’ve hired the best lawyer and I can sue you until you rot in jail forever.” Mr. Liu slammed the table and hissed.
“I believe in justice.” Xia Tian smiled gently.
The lawyer stood up and walked behind Xia Tian as he planned to ambush Xia Tian from his blind spot.
However, it was as if Xia Tian had eyes at the back of his head.
The handcuffs appeared on the lawyer’s hand out of the blue.
“You, how did you do that?” Mr. Liu was in total disbelief as the handcuffs around Xia Tian’s hand disappeared.
Mr Liu wanted to teach Xia Tian a good lesson but he was astounded by what had happened.
Was he superman? Perhaps he had encountered the legendary superman. At the KTV, he alone was able to heavily injured Brother Bao even though he was surrounded by forty to fifty thugs. Then, this happened even when his hands were cuffed.
Both Mr. Liu and the lawyer were dumbfounded. Everything happened too quickly.
“What are you trying to do?”
Mr. Liu pressed the alarm inside the interrogation room as the entire police station rang.
Meanwhile, Ye Qingxue had finally managed to call her mother.
“Mother, why didn’t you pick up the phone?” Ye Qingxue let out a sigh of relief. She could not find her mother after returning home and she was even more worried about Xia Tian’s situation.
“What’s wrong? Qingxue, why are you panicking?”
“Xia Tian has been detained at the police station.” Ye Qingxue summarised the entire incident to her mother.
“I understand. Don’t you worry. Xia Tian will be fine.”
